A Grand Time in Killarney
"A excellent hotel. very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was divine and the rooms spotlessly clean. the hotel is well positioned and right in the heart of Killarney. Just a short walk to anywhere. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The manager of the hotel was an absolute delight. Would definately stay there again."

Kllarney in Feb 07
"11:30 pm. Cold & Tired after an hour long 120 euro taxi ride from Cork Airport I checked into the Eviston with the Night Porter. The deal I had as the single occupant of a double room was extremly good, booked through Ireland Hotels. I was expecting the usual route march to a back room & got it. Right at the back in an obviously recent extension I found the room amaisingly nice well set out but cold. The room thermostat was set at 10C easy option turn up the stat & nip down to the bar (3:00am residents) for a pint. 9:00am Full Irish Breakfast in the well set out 1st floor Restraunt service was good as was the food. Down to reception check my email on the free access internet in reception. Back to the room passing the Fitness Room (locked) Looks small basic & dated. Shower (could have had a wirlpool bath) Out for the day. 10:00pm The Danny Mann Hotel bar has entertainment every night although this is tourist biased "Trad" ussualy it is quite good but hardly qualifies as what I personaly call Craic. Checked out 11:00 am following day. Overall a pleasant stay in a very nice room with good food good service and better than I had expected."

Didn't we have a lovely time....
"We were very happy with our visit to the Eviston House Hotel. we have 2 small children and the staff were happy to help with all our many requirements! Being in the heart of the town, we never had very far to travel, and the staff were happy to help with arrangements when we did! We will definitely visit again! Thank you to all who helped us - in particular the manager, Mr Walker who made it his business to make sure we were looked after."

What a lovely hotel
"We visited Eviston House Hotel in the week of 7th December 2006 and arrived one evening as part of a Shearings group in the pouring rain. We were all greeted by Christopher Walker, the General Manager and all ushered into the bar where there was a huge roaring fire and given a very welcoming glass of mulled wine. Our bags were delivered to our room without fuss and our keys made available to us at our leisure. For a large hotel, we found the Eviston to be very comfortable and cosy. Plenty of seating in the bar and the Music Lounge for those who wanted to enjoy the music but even more importantly in the reception there were sofas and comfortable seats for those wishing to chat and relax. More than that, we were very impressed with our double room and the whirlpool bath, which was most unexpected. The Manager and all his staff really put themselves out for us to ensure we enjoyed our stay and the food was was excellent. The hotel is in the centre of Killarney near all the shops and we also enjoyed a trip on the jaunting cars around Killarney National Park close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our five-day stay ."

Great Friendly Hotel
"My wife and I came with WA Shearings from UK. It was our first coach holiday. On arrival in Killarney, and to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to be greated by the hotels General Manager, who came onto the coach to welcome us, and explain our meal plans, and give a general overview of the hotel. We were also very surprised that the quality of food was excellant Breakfast started with a help yourself buffet of juices, cerels, fruit segmants, and fresh whole fruits. You can have as much as you want! after that, a hot cooked breakfast was served. tea or coffee was plentyfull, as was toast & soda bread. Dinners were great too! Choices of starters, main courses, and desserts each night - we stayed 5 nights, and again were pleasantly surprised that thye boss - Christpher, actually served everybodys main course himself! Normally in oue experience, guests never see the General Manager, he's normally always in the office or in a meeting!!! On our last night, the hotel gave us a xmas party. The tables were beautifully decorated with crackers and hats, and other xmas bits, - even some of the very hardworking staff, wore xmas hats! The menu was superb, xmas dinner with all the trimmings! There was live irish music in the bar each evening, which was excellant, even the bar staff and manager singing along to the bands. Again, the boss was there behind the bar, we wondered if he ever slept! The bedroom we had was very large & comftable. The housekeeping staff were excellant, constantly cleaning all day. We had our own tea tray in the room, so we could make a hot drink whenever we wanted. Pity there was no biscuits! On the last morning it was sad to say goodbye to Christopher and his staff, they had all looked after us so well. The boss even came onto the coach just before we pulled away to say thank you and goodbye. My wife and I have already decided that we will return to The Eviston with Shearings in 2007. It would be great if the same manager and staff are still there, we cannot praise them enough for customer service. Well done to Christopher and his staff."

Good Hotel in the City Centre
"This hotel is quite acceptable and right in downtown Killarney near the National Park and Cathedral. It has it's own free parking which is a necessity if you are driving. The in-house "Danny Mann Pub" was excellent. The hotel is due for renovation, but you could do worse."
