Fabulous apartments! Best gardens on the island! Peaceful location.
"These apartments are a good size, well equipped and immaculately clean. The gardens are stunning and definitely the best in the village, if not the island from what we saw. The family that run the complex are really helpful but never intrusive. The property is situated off the main road and the only sound we heard (apart from a little traffic noise on occasions) was the goats' bells and the old donkey across the road! The pool is a little small but very clean and not a problem as you can use pools further down the village. Tavernas in the village are close by and the bus service to Skiathos or the other end of the island is very efficient."

"Had a great time in Troulos in June this year and stayed at the Villa Maria. Very clean and lovely gardens. Rooms kept very clean. Very quiet area but only 10 minutes away from the beach and others easily accessible by bus. Our favourite was at bus stop 16. Lots of nice restaurants, our favourite being the one at the bend in the road opposite the bus stop, run by an English woman and her Greek hubby. Great food and wine. Loved the boat trip around the Island which we booked ourselves in the harbour at Skiathos town, so much cheaper and just the same. Would definitely go back to the Villa Maria and Troulos. Loved it."

Excellent, quiet, clean.
"Stayed for 7 days (with side trip to Skopelos)--absolutely gorgeous; the only only sound (this was out of school hols.) is the donkey braying in the am. No bar, no music. Staff v friendly. Recommend purchase A/C. Banana beaches a short drive. If you need to join the N. English group at Amalia, it is just down the road (need flashlight). Villa Maria is v popular, esp ground floor, reserve well ahead. Banana: see SunnyBanana web site. (a) (a) Take popup tent because there is little shade , & you are exposing new areas... You could just leave it behind.. yes, at the moment you can drive down the track v. carefully;on the way up, last few feet, send yr companion ahead to signal when safe, & make yr run. You will be forgiven if old or infirm."

Very very clean and well kept
"Just visited Villa Maria in May 2009. The owners were great very friendly. The apartments were kept soooo clean. Basic as most self catering rooms are in Greece, but great. Pool area extremely clean and lovely also. 10/15 minutes walk from the beach. Had a really lovely stay."

Stunning gardens, Friendly Staff, Clean & Comfortable
"i first stayed here in june 2006 with my mum and after the excellent service and cleanliness of the hotel as well as amazing gardens i decided to go back in august of 2008 with my boyfriend. The apartments are immaculate and the cleaners are very hard working, the room was spotless and cleaned every day, there are beautiful gardens at the base of the apartments which are maintained to very high standards, the pool is always clean. There is no pool bar or snack bar however this wasn't a problem as villa maria is situated in the heart of the town troulos with bars and restaurants being just a 5 minute stroll away. The pool area was quiet during the day making it the perfect place to relax. The staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough to help,as i mentioned villa maria is quiet without any entertainment or bar but i'm 18 and my boyfriend is 20 and we didn't get bored as it's nice to relax in the peace and quiet away from the bustling skiathos town, with the pool area being small we made friends with alot of people and everybody knew each other well by the end of the holiday, the hotel is a 15 minute walk away from the nearest beach however there is a bus stop close by which takes only a couple of minutes to the nearest beach at a cheap price, beware though just when you think the bus is packed to its maximum capacity the doors are opened and a whole crowd more people are forced on board. Overall Skiathos is a lovely island i have visited 3 times now and stayed @ villa maria twice by far it appears to be one of the best accomodation sites on the island i would deffinately recommend to people and families of all ages."
