A perfect gem, on a fantastic island - will be going back!
"Booked this deal with Kosmar the week before we travelled. Got a cracking deal (we obviously now know why!).
Arrived in skiathos early in the day and was very happy with the apartments.
you do have to walk up and down the lane in Kolios to get to and from these, but this is what makes them ideal! they're very peaceful, as they're the last apartment block. I'd say 10minutes pleasant stroll (both up and down mind!).
Showed to our apartments and immediatly knew we'd made the right choice. Considering the price we'd paid it was a fab bargain (would have paid more they were definitely worth it).
We had a large apartment with a furnished terrace onto a garden. It was really beautiful. Small bathroom and kitchen area. I wouldn't say that there was everything to make it easy to self cater but they do try.
More importantly AIR CON is FREE and it's the real deal! The safety box was 20 Euros for two weeks, which again is very reasonable.
What i would say is that we went end of season so not as polished as it could have been but we certainly didn't have any complaints.
The pool is lovely but is rather deep! very quiet during day and lovely wooden sunbeds. Being away from the road was a blessing. Also inland it was warmer!
The pool bar is also really lovely - ran by Maggie who is so helpful and takes care of everything for you. Drinks very reasonably priced and food exceptional. This is a family run complex where we were made to feel like one of the family. Maria runs the bar on the evening and always had a smile for everyone.
Skiathos is also fantastic! fourth time and will definitely be returning!. Aghia Paraskevi was the local village for tavernas - Green Park, Jimmy's (dont be put off by name!) & Infinity Blue were our favourites. Also in town the Calypso Italian in the new port was fab!
Best beach - aghia Eleanna. You can reach this next to koukanaries (which was always packed :( ). Also aghia paraskevi was nice.
Should definitely visit the Kastro if possible and hire a quad bike to do this - its worth it as you can go when it's quieter.
Would also recommend going to Skopelos and Allonissos - we saw dolphins while on the ferry!
Finally, food was exceptional everywhere we went! all very reasonably priced and great quality.
After our perfect holiday we were affected by the XL holiday collapse. Our greek hosts, Maria & Maggie and her family were fantastic. They let us stay in our apartments and gave us updates. I know that other owners did not do this - they really went the extra mile - they even called me in the UK to check we'd arrived after a 24hour coach/ferry/air/coach again ride. Also the returning guests to theodora (there are many) were very supportive. It's a truly friendly place to stay and you'll make many friends like we did.
Overall - book it for a quiet, but fun gettaway!"

"We stayed at the Theodora apts in Skiathos Last July.It was top class. We just wanted to unwind and we could not have made a better choice.Maria the owner was lovely, she could not do enough for us and the food was ace. They made you feel like part of the family so much so that we have kept in contact with them since and we can't wait to go back, hopefully this year.Yes its a bit of a climb up the track but a good way to walk off the hangover and the scenery will keep your mind busy.Totally recomend it to unwind."

Skiathos Trip - General Info + Theodora Studios
"Flight: No food included in thfare. Drinks/Tea/Coffee/Bacon Rolls/Meals can be bought. On the way home, we brought our own rolls - not the only one - and there was no objection.
The Runway in Skiathos is short, so Aircraft do not refuel there. They land in Northern Greece, our stopover was Thessalonika, for less than an hour.
Hotel: We stayed at the Theodora Studios. Very clean. The Staff were very pleasant. The small swimming pool is rather deep - 1 metre even at the shallow end - for young children. However, back down the 6/7 minute walk to the main road, across it and about 50 metres away is a pleasant beach with beds/parasols, a drinks bar and a very pleasant Taverna. We ate there a few times. We were in Skiathos in late September and one unseasonally chilly night, they provided us with a patio heater.
The Road up from the main road to the hotel is now paved.
The hotel held a Greek night one evering. Great value, terrific food. Again, on the chilly nights, they lit a wonderful wood fire in the Pool Bar. Enjoy."

"We have just returned from the Theodora apartments and had a fantastic time the staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble even booking taxis for us, the food was limited but great and fresh. Apartments were very clean maid came in nearly every day. We attended the greek night again the food was great only 15 euros well worth it. Drinks were all makes no cheap Vodka Gin ect even the mixes were brands. We certainly will return, only a few minuets walk to the beach which was so clean a couple of great tavernas on there to eat in again everything was very fresh. Kolios is a very small resort but well worth a visit."

Simple - yet enjoyable
"For a week's holiday, we were looking for a quiet retreat to simply unwind. The Theodora did not disappoint. With it's clean and simple accommodation, we were able to relax and unwind. We went in September so it was pretty quiet, which was lovely as we are not in to noisey places or loads of children. Maria, the host was in deed very hospitable and showed a great deal of passion in her accommodation and island - nothing was too much trouble!
Check out Koukounaries beach, which is probably the best beach on the island. You do need to pay for sunbeds but it is definately worth it.
One small gripe is that the hotel is on ahill, which you have to walk up and down a narrow road. However there is an amazing restaurant half way up that overlooks one of the bays, which is simply beautiful at sunrise - you will need to book a window seat mind as it gets booked up quite quickly.
Overall, a lovely beach holiday for those who are not looking to do much."

Out of this world
"The Theodora is perfect for that relaxing getaway. The setting is beautiful and the gardens lovely. The main thing for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and staff. Best holiday I have ever had.

Skiathos Theodora Apartments Kolios Pretty & Clean Friendly.
"We stayed at the Theodora Apartments Kolios it was clean and the gardens were well kept. The staff were helpful but I think it would probably be better in the height of the season because they only had one greek night which was ok. All in all the place was kept clean and it was very basic swimming pool was quite small. Unfortunately we went to Skiathos at the wrong time of year it is a beautiful island, but September is the worse time to go. If you dont mind rain and storms your ok but it spoilt our holiday we had a couple of excursions which had to be cancelled and on one excursion on a catamaran we were actually chasing the sun! The dogs home is well worth a visit you have to be happy for them because they are so well looked after, I was nearly tempted to buy one! The Ostriches are hilarious they are very funny there is an ostrich farm up by the dogs home on the north side of the island. We also went on a boat trip to alonnisos on the trip we had the pleasure of seeing 7 dolphins at diffrent times that was amazing its so great to see them swimming free. But then everybody has to see places for themselves, but do go in the summer season I should imagine the place is heaving then because the bars along the harbour are lovely lots of them have cushions outside with candles on the table, quite romantic. The airport runway is funny if you go you will see why!! There is a sign which says keep away from aircraft blast!!!!"

"We stayed in The Theodora Apartments during Aug 2005. What can I say, but when we left we felt part of the family. The apartments are basic (as most Greek apartments)and very clean. There is a good pool with a lovely pool bar that serves very tasty bar food. Dont bother with a car or taxi, the buses are frequent and great fun and the bus drivers and conductors are so accomodating and friendly particularly with children, they even carry the buggy on for you and ensure your child is seated. Make sure you visit Koukounaries beach with its crystal clear waters and white sand it is apparrently one of the best beaches in the world, the beach bars serve great snacks also but beware of the wasps - they are everywhere!!! The Greek night at the Theodora was excellent with so much food and the entertainment outstanding. Overall it is a great island to visit no yobs to be seen and the Theodora is a great base."

"We have stayed in Skiathos now 6 times, and for the first time this year we stayed at the Theodora aparts in Kolios. I wish we had found it sooner.
The room was lovely, with great views. The pool clean, and Maria the host couldnt do enough for you to make you feel welcome.
We will be booking again for next year.."

"Feel compelled to write a quick review of our stay here!
We stayed at Theodora in July 2009 for two weeks and cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay.
Our flight was delayed by 8 hours :( but were greeted by Maggie (english) and made so welcome it was almost worth the delay! Our daughter had become ill at the airport and within 10 minutes of arriving at Theodora, we had a doctor's appt arranged for the morning.
The rooms are spacious enough, clean and comfortable. They are serviced almost every day, nothing seems to be too much trouble.
It's close to the beach and the bus stop is just at the bottom of the road, very convenient, plus you pass a shop on your way back to the apartment, so easy to pick up supplies etc.
A nice pool and pool bar on site, snacks available most of the day and a really pleasant Greek night on tuesdays, with all the food you can eat!
One small drawback, WASPS!!! Take repellant with you or sting ease, though i must say, if the worst does happen (it did for me) Maggie moves rather quickly with the vinegar and ice cubes!!!
If you're looking for a really friendly place to spend your holiday on this beautiful island, you can't go wrong here. We will definitely be returning. Enjoy!!!"

"I went to theodora for 2 weeks with my boyfriend. The photos do not do the apartments justice. They're really pretty and very well maintained by daily maid service. The pool is a bit small but very refreshing after an hour in the sun! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar stays open until you are ready to go to bed. There was a greek night which was very entertaining and the food was first class. I would recommend this to couples preferably, not too many children here and nice and quiet. A bus ride away from skiathos town which is recommended for a good night out but not too expensive, unless you count the bars on the front! The beaches are really amazing but difficult to access without transport, we hired a small motorbike and went all over the island. Would go back!!"
