First class stunning resort.
"Just returned from Sani resort October 2011.The service was absolutely astonishing,Dirk and his staff at customer service desk are always there to help and book your restaurants, nothing was too much trouble for them. This resort deserves its 5 star status. The food is the best I have ever had in greece, such a varied menu. The Garden theater shows were very good as was the hotel entertainment. We never had any trouble getting sunbeds around the pool or on the beach.Towels were provided at the pool and on the beach and the beach buddies were very helpful. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and it was nice to stroll down to the spectacular marina and have a cocktail at Mojoitos. The beach is blue flag and the sea is crystal clear. As the sea is shallow for a long way out it is perfect for children. The resort is pedestrianised and is so safe for families to stroll around with children riding their hire bikes etc.We are now booking to return in 2012 taking our grandchildren with us.The only thing I think they could improve on is something for teenagers in the evening ,maybe a disco or a teen club.Thank you from one very satisfied customer."

A Lovely Holiday
"My friend and I have just returned from a week at this hotel and we had a lovely time. The mainly Russian staff were all excellent and couldn't do enough to help you. Everything was spotlessly clean. The twin room overlooked the sea but was a tad cramped. There was no bidet which I found unusual for a Mediterranean hotel. The main restaurant can get noisy with the children so we booked into over 12s restaurant, which was excellent. The food was very good, with lots of choice and really fresh salads and fruit always available. I would advise anyone on half board to upgrade to full board plus for 20 euros a day - then you get your lunch and all drinks, which saves money as a glass of wine is 4 euros 80. Lunch is available at either the Poseidon Restaurant or the Dolphin Bar - both offer excellent choices and large portions.Service in the Dolphin bar can be a bit slow but it always friendly and helpful. We tried the dine-around menu in the Macaroni restaurant but the service was appalling and the food third rate. I got the feeling that if you went for the dine-around menu they lost interest in you. Back to the Verandah restaurant for us. We did take the evening sunset cruise, which was a free offer and was lovely. They do day time ones too. The pool is immaculately clean and the lad in charge of towels took pride in the state of the sunbeds and the towels. It was all very tidy and he would move the beds around for you if you wanted the shade. We had no difficulty finding a sun bed, though people did reserve them before breakfast (not allowed). The prices in the spa were very high so we gave that a miss. The only real criticism would be that the place could have been anywhere in the Med. It had no particular Greek feel to it at all and was rather bland."

Excellent hotels in a stunning environment
"Stayed at this resort in May 2009 ( Marina Suite) and May 2010 (Beach hotel double room) This May 2011 we are staying at the Beach Hotel with junior suite ocean front.( our goal is to eventually have stayed at them all culminating in the Asterias Suites) We cannot wait we are so looking forward to this. In the past 2 years of our stay we have found this resort to just get better and better. The staff are excellent and the standard of food is very good indeed. The Marina is gorgeous and a lovely way to spend an evening strolling round the magnificent yachts We love it so muchthat we are opting for a 2 week stay and feel very lucky to do this. If you are looking for a little luxury in a beautiful environment then please be assured that Sani is the place to go."

Fab Hol !!!!
"This was our second visit to this hotel, since our last stay it has had a major revamp. The check in was quick efficient and champagne welcome drink. The room was lovely, modern creams and brown, tea and coffee, corner shower cubical (no plumbing problems!)minibar, clean and very comfortable. We had a sea view wich was beautiful. Pool towels provided, nice padded sun loungers around the pool, although we prefered the beach for a sea breeze. It has an adults only restaurant wich was perfect for us, quiet relaxed dining, plenty of choice, well cooked buffet style, and the staff were excellent. You can dine around at different places wich is a good idea. We peronally don't go for entertainment so i can't comment on that. Not the place to go if you want loud music, clubs, shopping, or english entertainment. We will def, go again, it's not cheap but well worth what we paid."

Quiet but nice holiday
"Five friends of mine and me stayed at Sani Beach Hotel during the autumn holidays. Since the season was nearly over, you hadn't had much activities to do in the evening besides the very well organised and performed shows by the entertainment team. Also during the day the entertainment team did its best to help the visitors enjoying their stay in a very friendly and motivated way. As the pool and the beach were not as overcrowded as in summer getting a sunbed was not very difficult. The staff in the bars and restaurants has been very friendly but the food, mainly in the Poseidon Restaurant, was not very good at all. It was already cold and cooked with too much fat. The Veranda Restaurant was much better, and as only people being older than 12 years were allowed to eat there it was not as loud as in the Poseidon. The room was cleaned and the towels changed each day. But I cannot recommend a double room to be used by 3 persons. It is to less space. All in all, our holidays were really great (also thanks to the weather which was really sunny at all!). Maybe I will come back some day!!"

A disappointing two weeks
"Having returned from the Sani Beach Hotel just 3 days ago, I have to say that what I thought would be a fabulous holiday wasn't that great. The Sani Resort is stunning but if you're a couple looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, I would highly recommend you stay in one of the villas or don't go there at all. My boyfriend and I are both 30 and we enjoy a lie-in (not a lot to ask on holiday). Every single morning we were woken between 7.30 and 8am by loud early risers and people with children, who happily let them race up and down the marble-floored corridors and scream their heads off. The cleaners also start their rounds at 8.30am and think nothing of shouting "Good morning!" down the corridor at the top of their voices. It didn't seem to occur to them that people might want to sleep in. We had to buy ear plugs in the end but this didn't block out the noise of the people in the room above us who seemed to move their furniture around every five minutes, one night at midnight. Having read all the above reviews, I am also surprised to hear that sunbeds which had been 'reserved' before 9am were cleared. We didn't see this happening and only twice in 14 days did we manage to sit right by the pool when we happened to see someone leave. Otherwise, all the good sunbeds were all taken by 9am (on the beach as well) and sometimes you wouldn't see the people responsible for hours. The dine around programme isn't as great as it sounds. Apart from the Veranda and the Poseidon restaurants inside the hotel, there are three other places you can eat. The Greek restaurant isn't great and although Macaroni and Tomata (both Italian-ish) are very nice, their set menus tend to have two choices and they don't change them from one week to the next so you may end up eating the same thing if you don't want to pay extra. (Pizzas on the normal menu start at 12 Euros). Drinks are stupidly expensive. Cocktails are 8 Euros (£8ish), which is bordering on acceptable, but a gin and tonic will set you back £7, milkshakes £4 and soft drinks often more than £3. Unless you want to spend a small fortune, you won't be getting drunk in the bars. As someone who works in London I can safely say drinks were a rip-off. We saved ourselves a small fortune by getting some wine from the supermarket on a few nights and drinking it in our room! Lastly, when we checked out we wondered why our bill was so high. After examining all the receipts, we discovered that another guest had been giving our room number (in error we hope) and these had been added on. There were also receipts with no signature which for some reason had been allocated to us. Not a great note to end on but on the plus side (yes, there were some!) the staff are super friendly and helpful and the beaches are glorious. But if you want a chilled out, quiet time and you don't have kids, I wouldn't recommend going here. "

Better in 2007!
"We stayed at the Sani Beach Hotel because we had enjoyed a holiday there the year before. However it wasn't as good the second time around. We (2 adults and 2 children age 5 and 10) booked a junior suite with sea view and the room was lovely. Plenty of room and very clean. The previous year we had been able to eat in any restaurant in the hotel but this had changed and now children under 12 are not allowed in the Veranda restaurant. Had I known this I would not have gone! The poseidon restaurant is rather noisy and hectic also the food isn't as good as in the veranda restaurant. As for sunbeds, you have to be up very early to get one poolside and then you need to stay on the bed until 9am because otherwise if it's vacant the pool staff remove your towel and someone else can use it. This is a very good idea and they should continue to do this throughout the day should the bed be empty for more than an hour! Entertainment isn't great but the staff do work hard. Generally a lovely place to visit, didn't find it too expensive but won't be returning until children are over twelve."

Sani Beach Hotel & Spa
"I stayed at the Sani Beach Hotel for a week in August with my husband and two children aged 11 and 14. I have to say that I had very mixed feeling about this very expensive holiday. We booked a sea view junior suite. The room was a very good size and well equipped. From what we saw of the standard rooms, they are far too small for more than two people. The girlsâ beds were not of an adequate standard and very uncomfortable. The service provided by house keeping was excellent. There was no shortage of fresh towels and staff replaced them morning and evening. The staff overall were very friendly, efficient and helpful, the exception being the pool staff. The only way to describe their behaviour towards children was boardering on bullying. I appreciate that they have to prevent more rowdy behaviour, but I watched several children being bellowed at for just laughing too loud! The food was excellent with plenty of choice and theme nights. The restaurant staff were outstanding. Although we were there at the busiest time, we never had to wait for a table and didnât feel rushed. Whilst the hotel is of a very high standard overall and the location is fantastic, I wouldnât recommend it for families. The girls really enjoyed themselves, but were excluded from the nicer restaurants and trips and were viewed with suspicion by some staff if they ventured out around the hotel without us. "

we stayed at the porto sani village last...
"we stayed at the porto sani village last september for our wedding. my husband, little girl and myself loved this resort as a whole. we had family ataying at the beach hotel and all 26 of them thought it was one of the best holidays ever, we certainly did. if you like nothing to do but relax with the kids on the moist gorgeous beaches ever, then this is the perfect place in the world. Infact this weekend was our first anniversary, unfortunatley we couldnt afford to go back to celebrate it, but weve booked to go back in may 2009, and so have friends that came out for our wedding 2. staff are the best, theyll do anything to ensure your stay is the best, the hotels are all clean and furnished lovely, and the choice of food is ecceptional!! the dine around is also a great idea as you get to experience other restaurnats and bars. very nice place, we look forward to returning in may 2009 and for other years after!! The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough to help and make you feel so welcome. The food choice is amazing and the dine around scheme is a fantastic idea. The whole hotel is immaculate and the beaches are just beautiful. Our son made lots of friends and we met lots of lovely people who we will stay in touch with. Cannot wait to go back!"
