Dont go at the end of September
"On the whole a nice place to be, staff are friendly and polite, pool is clean as are the rooms. However, don't book a holiday thats runs over into early October, as you'll find the place shut with you still in it."

"We went back to the fanis appartments this year for two weeks we loved our holiday and the best bit about the family who run the hotel they remembered us from the year before they are still so friendly and there if you need anythink done.we had a lovely sea view room above the bar and we thought it would be noisy but it was'nt and this i can say as i had my daughter who is 9 and she was never keeped awake by the noise in the bar none of us was.Our rep was ZOE and she was fantastic the kids loved her that much that when it was time for us to leave my daughter and nephew cried. The hotel was cleand everyday and so was the pool we had clean bedding and towels every other day. There are lots of places to eat but i liked the cockney cafe as they made you feel very welcome and the food is good value for money we could never finish our meals as they were to big.We loved our hotel and the people who worked there it was a brilliant holiday for the whole family. x x x x x x x x x x x x."

"I have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Fanis for the second year running. The hotel is suberbly situated on the sea front. The rooms are basic with a small kitchen area, but clean, comfortable and freshly painted. For the second time we had suberb sea views.
The resort of Polychrono is very friendly, my friend and I had two teenage girls with us, who were safe to wander the resort themselves and as two women alone, we felt very safe here.
The staff at the Fanis are friendly and make you feel very welcome, especially Dinos who looks after the bar, he is a laugh a minute and full of energy and enthusiasm, he also ensured the teenagers didn't drink too much!!
The best bar on the resort is the Golden Bar situated at the end of the beach (near the water sports facilities). You can spend from dawn til dusk on their sunbeds with no charge as long as you order a couple of drinks through the day and with the hot weather you need them. Nicos looks after everyone on the beach by day and plays the DJ role by night, he has excellent english and loves chatting. The bar staff here are all entertainers and get everyone laughing with their antics, especially around 3am onwards, the bar only closes when the last person leaves, and can still be quite full at 4am.
The most authentic greek restaurant we found was the Summer Garden, back off the beach front, it offered a wide variety of authentic dishes all home cooked and very good quality.
We will be back next year, only this time we are planning a fortnight, a week is just not long enough.

"We stayed here for 2 weeks. This place is brilliant- ideal if you want a relaxing holiday. There were 10 of us that stayed here and we had a great time. The apartments are situated right on the beach from which is brilliant, just a quick step over the path and your in the sea. The complex is nice and the staff are very friendly. Especially Dinos and sackis. The people we met on the holiday made it very worth while. Geordie John and his missus Jenny were brilliant, as well as the rest of the people we met. Places to visit whilst you are there- Cockney Cafe- brilliant for english breakfast and they do the BEST sunday dinner i have ever had- the roast potatoes are fantastic and the portions are great. Also visit the EURO bar- 1euro a pint- you cant go wrong. Would definatley go back again."

"My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic week staying at the Fanis Apts. We booked a last minute through Thomson and we couldnt stayed anywhere better if we had planned the holiday for months. The Fanis is in an excellent spot, its right on the beach and the bars and restaurants are on the doorstep. The apts are clean and very spacious, with everything on the doorstep you dont need to walk anywhere and believe me in 35 degree heat you dont want to do any walking. We loved the fact that there are lots of greek tourists there and its not 'too english' there's a good mix of tourists but by far, the largest no is made up of greek tourits. And finally, the other guests staying at the Fanis were a lovely freindly bunch of people so all in all this was a great weeks holiday - perfect for families and couples.
One thing to beware of - you cannot get a taxi back from Hanioti at night so go during the day if you must or dont go, you're not missing anything!"

If you want a lovely relaxing holiday wi...
"If you want a lovely relaxing holiday with a romantic night life and fantastic view of the sea go stay at the Fanis!
We arrived there late afternoon to be greeted by Dino the bar man who took our suitcases and checked us into our rooms. The rooms are cleaned everyday clean towels every other day and beds changed! Very clean! We ate out every night so didnât use the kitchen but facilities were excellent!
There is the option of getting a safe but they are kept behind reception not in rooms but they do recommend you get one!
Ignore everything you hear about the pool rumours! The staff are fine with rings in the pool but not lilos! To be fair the sea is about 15 footsteps from the pool so if you have kids with inflatables they can go in the sea! The sea is a gorgeous blue and very clean you can see your feet in the water! The sand is rough and can get very hot so flip flops is a must!
The staff are excellent so good with kids and very keen to help! They made us feel welcome from day one and made our stay very very relaxing!
If you are wanting to eat our there are bars and little restaurants and taverns to the right and left of the apartments! Food is great! If you want a bit more of a night life go down the next town called Hanioti there are more bars and a few night clubs there! If you ask Deano he will ring you a taxi or you can just walk up the hill and wait for one its cost us about 5 Euros to get there!
The entertainment and Fanis is relaxed they do a karaoke night and a quiz night which is really funny - Dino tends to help you out with the questions!
Our rep was Zoe! She was fantastic we forgot to set our alarm for a trip and we got refunded of the money even though it was our fault!
I recommend the sunset cruise for a trip if you want a romantic night on a boat! - But do not go on the shopping trip they basically dump you in the next town 4 six hours and the shops were hard to find!
When we went there was a heat wave which made it very very hot but with the pool there and the beach only footsteps away its paradise!
Try and get a sea view when you book the view is unbelievable how close you are to the beach!
Over all this is the most relaxing holiday we have ever been on I would love to go back again itâs a holiday for all ages and familyâs!
Sorry for the big essay but itâs an amazing place and we will be going back!

"This year, I had a fantastic 2 week holiday with my family. Fanis Apartments are clean and well kept. It is very close to the beach and there are some lovely sunsets in the evening. The pool is not huge, but I wouldn't describe it as too small. The bar in the hotel is kept my Dinos, who is always willing to help, the cider is a little expensive though!
I'm only 16 and my favourite part was the fact that there is no drinking age in Greece so I could enjoy a nice cold beer. The surrounding area is not loud and not suitable for those hoping for a night life - Hanioti is a place for that. I have my GCSE exams this year, so I have the chance to go on holiday earlier which means a cheaper, quieter and more relaxing holiday. I am returning to The Fanis Apartments next year on the 3rd of July for two weeks along with more family. I can't wait.
I would definitely recommend this place.
P.S look out for dolphins at ANY time of the day!"

"Went to Fanis apartments in June 07, there were 17 of us. We all really enjoyed our holiday and as for the hotel it was so clean and so friendly. They were very welcoming from the minute we got off the coach.
It is a family run hotel by Sakis and his wife, they were so friendly anything we needed we only had to ask. And as for Deano our barman, he is a fantastic guy and will be a friend for life.
All the fun and the friendliness made us rebook to go back next year, we canât wait. The hotel is very clean and the garden and pool are well maintained.

HERS: We've just come back from a fanta...
We've just come back from a fantastic 2 weeks in Polycrono; it was much quieter than we'd anticipated being the 2nd week of September. Weather was good all but 2 days, any later could be a risk of bad weather. The Fanis is so close to the beach it's fantastic.
A word of warning however is if you're lucky enough to get a sea view as we were, be prepared you're on top of the bar which is open till 2am. The rooms are clean and tidy with a hairdryer for the ladies. The family were really welcoming and a lovely atmosphere, you couldnât really want anymore. Anybody fancying scuba diving should contact Odyssey diving in Palliouri, english based and fab. Enjoy, we did.
Weather excellent. The Fanis is very clean, they obviously take a pride in their hotel, the plumbing is terrible as is most of Greece but the toilets do flush eventually. Hire a car it the perfect time to learn driving abroad the road is straight and empty! Take ear plugs with a sea view room over the bar but some slack pants for all the lovely food and the Greek hospitality which is second to none.
An excellent time and great for diving. Fabulous sandwich shop at the top of the hill, we think its called yum yum. For those of you wanting a bit more liveliness, Hanioti is a bit livelier and is only a short taxi ride away.

"My husband I came home from 2 weeks at Fanis. It was a very relaxing holiday that we well needed.
The apartments were run by lovely people, very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were kept clean - we thank the housekeeping staff for a job well done.
The area and the grounds of the apartments were excellent, we couldnât have picked a more prettier place to stay. The shops and the restaurants were very good too; if you love Greek food they are wonderful.
For those who want English cooking try the cockney cafe a few blocks away well worth it. Thanks again Fanis for a lovely holiday.
