"We went for a nice quiet holiday and thats just what we got. A friendly family run place where where you are always greated with a smile. a very nice pool and pool side bar that serves snacks through the day and one night a week where they do a bbq, which you will need to bring your appitite for. There is also plenty of bars and resterants on the sea front to choose from. we rented a quad bike for the day which allows you to see the rest of the area with its many litte fishing ports, also a sulpher spa. I would also recomend the short walk up to hanioti along the cost but not between 12pm and 4pm as it can get far to hot. the beach is only a matter of meters away and good for swimming and looking at the fish in the clear blue water on its shallow shelf. all in all i would highly recomend these appartments for its friendly atmosphere and as we all like clean rooms.I WILL DEFERNATELY BE GOING BACK. "Stayed August 2007 for a week during the Greek national holiday which made the complex and resort busier but more enjoyable. The Pilalidis Studio Apartments are basic but clean and the complex is well maintained with lovely gardens and pool area which never got overcrowded. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and maids came everyday. The poolside bar served snacks and the must try milkshakes. The resort of Pefkohori is small and busy especially during Greek Holiday week (middle of August) with plenty of bars, restraunts and tavernas. Best places to eat were Paul's Place in the old village, Eliza and Roma Pizza on the main road. Best bar in the resort is Mamos which is owned by Christos (im sure that was his name but we just called him Mamos like everybody else) and his English wife Phillipa. Mamos's has a lively atmosphere with internet facilities and a large TV screen. Mamos trys to get every live football match on british or greek TV but mainly has Liverpool games on as he is a LFC fanatic. Meals and drinks in any restraunt were very reasonably priced and meals were costing an average of 60 euros a night for 6 people. Would definately go back to the same apartments if a british tour operator did them. The complex is idealy located at the end of the resort with a 10 minute walk into the centre and a few minutes to the beach which has execellent views of the Sithonia peninsular of Halkidiki. The only downside is the transfer from the Thessalonika Airport which can take up to two hours on a coach. Would recommend a private taxi transfer which would only take just over an hour. I advise you not to be put off by the tranfers as resort of Pefkohori is too good to miss out on. "

This was a very relaxing holiday to say ...
"This was a very relaxing holiday to say the least. The apartments themselves are very clean and are small not a lot of cooking facilities could do with a small microwave etc, only had a small two ring electric cooker. The beds are very clean are changed regularly and have clean towels twice weekly. The pool area is well maintained and very clean and the grounds themselves are very beautiful to look at. The pool bar serves meals but only snacks so not very good for food but there are plenty of tavernas and hotels locally which do good meals at very cheap rates. The hotel does lack slightly in entertainment but as we went during the last two weeks of the season I hope it would be better in peak season but otherwise it is a very nice relaxing place to visit. Would suit elderly couples but not sure about young families as there was not much night life. The hotel staff and owners are very nice, very friendly and helpful they will do anything for you and the bar man Kris had a lot to put up with the late nights and jokes he was a good laugh. Would go back again but not with children and have a sun soaking holiday. The local people told us we had exceptional weather as it was very hot the first week about 32 degrees and they said it was usually cooler at that time of year so we were lucky. "

"These apartments are quite small but they are clean, and comfortable. Bed sheets/towels changed once a week. The whole place altogether was lovely! The rooms have air conditioning, but you have to pay weekly and I think it was 30 euros which is a great price and it does get hot in the room without. The pool was lovely and it has a small childrenâs pool off to the side. The pool bar was nice. The pool bar sells food, but not much (cheese & ham toastie and things like that). The family that own it are very friendly and welcoming. The Beach down the road is great and bars/restaurants etc. Definately recommend Pilalidis Apartments. "

"The Pilalidis hotel is set in well kept gardens with an outdoor bar and pools which are open throughout the day. The staff are well presented and pleasant, and are on hand to advise you on any details you require in the area. The main beaches in the area are busy in high season, but if you walk out of the rear gate, turn right then left onto the road it will take you to the beach by the end of the promenade. Turn right again and the beach there has plenty of space. The main resort of Pefkhori has plenty of bars and tavernas to enjoy."

"We have just spent a week in the studios and found the area OK. We were a little disappointed at how busy the resort was but understood it was the Greek holidays, and therefore lots of Greek people on holiday. The apartments, although small and basic, were kept clean by the very willing staff each day. The gardens were also very pretty. We were very disappointed not to be able to sit by the pool as no umbrellas were provided. We have never encountered this before, and it was not always possible to shade under a tree. As the temperature was around 38 degrees Centigrade, we needed some shade. Perhaps this is something that should be looked at. "

"Beautiful place to stay, apartments quite small and basic but set in beautiful gardens just like in the brochure, friendly staff. Lovely pool and bar area. spotlessly clean only about a 3 minute walk to the beach, the beach to the right as you get to the bottom of the lane is a lot quieter (no rows of sun loungers) just lots of beach and clear blue waters. Good selection of restaurants with lovely Greek food and the waiters are very friendly. A good range of shops. I will definitely be going back again and again and would stay at pilalidis studios as it's set in such beautiful surroundings."

"Loved both the resort and the apartments. The apartments are small and the clientele mainly couples so very peaceful. The pool area is beautifully kept and a pleasure to soak up the sun in. The resort itself was just what we were looking for - nice beach , lots of well priced tavernas and bars and thankfully no all night clubs ( not that we know of anyway) A perfect getaway if you're looking for peace and relaxation."

"For my first holiday with my boyfriend at ages 18 and 20, we were amazed at how easy it was. A holiday is a scary prospect, and the most you want is for it to be perfect. Everything down from the Main Tour Operator to the Hotel was wonderful. The travel between Gatwick to Pefkohori was comfortable and informative as was the welcome meeting. The Pefkohori area was not a touristy place yet somehow was made for tourists. In the two weeks we were there, we met barely any British people. Everyone, even some staying in our Hotel were Greek. The town has a lovely selection of various restaurants and local services. The locals are so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for Days out then the various tour operators will guide in planning a perfect day. We chose to spend a day at Waterland which was absolutely brilliant. It's fantastic for the family or just for the young at heart! A trip to Moudania involved seeing the local market and we also took a Sunset Cruise which included some of the most wonderful service and was a fantastic experience. And it was an amazing evening despite a tragic few minutes of sun setting. The atmosphere just made up for it. Everything is low value and, staying in Self Catering, it was great to be able to eat fantastic, quality food at such incredibly low prices, and in such beautiful surroundings. This was the most fabulous holiday I've experiences As the first holiday without the family or parents I will never forget it!"

"The first thing thatâs hits you is the colour of the gardens. Everywhere spotless. The pool area, and pool, staff very helpful, could not find fault with anything. The studios are small but have everything you need, great with aircon. As you donât get that very often in greece. Short walk to the beach, would recommend the day cruise fab.. Will be going back. Only down side is the 2 hrs on the coach buts its worth it."

"This is such a pretty accommodation in a great location. The rooms are a little basic however are very comfortable and the staff look after you very well. The pool area was very picturesque and quite quiet however we did travel in September and were told it could get quite busy in August. The beach is about a 3 minute walk away and the main promenade is very flat however parts of the resort are on a steep hill. We loved Pefkohori and will definitely return and we cannot think of a better place to stay than Pilalidis."
