Jewel in the Tsilivi Crown
"My wife and I recently returned to the Pantheon for our 3rd successful year and can honestly say the standard of the hotel is as high if not higher than our previous visits. From the 1st day to the 14th we were made to feel very welcome and the family go out of their way to satisfy any reasonable requests they were asked. The location is a little out of the way and is up a hill but this added to our visit as we like to be away from the noise for a peaceful vacation and choose to go into town as and when we wanted to. The walk back up the hill could be a little scary for a family with small children but we often returned in a taxi which cost 5 Euros (£4) from as far away as âPopeyeâsâ if we did not feel like the walk. The walk into the main town takes about 10 minutes at a casual pace to the edge of the main town of Tsilivi where all the bars and restaurants are. The walk in to town is downhill so we found this a pleasant walk. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned daily to a very high standard by the cleaners who work tirelessly. The towels are changed daily and sheets every other day. Complimentary slippers and welcome pack is also provided The food was excellent. There may not be the varied selection of a restaurant but they cover all the traditional dishes and were very tasty. We ate in the evening at least of half the holiday and were more than satisfied with the quality of the food. All the people we spoke to who also ate there thought the food was excellent as well. The pool area is kept clean and tidy and even though the hotel was fully booked (for this late time of year) we always managed to get a sun lounger. A pleasant surprise was that guests actually took their towels with them when they left the pool area for a couple of hours allowing other guests access to the beds.. This year we upgraded to the superior room and we found this room more than adequate for what we needed. They are roomy and bright and each room have both air con and safe and are free of charge which in some hotels will up ring quite a bill if both used. A small fridge and hairdryer (for those who need one) are also provided in the rooms Yiannis and his family take the guests stay very serious and are happy to help in any way they can to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Dimitris works tirelessly as do all the family and staff and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for a peaceful holiday. "
