"this will be mine and my husbands 3rd time staying @ plaza 2 , what can i say, from the moment you step off the coach you are greeted with a freindly service from a welcoming family.
the hotel its self is in an ideal location a few seconds from the beach , and a few minuites from the main strip.
the rooms are very clean, and the food at the plaza is great, and superb value for money.
the family that run this place , will do any thing for you, wich i personly think this makes your holiday better, knowing you feel like home from home.
i would deffinatley recomend plaza 2 for any one that is looking for a great relaxing holiday, and i know this won`t be my last time going back.

"Zanteplaza Hotel is a combination of family and entertaining place. First of all is in frond of a lovely sandy beach and everything is so close. For the lover of clubbing Zanteplaza is next to the most famous clubs in Lagana in the island of Zante. Moreover the place was unexpectedly clean and people were friendly and polite offering qualitative services. I still remember that the hotel is built like a small village and this is the reason why everyone could feel comfortable and relaxation. Apart from that the entertaining facilities available in Hotel, like Greek nights, made our holidays unforgettable. It's value for money.I strongly recommend it to everyone, I will be there this summer again..."

Absolutely Appauling Apartments
"We arrived at the Plaza Apartments and the room was not ready. We waited at least 30 mins and then got shown our room. I could not believe what I was shown to. The room was supposedly cleaned (but it wasn't). The shower was broken and held together with 2 hair bands, live wires sticking out of the shower wall. The room was absolutely filthy. The fan had about 6 inches of dust on it (yes - no joke!!). The sheets on the beds were damp and I think things were crawling in them!! The bathroom was the size of a postage stamp and flooded in about 2 seconds. The floor was soaking wet and the maids black hair was all over the floor - not good!! All crockery had not been cleaned and had food all over them. There was a high smell of peroxide chemical when you flushed the toilet. There was no fronts on the chest of drawers all broken - an absolute disgrace. Luckily we got moved to the other side of the hotel which had been newly refurbished and to us we thought we had been moved to their sister hotel which was much better but you still hear the noise from the Apartments opposite which must have 18-30 groups staying in them as all you hear is music all night long through to the early hours."

"I have stayed all over Greece and know what to expect from a self catering apartment, but this one was the pits, everything stated on their website is a lie! Not ideal for couples or familys (kept awake by 18 - 30's from midnight to 6am) there was no TV, telephone or fully equipped kitchen, well 2 rings and a travel kettle that took 10 mins to boil! Only 3 of the 6 lights worked, the beds were damp, towels were changed on the 6th day.
Would not advise this place unless you are young and only going to sleep in room (but make sure you are too drunk to care)The rooms were cleaned when the maids could be bothered, otherwise they just emptyed the toilet paper bin every day thank god!"

Overall good stay
"We stayed at the Plaza II for the 2nd year running. 21 of us this year on Football tour.
The Apartments are basic, but for a lads holiday it's all you really need. The Apartment was clean and the maid's pop around every other day.
Unfortunately on the 1st day one of our beds had a wet patch. They were really rushed to get the rooms cleaned in time for our arrival. Which ended up in us waiting for an hour for our rooms to be ready.
Our fridge had a broken door, but if you were careful opening and closing it, you were ok. However the Fridge top half had what appeared to be a Prawn in it which was stuck as the top half of the fridge was completely frozen!! Again this didn't bother us.
Pool area is nice and clean and is looked after daily.
Restaurant service was ok. We had all of us eating one night and service was slow and a few things were missed. I don't think they are really geared for this many people. However food is nice.
The hotel can be loud in the small hours of the morning, so i wouldn't recommend this for family's with small children.
If we go back, we'll defiantly be going back to the Plaza II."

Waited a week for the bus back to the airport.
"Just home from Zakynthos and never again.
Stayed in Plaza II Apartments. Dingy, and bleak. Bedding was damp, sheets were old, patched, and grey. Towels were old and grey. No shower curtain in bathroom, no working fridge for three days, cooking facilities were a large ring and a small ring on a mobile based cooker, one frying pan, one stew pot, various knives and forks, no cooking utensils at all.
When we complained to the rep he told us that the young people who come later in the season dont expect very much. Just as well they wont get very much.
Few entertainment facilites were open, even though the start of the season was 1 May, most were being built/refurbished at the time.
We felt that the pictures of the rooms in the brochure were misrepresentation, as we and others did not have the rooms picutred.
The beach was dirty, and the lane to the beach from the hotel was a dirt track with broken cement and rubble to be negotiated on arrival at the beach.
The strip clubs and male dance clubs were in the main street.
Definately not the place for families, no facilities at the apartments for children anyway.

Never stay here!
"Went to Laganas for the first time last year with a friend. We wanted a girly holiday, with sunbathing, and lots of relaxing. We stayed at Plaza I. We arrived there mid afternoon, having travelled from home since approx 3AM that morning. We were tired when we arrived, but planned to dump our bags and head straight to the beach. When we got to the property it looked ok from the outside. When we got to out room, the cleaner was still cleaning it, but we caught a glimps of the room, and it looked dark and falling apart.
While we waited for our room to be cleaned we were invited for a free drink at the bar on the Plaza II complex. We couldn't believe how horrible our room looked. Yes we didn't plan on being in it much but we were pretty gutted by what we had briefly seen.
Half an hour later we were showed to our room. The cleaner had obviously been in there as the floor was wet, however there was nno evidence that the room had been 'cleaned'. We couldn't smell any cleaning products, the floor underneath the beds hadn't been touched, the mirror and the shelf in the bath room were dirty, and there was what looked like food in the bathroom plug hole. Also, considering it wa self catering, the kitchen was tiny and was located behind the door. when the door was open, the kitchen was completely concealed. After the unclenliness wof the room, there was no way we were cooking there.
We used the fridge but it leaked on the floor.
the furniture was falling apart, with drawers missing.
We were so unhappy we spent the next 2 hours trying to get hold of a rep to complan and ask to be moved. When we finally got hold of our rep she said our room was typical of greece (which i know it isn't having visited greece many times before), and that she agreed it wasn't clean and she would speak to the hotel manager. she said if we wanted to move we would have to payt to upgrade as the room was fine, and that we could end up in any part of the island!
We went to the beach and tried to make th most of the rest of the day, although by now it was about 5.30.
when we got back to the room, it hadn't been touched. we went to sleep that night, when i discovered my sheet was dirty and splattered with what i don't want to desribe, and i slpet under my beach towel.
feeling really angry we spoke again to the rep the next day and she told the hotel manager that the room had not been cleaned again. he came to see the room, and simply pushed the food in the sink down the plug hole, and replaced our sheets. we then ha dno choice but to stay there for the rest of the holiday.
we discovered that when we showered, the water would sting our eyes and had a really strong chemical smell which is not what you need having been on the beach all day.
speaking to other people staying there, they were just as unhappy. many people were sharing these tiny rooms with 3 people. also we were told of worms in the tiolet brushes, another example of the lack of cleaning products being used.
guests at plaza II were happier, however did comment again on how unclean their apartments were.
Laganas itself is a great place to go. there is something for everyone. the beach is gorgeous, with shallow, warm waters, with turtles which are amazing to see.
food is delicious, and i would stronly recommend Mr Dallas opposite big boys down a little track, and the Greek Islands on the beach as every night they do plate smashing, singing, dancing and circles of fire!
also on the beach, you have to pay a few euros for a bed, but then you are waited on all day b y the people in the restaurants where the food is cheap and delicious. would recommend a fruit salad from one of the bars.
From what i have heard, most of the accomodation in laganas is pretty simialtr to what we experienced.
did see a room at the poseidon and that was gorgeous.
GO TO LAGANAS but DON'T STAY AT PLAZA I/II"

good family run hotel
"Just arrived back after staying in this hotel for 2wks . This is a family run hotel run by George and his wife .Yes the rooms are basic but are spotless maid service every day .We had clean bedding / towels every other day . When we arrived we were greeted by george and were offered a free drink . Our bags were taken to our rooms while we had our drink . Barbacue/greek night every saturday night which george and his family all joined in with the fun. These apartments are close to the beach and the main strip but far away not to be disturbed with the noise of the clubs . Our holiday was made more enjoyable with the friendlyness of george and his family . Would definatley stay at this hotel again ."

We've had better!
"This accommodation was listed as 3* superior when it just about scrapes 2* in my opinion.
The fact that there are no facilities to cater for oneself makes the description a contradiction in terms.
For a family of four - two adults two children (13/10yrs) there was one old electric heating ring which had one setting - very hot. One frying pan (circa 1973) and a saucepan. Insufficient cutlery, plates, dishes, cups or glasses. No sign of other desirable or even essential items such as microwave, colander, tin opener, corkscrew etc.
The rooms are small, and on arrival reasonably clean and tidy. After an hour of cleaning it properly with cleaning products we had to buy ourselves it became habitable.
Whilst there the temperatures were exceptionally hot (44 degrees on 3 days) As a result we paid for access to the air conditioning system (or as we described it central heating) a total waste of money as it didn't work.
The regular power cuts and loss of running water were also undesireable, but may have not have been limited to this accommodation - we were not kept informed.
The resort of Laganas is not suitable for families, it is noisy, dirty, and the speeding unrestricted traffic a hazard. Plenty of restaurants, although you may as well stick to the first one you find - all the menus are virtually identical, the price and standard of food very similar - on the whole not too bad - and restaurant staff all very friendly.
Laganas beach again is dirty, crowded and noisy with packs of wild dogs roaming round. A 15 minute walk towards Kalamaki is where you find the better beaches.
On a positive note the staff at Plaza ii are friendly, courteous and helpful. The supermarket which is run by the same people is adequately equipped and reasonably priced.
This was our first experience of self catering holidays. We've learned from our mistake and it will be half board from now on."

Great Location, Friendly Staff, but not quite as advertised
"Visited this hotel end of May early June 2012.
Great location. 2 minute walk to the beach and a 4 minute walk to the main strip.
Friendly family run hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Very clean. Maid service daily. New bedding and towels every couple of days.
Only ate from menu once and it was quite nice.
We went self catering and the 'fully equipped' kitchen consisted of a kettle and a rusty 2 ring stove. Plus a fridge. Been to Zante 8 times and have always had a toaster and/or a small oven/grill. Not good enough for people who are self catering but fine if staying half board.
Paid for a 1 bedroom appartment and was put in a studio.
No telephone or TV in room as advertised.
No jacuzzi, been removed. Only saw one pool??? No idea where the 2nd one was.
Only sat by the pool for one day as several groups of lads didn't make for a nice environment. Lot's of swearing, shouting and running around at all times of the day and night. We spent our days on the beach instead.
Photo's are out of date and do not represent how the hotel appears in 2012.
Would not recommend this hotel if going as a couple or have a young family. Fine for 18-30's.
Very cheap and very basic. "
