"Me and my husband stayed in these apartments we requested a pool view wich we got. the room itself was basic we had three beds in our room no arm chairs the bathroom could have done with a revamp rubbish shower with curtain kitchen was only big enough to make breakfast. so nothing like the photo they show you. the food served there was very good and all the staff were lovely. even the owners."

"Me and my friends (20's) are just back from this hotel and couldn't have had a better time! The girls on reception and people in the bar couldn't be nicer and alway have time to stop and chat! We were lucky enough to meet a group of people our own age in the hotel however their is a wide age range! Rooms are spotless and had lots of room for three girls sharing ( you can imagine all the clothes etc.) The food was fab and drinks were good value. Overall we had a great time and are talking about going back next year! "

Just what the doctor ordered
"27th May 2011, Mr & Mrs D Pickering
We have just returned from our 7 day holiday in Greece having stayed at the Windmill Studio Apartments at Argassi. This is a fantastic modern hotel complex with superb rooms which are neat, clean and comfortable. This is a family owned and run set up whoâs staff are both very friendly and helpful. Our studio apartment was on the second floor which was accessed via a glass sided lift. The views from the room balcony were outstanding. Apart from the obvious comfortable twin single beds there was plenty of wardrobe storage a dressing table and a small table with two comfortable easy chairs with a further set of chairs and table outside on the good sized balcony area. There was also an excellent shower in the bathroom with ample supply of hot water.
The rooms were spotless and while we were in a self catering apartment the facilities in the small kitchen area with wash basin and units included a double ring electric hob, an electric kettle, electric sandwich maker and a fridge together with sufficient pans, plates, bowls cups and glasses and cutlery to make modest breakfasts, sandwiches and light meals.
The hotel has a superb outdoor pool situated just outside of their excellent reasonably priced restaurant.
They host a âGreekâ night every Monday cost 12 Euro, included is a more than adequate evening meal with half a litre of wine, brilliant entertainment from a trio of dancers performing in traditional Greek costumes dances included âZorbasâ dance and the risk defying spectacular of the âFire Danceâ â just brilliant! The hotel guests were quickly drawn into the dancing atmosphere making a conga around the pool and great entertainment for all.
Thanks particularly to Maria on reception who brought a connecting data cable from home for our I-pod so we could charge it up and speak to our family using the hotel`s free wi-fi and were even able to speak and see our son in San Francisco from the hotel.
We went on a Pelargos Tours coach trip round the island for 17 euros and it was excellent and great value for money. The coach was luxurious and had air conditioning and the driver was excellent taking a leisurely pace throughout, stopping every half hour or so to see places of interest. The guide spoke in English and was also excellent. The view over Smugglers Cove was stunning with the water a stunning shade of blue and turquoise, the stop at Exa Hora village to see the ancient olive tree was also lovely and the stop at Agios Nicholas was simply beautiful. We took the optional trip by boat to the blue caves and were most impressed.
Thos Cook were also excellent and the new airport is all now completely operational and you don`t have to wait outside in the heat any more when departing. We were only delayed by one hour on the return flight due to the backlog with the ash cloud but perfectly on time on the outward journey. You are through the airport very fast and bags came off the planes very quickly.
We would recommend this holiday to everyone as excellent and also excellent value for money. The prices on Zakynthos were broadly comparable to those in the UK.
My wife and I have just come back from a very nice weekâs relaxing break and cannot but utterly recommend this very friendly and superb hotel.

our stay !
"My wife and I returned home on Thursday 19th May. W stayed at the Windmill Studios from 5th to 19th May 2011 and we had one of our best ever holidays. The transfer from the airport was about 15 mins and when we arrived, Jenny (the boss) was there with a pickup to take our luggage up the slight incline to reception. Sue on reception was very nice and very helpful.
We had 2 days and then with my health record I ended up in Zante hospital for 2 days ! Sue was great with my wife Pauline and she kept making sure that Pauline was ok and the Thomas Cook rep, Elliot stayed late at the hotel to see Pauline and ask about me. Elliot was the best rep we have ever had. The Windmill is certainly 5star - we have never stayed in Greece where the hotel was so clean - marble floors throughout which you could eat your food off ! and as for the room, well, spotlessly clean, basic facilities for self catering but adequate. TV, etc; in the room and a massive balcony / terrace. The pool was the cleanest I've ever seen as were the bathing areas. Helena and Julian in the pool bar area were great, they work so hard to serve and keep everywhere so clean. We weren't too impressed with The Green Frog but it only opened a few days ago - we liked Zorbas, the food was A1 and Legends for breakfast where you can buy a sausage, an egg etc; and build your own brekfast for 45 cents per item which I enjoyed as I only got what I wanted. The Prince of Asia was also good chinese or indian. All in all one of our best ever holidays in Greece and we are taking our sons, daughter in law and grandaughter ther in september - 10 out of 10 for the Windmill Studios from us and we are fussy so don't miss out, you will be impressed by the place and the staff, also the Greek night is ace !"

Windmill great Argassi mmmm
"The Windmill is as everyone says very clean and tidy, the staff especially Sue on reception make u feel welcome. My only gripe is marble floors means u can hear every late night reveller returning back from there night out.Go for the Greek night on the Mondays its cracking.Argassi im afraid was a let down my garden is bigger than the beach, we went in Sept so it was getting quieter, ur constantly pestered day and night by sellers of cds dvds etc.And the weekends stops for 2 hours whilst everybar shows X-Factor on Saturday and Sunday night. The people are very friendly we met some good friends but we wont be going again.Go to Legends for ur brekkie as for eating out its a lottery there all the same,we went to the Green frog and really enjoyed the meal but the next meal there was awful so its hit n miss."

Cannot fault these studios
"The night flight was a bit of a hassle, but that was soon forgotten when we arrived at the Windmill Studios in Agassi. The people of the island of Zante are the most friendly and welcoming I have ever had the pleasure to meet. There was four couples who arrived at the studios off our flight and we were met by the night porter in a pick up who loaded our cases onto the back of the pick up and took them to the reception for us. There is a slight incline up to reception, but it's nothing to worry about. When we went to our room, we were amazed at how clean the room was, considering we went in Sptember, towards the end of the season. All the staff at the studios are polite and friendly, this includes the cleaners who clean the rooms daily.
Argassi itself is a lovely place, although if your looking for wide sandy beaches, you won't find them here, although the beaches that are here are clean and the water is clear. There are plenty places to eat and drink in the town and prices are very reasonable. Two places stick out a mile though, the Athina restaurant, just off the high street towards the beach, where the food and service is second to none, with the most helpful staff I have met, and the snack bar 24/7 were you can get anything from a cup of tea to a light meal 24 hours a day. But it does not matter where you eat, you greeted with a handshake, and the same when you leave.
The highlights of our holiday were the Greek night at the Windmill Studios, which costs 12 euros and includes a meal and wine and worth every cent and takes place every Monday night. The island tour by bus or boat is also good value for money. If you want to go out and about, I can highly recommend that you go and see Peter, he has the first tour shop that you come to as you walk into Argassi, he really is a wonderful man.
All in all, my wfe and I had a wonderful time in Argassi with superb accomodation, good food, lovely locals and we will definitly go back.

- close to the beach
- friendly service
- average menu, but tasty food
- dusty room
- poorly soundproofed
- late breakfast
- it's a typical tourist trap where it's difficult to find the pleasure of good traditional Greek food. Avoid the dry bread and the free offers. Please pass by Carissimo; cheap wine and a dirty kitchen.
- it's better to rent a boat from Alykes, if you wanna visit the Blue- and Kericaves, than jump on Argassi-Petter's cruise around the island with the topcruiser.

windmill apartments,family resort
"Just come back from the windmill apartments in argassi with my two daughters. Apartments are clean but the rooms are supposed to be self catering but they are more like room only as you only have a kettle two hob rings and very very basic utensils so we had to eat out for breakfast lunch and dinner. Food is very good at the green frog restaurant which is situated at the end of the road. DEFINATELY DO NOT take a thomas cook cashpassport as wherever we went for meals apart from the windmill apart. they would NOT take this as payment anywhere in aArgassi,so i had to keep going to the hole in the wall and drawing money off of it and still carrying money around which was defeating the object.Pool was very very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Trip to see the turtles at laganas is very good and a day at Vasilikos(st Nicholas Beach) is great. Kids will love the waterpark trip well worth a visit.Windmill apartments are situated at the quiet end of Argassi. Would go back there if i had plenty of money to eat out for every meal."

"4 of us stayed at the Windmill studio appartments for a week (1st-8th July). Between the 4 of us we had 2 appartments and we were all so impressed with how clean it was! :) the air con (optional) in the room made it more comfortable. The pool was lovely and also clean aswel as the poolside bar, which had very friendly and helpful staff. The ladies at reception were also lovely and friendly. The area of Argassi was amazing, really pretty and we were amazed at how friendly everyone there was! The green frog is a great place for a night out (a bar) for drinks, dancing and maybe a bit of karaoke! :) the cocktails were very nice to! :D (We are all 18/19 years old and 2 couples. We went on a one day cruise with 'Peter' who is responsable for the boat trips and cruises in Argassi. The 1 day cruise
is highly recommended by the 4 of us, as the Island of Zante is really pretty, and we got to jump off the boat and go for a swim in the lush, clear, blue sea! :) We also went to the St.Nicholas beach (by bus- which was free) and took part in the watersports which was incredible! :D the restaurants are all lovely and we had very nice food each night- the chinese and indian in-one was delicious, so much so - we went back there again on our last night! :) We highly recommend The Windmill Studio Appartments in Argassi for a holiday destination and we will definitely be going back there again! :)"
