Paradise Apartments & Studios
30 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
amazing week book now
"We like most people were worried having read reviews before we went however, 16 of us stayed there from the 10-18th July 2011 it was the first holiday away together for our group of friends but the staff babas sandra elvis and the english bar staff could not of made us more welcome and been more helpful. Adam the thomas cook rep here for 2011 was likewise very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were basic but very clean and for greek travel accommodation were to a very high standard rooms cleaned 6/8 days we were there, the same can be said for the hotel facilities in general pool area was very clean, likewise the pool bar which serves great food for pool bar but also serves an array of cocktails for good prices, the bar staff are no strangers to free drink either. Every night we ate at the paradise restaurant which is right next to the apartments entrance the food was amazing and the staff likewise nikos dennis jim all amazing and reasonably priced as-well. it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of the resort which is fine at night time but during the height of the day some of the group decided on taxis which were 5 euros, the resort of laganas has loads of great clubs pub eateries. all in all out time at paradise and laganas was great and would recommend these apartments to anyone wishing to go to lagnaas one of the best on the island and definatley the best staff on the island.
We will be back next year

"These apartments certainly deserve the name Paradise, absolutly perfect! We stayed in the amazing 2 bed apartment with balcony overlooking the sea and Kefelonia. Some of the reviews on these apartments can be offputting but people are getting confused and putting reviews on the Paradise apartments in Laganas on this site which sound awful. The pool overlooks the sea which is great gentlty shelving and as clear as crystle and very warm, perfect for all ages.We liked the food at the Apollo and the tavern at the back of the Astoria but the meals at the pool bar are good value too,The quiz night is great fun.We took a small toaster with us which was very well used as in most greek apartments the kitchen equipment is basic but we had a lovely big fridge freezer. Please be aware of the girls on the beach giving massages you say no to them but they start just what looks like a trial then charge you 30euros!Have stayed in lots of places but this was definately the best the views are fantastic would go back tomorrow. A great holiday
"We both realy enjoyed our holiday in the Paradise Appartments. Kathy and Sandra were great fun to be with during the day. Bob and John made us most welcome in the evening. (Pull Sandra's finger and see what happens)
The room was kept spotlessly clean and the linen was changed three times in the 11 days that we stayed there.
Nice pool! There was no entertainment or barbeque in the evening but this was due to our visit being at the start of season. In general the resort was very quiet. We were told that it would be much livelier in the next couple of weeks.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Paradise is the place to be!
"I travelled with my boyfriend to here on the 15th august for 2 weeks. When i first read the reviews about these apartments i did have my doubts, and also when the coach dropped us off i was getting even more nervous. we arrived at 4 in the morning so didnt see much until we got up. when we got into our room it was very basic but very clean and comfortable. we chose self catering but we ate out all the time.
Sandra and Cathy, the bar staff, and also dennis and baaby (who loved to try and get you drunk) were absolutely amazing and always their for you. always up for a laugh and were really polite, friendly and helpful. the pool area was clean and tidy but i seemed to attract wasps so that was the only moan i had. there is plenty to do if you get too hot. there is always football on in the bar, there is a pool table, internet access and a ps3. the bar food was amazing as were their blue slush with malibu, you have to try them!!! it was a good 15 minute walk to reach the top of the strip but during the day it was tiring but not so bad at night! i was really impressed with these apartments and I WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR!! :D i miss you already everyone at paradise!!!"

Relaxing week at the Paradise Apartments
"Just returned from a week at the Paradise Apartments staying in the two bed overlooking the bay. The apartment was clean maybe in need of updating but the two bedrooms each had an onsuite and led onto a large balcony overlooking the bay,the kitchen was basic but having been to Greek self catering before this was expected. The other studios looked as if they had been refurbised. Bar food & drinks reasonably priced.
Yes the towels and linen were not changed all week but again the norm in Greece.
Staff were pleasant and the quiz night was good food and fun. Having been to the resort before we tried the Apollo this time which we thought was the best food.
The holiday was so relaxing we have booked for 2011 already."

"we have recently returned from a week in zante, and had such a fantastic holiday, we cannot wait to go back. whilst there we stopped at paradise apartments, they are ideally situated right next to the sea, some rooms have sea views but not all. the rooms were clean but basic and we did only get 1 set of towels and 1 bog roll for the week...! the staff at the pool bar were great and we would often get free drinks.
we took a boat trip to the shipwreck and blue caves, a tip is do not book with the rep book through the locals, there trips are far better and you dont have to get up as early.they take you on littler boat, you stop 1st at the shipwreck, then go on the see the blue caves and there a chance for swimming, because we were on a smaller boat we actually went into the caves. we left at 12 and was back for about 3.30 which was just long enough.
from the apartment its a short walk into the town(more long road) where you'll find plenty of tavernas to eat, we didnt have a bad meal all holiday and some places even give free wine. there are also a few bars we recommend spikeys & inigma, the owners are locals who are extremly friendly and definatly like to give out the free shots....!
overall we have a fantastic holiday, it was exactly what we were looking for.me and my partner are both in our 20's and wanted a little get away together were we could relax, eat out at nice restuarants and have a few drinks after. we got just that.we did find that we were one of the younger couples there but we meet some lovely people, including locals and other holiday makers. I would recommend thiss holiday to anybody!! :)

Yamas 2 paradise
"We have just come back from a 1 week holiday at the Paradise Apartments in Laganas, Zante and had a great time. Sandra & Kathy who work in the Hotel bar during the day and Bob who works during the evening/night were the friendliest people we've ever met(even if Bob did throw straws at me when I ordered a drink, ha-ha, TAA BOB). The hotel is located at the end of the main strip where all the nightlife is and is roughly about 500m to the nearest supermarket, 800m to the nearest bar and it is about 1 km to the beach, wish the beach was closer but the hotel is in a great location because we weren't too close to the noise of the clubs/bars/pubs. The hotel its self is a lovely looking hotel and is ideal for those who want a self catering holiday, rooms are of a good standard, comfortable beds, good storage, oven rings, microwave & fridge in the kitchenette, the bathroom was also of a good quality. There is a gorgeous pool, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols available through out the day. For me the pool bar is the best feature, inside there is a pool table, table soccer, playstation 2, computer with internet, television with all english satellite channels (ideal for the world cup coming up) & it also has a cracking view of the pool. The bar serves food, which is of a great standard, and the bar also has plenty of alcoholic drinks from back home and if you go to the bar when Bob is working im sure it wont be long before he offers you a free shot of your choice(stay clear of half absinthe & half green aftershock!!!ha) The thing that makes this hotel stand out from the others is the staff, if I ever go back to Laganas, I could easily pick a hotel thats closer to the beach but it wouldn't be the same without Sandra, Kathy & Bob thats why I recommend The Paradise Apartments Laganas Zante x TAA"

Go To Zante Paradise Apartments......AMAZING!!
"This was our first girls holiday There was 5 of us and we went on 19july to the 26th of july 2009! We stayed in Paradise Apartments And It Was Amazing, the bar staff where sooooo kind and funny. We Got On Really well with the bar staff Morris And Kathy, Kathy would always give us a kiss and hug hello and goodbye she was lovely! :) Sandra the manager of Paradise apartments was the niciest woman ever, she treated us like her own and we looked at her like she was our mum she told us to stay away from the reps and be carful about the gypsies she was sooo lovely couldnt of asked for a nicer hotel manager! :)
The Rooms Are Clean, Tidy And very very nice! Wouldnt of changed anything about it,
The pool is lovely, very clean and the space for sunbathing is very good.
The food is sooo yummy and quite cheap so we was happy with that.
All i can say about Paradise Apartments is that its the niciest hotel and lovely people and you wouldnt feel uncomftable atall throughout your holiday and if you had any trouble the staff would help you sooo much. It was the best holiday and wouldnt of changed anything! I would tell everyone to go there, And would defently gooo back....100% LOVED IT! :D BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!!"

"Just returned from 2 weeks in the Paradise and had a lovely fortnight with my husband, our son and his fiance. We had a lovely apartment, both bedrooms en suite, and a separate kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the bay - absolutely beautiful!!! We had a few lunches and breakfasts in the pool bar and enjoyed every meal. We ate out in the evenings at various restaurants - Best were Astoria, Maestro and another overlooking beach, but can't recall name (handsome boy outside, offering free wine as he shows you the menu). We enjoyed quiz nights in the Astoria, Mon & Fri, Thursday in the Iris Bar and won a round of golf on their Crazy Golf, which was fun. Tuesday quiz night and BBQ at the Paradise was good fun, and the food was lovely and plenty of it. The road train tour (Trainaki) is good fun (we did it last year, when we stayed in the next village, Alykanas. The only downside at the paradise for me was the towels were changed weekly, so our travelwash came in handy and there was a line on the balcony. No rush for sunbeds: we came down quite late some mornings and there were always plenty available, even though the pool is used by locals and people in nearby accommodation. The bar staff, etc., very friendly and Sabrina, who worked in the bar and waitressing, was lovely. The local bar around the corner (opposite the Apollo Restaurant, which we didn't go in, as we like a walk in the evening)was good, and we usually ended the evening there (and sometimes began it!) - he likes giving free shots of various varieties!! A lovely holiday and I would definitely return, as long as I could have the same apartment overlooking the bay, with Kefalonia visible in the distance...so beautiful!!!"

"Just got back from a week in Alykes. Had a lovely holiday overall but was dissopointed with the accomodation. On arrival we were greeted by the manager of Paradise, who didn't introduce himself or make us feel welcome. Throughout our stay the staff continued to be unhelpful and unfreindly with every request seeming like a hastle. We also found on arrival that the airconditioning and the use of a safe would come at an extra price of 45 euros for the week. The room was basic but clean. We were only given one set of towels all week and the room lacked essestials such as washing up liquid, toilet roll and tea towels.
We found the area of Alykes to be really nice with beautiful beaches and good tavernas; everything you need for a relaxing holiday as the area is quite quiet. We hired pushbikes for the week at a good price, which allowed us to explore the island visiting Zakynthos and Laganas. The roads are quite flat and the views along the coastal route were stunning-a must see!
We strongly advise against the all day cruise around the island as what was promised by the salesmen was not delivered. 90% of the cruise was rock face so the views we expected were disapointing. The trip lasted 9 hours and in that time we spent only 1 hour on the shipwreck beach and just a further two stops for swimming which lasted about 1 hour. We felt that this was a wasted day of our holiday and found the whole day frustrating to say the least! We had been promised to see the blue caves but not told that this would come at an extra price, food and drink on the boat was also ridiculously expensive and a waste of money.
Paradise studios were in a good location just out of Alykes and we enjoyed a warm welcome and freindly service at the local cocktail bar, Virago's! Overall we had an a excellent holiday ad hope to return in the future, but will certainly avoid all boat trips and choose different accomodation!!"
