Fantastic, would definately return!
"Just got back from a great week staying at the The Big Village. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Maids cleaned everyday and changed linen and towels half way through the week. All the staff were friendly especially Jerry & his Mum. Pool bar serves great value snacks.
Great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and a choice of restaurants.
Would certainly return."

Would definatly stay at the Big Village again!
"We stayed in the Big Village August 2007 and had a wonderful time! The Big Village itself is in a great location, the centre of Scala is only a short walk away with many resturants to choose from. The beach is beautiful and vast, backed by pine trees and is around a 5 min walk away.
The Big Village was a great place to stay, our room was very big offering lots of storage space and had excellant air conditioning. Everything about the Big Village is clean, including the pool and bar area. The staff were very friendly - especially Jeremy!!Breakfast was included during our stay which was good with a wide variety of foods to choose from - fruit, cereals, pastries, toast, coffee, tea, juices etc.
If we return to kephalonia we will definatly choose to stay in the modern, purpose built Big Village!!"

Big Village, Skala
"Holiday to cephalonia was really good. Very nice island. We stayed at the newly opened Big Village in Skala. The resort was very nice and the accommodation was very good, but the bed and pillows could of been better. The breakfast was very basic and was put out at 7am in the morning and was served until 10am. If you are later to have your breakfast like us, you can expect your toast to be cold. I would highly recommend Scandanavia restaurant in the main street for your breakfast and indeed any other meal, great service and nothing is to much trouble. Really enjoyed this holiday and would definately visit cephalonia again."

Lee & Cindy Got Engaged!!
"Talk about above average!! Have you ever been to Skala.....it is lovely. The Big Village is a new hotel 100m from town, but it is sooooooooooooo quiet. The Air Con was wonderful in the rooms as outside it was 35 degrees. the Pool is refreshing and 200m from the beautiful Skala Beach. You must visit Skala, and you must stay at the Big Village. I booked through Cosmos.
I wouldnt go anywhere else!!
Oh and my boyfriend Lee proposed to me on as horse an carriage on the beach.....arh!!"

"Stayed at the Big village hotel in Skala for 2 weeks. We had a lovely big room (try and request room numbers 201 - 204) the room had a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, also a/c and a safe which you pay for locally if you use them.
Breakfast was continental style with plenty of choice, we got abit bored with it and went out several times for breakfast. Lovely swimming pool and bar area which serves snacks reasonably priced and good. Only problem is that the pool is used by anyone who wants to and there are alot of properties in Skala that don't have a pool. The big village hotel is very small only 18 rooms which we preferred.
Skala is a big resort for Kefalonia there are several bars, restaurants and 1 nightclub. Skala is not the place for anyone wanting a busy nightlife or for groups of young people. Kefalonia isn't the place for that type of person. I pity anyone staying in Svoronnata or Katelios unless ofcourse you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere with not alot to do.
I am a travel agent and would definately recommend the Big Village hotel in Skala to my clients and to anyone who may read this review."
