Best Holiday Ever!!!
"This was my second trip to Greece and first for my husband and we will definately be taking the children this year! The apartments were lovely, very clean and perfectly adequate for what we needed. Tellis, Emma and Dan where all brilliant, funny and friendly! them along with the other guests and a brilliant atmosphere all the time made this a brilliant and unforgetable holiday! The food was great and entertainment good we'd defiantely recommend the greek night. The dancers made us all dance with them and made it a really enjoyable evening. we also joined in with the bingo and much to my delight Karaoke evening! The pool is a good size with a small section for children, we spent most of our time in the main pool playing volleyball with almost every other guest there including the bar staff! We have made some brilliant friends and are all going to try and meet up there again this summer! Sidari town is just a short walk away as is the beach. We recommend you going to Canal D'Amour which is just along the beach, a perfect place for photo's, there's is also a point to jump into the sea, much to my husbands delight! The shopping was good we sampled a few restaurants but spent most of our time at the hotel we didn't sample the night life but heard the foam parties were good fun! It was a very relaxed lovely holiday and we feel very confident our children will love it as much as we did. Great stuff!"

A place to chill out and make new friends
"We went in early October just to get a bit of sunshine before winter set in and had a wonderfull week with a couple of activities but mostly just relaxing by the pool. Tellis and Emma were really good hosts, and the local food they served was excellent and very good value so we ate there every night but one. Have already decided to book there for next year!"

"Had a lovely time at the Yiannis village. Staff lovely and friendly and appartment was lovely. Our room was just beside the pool and was huge. Needed the a/c because of the noise from bar at night and the mosquitos! Bit expensive at 10 euro a night. The road is quite dangerous so with 4 young children we only walked as far as Bavios down the road which was a lovely greek taverna. We had been to Corfu before and decided to simply relax by the pool every day rather than sight see.....children seemed to prefer that and the cost of the excursions was rather expensive. Having read previous reviews was a bit worried but I can only think other people had been somewhere else to us!"

Good resort, smelly drains, lovely swimming pool and staff
"Just got back from a week with my hubby, we were given an upstairs room number 112 in the old block overlooking the swimming pool, very big, light, airy, clean. Smelly drain whenever you ran any water but if you cover it with a towel it minimises the stink, room cleaned every day but sheets and towels changed only once. Read lots of reviews before going and in the main everyone was right but in respect of Tellis the owner he was fine with us even though we went out most days and every evening and did not spend a lot of money in his hotel. There is now a safety deposit box which is in a main safe in the bar which they have to open for you and then you have your own key for your box, there was no problems with this as the staff open it for you whenever you want. Didnt have to leave the room on departure day until 12 mid day and Tellis lets you use his showers in the hotel which are lovely, clean and you can lock the doors. The main bar is beautiful, he has spent a lot of money and the swimming pool is very large and clean, plenty of free sunbeds and the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food in resort is excellent and reasonable. Sidari itself is great although the roads are a nightmare as there are no pavements and you take your life in your hands negotiating. Corfu itself is very hot and hilly and the mozzes everywhere give you loads of nasty bites, take some piriton with you as you cant buy it in the supermarkets here. We did enjoy our stay but wont be returning to Corfu as we found it too hot, did not like the smells of sewage everywhere you go and the return trip there was a delay of 14 hours and Cosmos did not manage very well organising everyone into coaches and the hotel we were eventually sent to was not expecting us and we had to wait an hour for the rep to turn up. All in all the holiday was good but would never fly with Monach Airlines and would not go with Cosmos again."

BRILLIANT SUMMER VACATION
"Returned back from Yannis Village at the end of July 09, we werent looking forward to the holiday as the reviews were not very posotive. When we arrived a brand new extention had been built and fully furnished; it looked a five star hotel. At first we thought we had been dropped off at the incorrect hotel but we were soon to be corrected. The all new suite had not been open long and was beautiful. Tellis the owner greated us and we were shown to our assigned apartments. The apartments are very basic but are kept clean by the hard working cleaners-some rooms were fairly old fashioned and if updated would be alot better. There are other new appartments that are more up to date that are lovely. By the poolside the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly towards all children. My children were aged 10 & 14 and they enjoyed the holiday thoroughly. The walk to Sidari centre was around 15 minutes which we didnt mind as the walk was nice. Would recomend going on THEOS'S boat trip a great and very funny trip for everyone! the food provided is basic but tasty, and there is unlimited amounts of wine for free. Also recommend resturaunts named : SALT & PEPPER: THE ARC: THREE LITTLE PIGS. Martin our Monarch rep one of the best reps weve ever had and we have been travelling to lots of varied places. .Always makes sure your ok and satisfied: if any problems occor he will sort them for you! By the pool everyday and is a great entertainer on a night with his karaoke and quiz. Would certainly go back again. 4/5 * dont forget a holiday is what you make of it aswell."

Satisfaction in Sidari
"Stayed at Yiannis Village in October 2008, we arrived late evening to be told by Tellis that he was not expecting us. Eventually he showed us to our apartment which was tiny and dark. The bathroom was smelly and old looking. The electricity was on and off all week and the kitchen was very basic. The pool area was nice and clean though. There are two supermarkets at the top of the road and a small shop on site. We stayed at the end of the season so it was very quiet. The apartments are quite far out from the main centre which is full of shops, bars and restaurants. The Calypso Cocktail Bar and Memories were both very good. Sidari is the best resort in the north for nightlife. We hired a car so we could see the island but the roads are not for the fainthearted. Paleokastritsa was beautiful but the boat trip was expensive and rubbish. The Golden Fox in Lakones (Bella Vista) had the best views I have ever seen but the food and drinks were pricey. Benitses was like a ghost town. Corfu Town was great value lots of narrow streets full of shops plus the old and new fortress. Corfu has stunning scenery and beautiful little villages so it is worth getting away from the resorts and exploring."

Great Family Holiday
"Spent 2 weeks at Yiannis Village with my wife and 3 children aged 2, 7 and 9. We had a great time.
The complex was great for families, nice pool, apartment close by and felt very safe. Our apartment was huge (3 bedrooms) and was very clean. Tellis and Costas are great, very friendly and helpful. No safety deposit boxes but Stalis Apartments across the road let you have one for free.
Yiannis Village is a little way out of town, which is the only draw back. We always got a taxi in. Its only about 5 mins and 5 Euro so not too bad. Sidari is a little lively for young kids, but good fun all the same.
Would recomment Bavias...amazing food and so friendly. In Sidari go to Olympic, Sea Breeze and The 3 Little Pigs. If you like Chinese go to China Town (just opposite The 3 Little Pigs).
I would also recommend going to Sunset Beach..truely breath taking. We also did a coach trip to Aqua Land, a must for the kids, its really great fun. Dont be fooled by Hydroplis, its much smaller and more of an 18-30 venue because they offer all inclusive days out.
If you like traditional Greece, take a trip to Kasiopi. Its only 5 Euro and its a beautiful harbour village.
My only word of warning...mosquito's...beware! Never been bitten as much as we did here. Keep your windows shut, light a candle on your balcony and get a plug in."
