"3 University girls stayed at Olga in early June 2007, and got a lot more than we expected!!
Although the flight times were rubbish (arrived @ olga at 6am) we were promptly shown to our room, and allowed to sleep and sort out all check in and passporty things in the morning!!
The room was brilliant! we were expecting a small 2 bed apartment with an extra 3rd bed shoved in, but it was HUGE!!! lots of room for all our girly mess and clothes! Kitchen had everything you needed, hob and oven, sink and cupboards!! Although we only really used the fridge; we ate out every night.
The pool was nice, lots of sun loungers, and the pool was big enough for our splashes and lilo(s)!! It was very pretty with the bridge over it!
Pool bar was great too, the breakfasts were just what you needed after a night out, and it had everything e;lse you needed too!
Sidari was a great resort, it had everyhting you need, without being tacky! Many restaurants, from typical greek, to english, to chinese and back to mexican!! Some italian thrown in too!! Also a fab keeeeeeeebab place (£1.20!!!). As for night life, we headed for BED bar, (quizes and dancing on the bar with sparklers galore!!) and also ice club, for more boogying!
However, if its not all party you;re looking for, there was plenty of bars, both loud and quiet, you really can make this resort what you want it to be!!
Although when we were there it was very quiet, and cloudy, it was a lovely place to go for a week to chill out!!
Also went on a cheap (6 euro) trip to corfu town, which was a nice change of scene for the eve!! We also went to the local waterpark (20 euros for all inclusive day out) it wasnt brilliant, not too many slides, but enouhgj to keepo you entertained!!
I'd definetly go back to Sidari and olgas, especially for the price we paid! (£123!!!)"

"in reply to a review from a digruntled holidaymaker we,ve just returned from the olga 2 apartments after our 3rd stay,as usual we,ve had a great time the weather was in the 40,s every day just one shower but that was in the morning before you would even get up!We booked it direct this year and the savings are huge and include breakfast and air con, everyone at olga,s was friendly especially ria and kassia maid service was every day bar one and very efficent.the resort its self is on the quiet side but thats how we like it and if you want it livley sidari is only a walk away.the best resturants in canal d,mour are Nicholas,s The Village,Sweet Apple, and The Pizza Place keep clear of The 3 Little Pigs unless you like microwave food the best trips we found were Aqua Park n Corfu Town we can not recomend sidari and canal d ,mour more highly and weve booked up at the OLGA,S for next year already"

Lovely apartments !!!
"Well I think the reviwer above was maybe very unlucky but we found the Olga apartments to be very nice indeed. We arrived at 4am and we shown to our apartment (2 bedroomed) and it was spotless. Our air conditioning was fine, it never dripped and sometimes we were a bit too cold!! We had shower curtain and I found the bathroom to be of a high standard, as sometimes in greece you dont even get a bath just a shower.. The walls were ok too. (There was a notice telling people not to squash mossies on the wall). As for toliet paper, if we ran out, we just popped to the supermarket and got some, we never asked for any, as its really cheap anyway.. Another nice touch was a big bottle of water in the fridge with their compliments. The food in the pool bar was excellant and very reasonable. On the last day my neice was very unwell and she couldnt leave the reception, Ria (the receptionist) was very kind and took her temperature etc. All in all, a lovely holiday and I would stay there again if in Sidari"

Olga more like vulgar
"We booked our holiday with Thomas Cook and were told that Kosmar were the leading Greek holiday specialist. Obviously this put us in good spirits leading up to our arival at the apartment. When we arrived we found that the apartment had not been cleaned so we were left standing for a while until a maid turned up telling us to go away and come back so she could 'clean' the apartment.
After returning we found her 'cleaning' had consisted of running a mop over the floor, emptying the bin and changing the sheets. In general these were the problems that we found with the apartment: The maid came twice within a 7 day period only to empty the bin. There was no change of sheets or towels. The bathroom was basic and that is being generous with our praise. It was mouldy, the drains smelt of sewers and there was no shower curtain so water went everywhere. The air conditioning unit (once we paid an extra £30 for) dripped constantly and never gained the correct temperature. There is a problem with mosquitoes around the area and the wall in the apartment paid testament to this with the aray of squished mosquitoes on the wall.
The final nail in our holiday coffin was that after using up our 2 rolls of toilet paper, we were told that they would not be providing any extra. Considering this holiday cost £300 per person, we expected the basic service which included general good housekeeping.
We suggest pay a bit extra and go somewhere else in this resort, as the resort itself is very nice."

Great place to stay!
"Me and one of my friends stayed at Olgas studios for a week in June. We were a bit apprehensive as we managed to get the holiday quite cheap but was very impressed and greatly suprised. The appartments were basic but clean and we had everything we needed and were cleaned everyday. It is within a short distance of the beaches (spectacular scenery), the supermarket, shops, bars but is in a quiet location although about 5 minutes walk from the heart of the more livelier Sidari.
There are some wonderful restaurants, I was a bit concerned as I am a vegetarian but was well catered for. We ate at The Three Brothers Hotel one night which was outstanding and the staff were very friendly.
We booked with Thompson and the rep wanted us to book some very expensive excursions. When we didn't take up the offer she continued to ignore us (used peer pressure) and focused all her attension on the couple who did. We managed to find some excursions which were alot cheaper in town (S B Travel). We went on a coach trip to Corfu town at night (cost us 8 euros return) and another to Bella Vista and Paleokastricta (also costing us 8 euros return) which took us to a kumquat distillery for taste testing, a monastry, paleokastricta (we then paid 7 euros to go on a boat going into the caves) and lastly to makrades market. Both I would highly recommend.
I would go back to Olgas. The only other negative I would say was the transfer on the way back took 2 and a half hours picking everyone up going to the airport (taking an hour on the way there) and then the flight was delayed by 4 hours which one couple said has occurred the 5 times they have traveled from Corfu airport-not an airport you want to be delayed at, so take lots of water on the journey back!"

Best in Sidari
"Mikey and his staff are the most welcoming and helpful we have come across. The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean. The pool and bar area are well tended with plenty of sun loungers to go round. The restaurant serves drinks and meals all day and the bar is open as late as you want it. Most welcoming when you arrive at 1 o'clock in the morning. The beach is only a 2 min walk from the apartments and the shops and restaurants less than 5. You couldn't ask for a better location.
We will be back in August!"

"We have just returned from a two week break at the Olga apartments in Sidari. I was a bit anxious about what to expect from previous reviews. However, our accommodation was really good, the apartments (2 bedroom) was really quite spacious, although the kitchen was quite basic but functional. Stayed with our two kids who had a great time by the pool each day.
Accommodation really close to everything - short walk to beach and nightlife - but quiet enough that you could actually get some sleep.
Everyone connected with the hotel really friendly - drinks and food at the bar quite reasonable. Would recommend the Greek night - we have a really good time.
Would certainly consider going to this accommodation if going again to Corfu."

A lovely holiday,hotel and place!
"Me and my boyfriend have just returned back from Olga apartments.
It was our first holiday together and in our early twenties we wanted to make sure the place we stayed was suited for our age as well as being nice for a young couple who want quiet too.
Well, we could not fault this holiday except not going for two weeks! It was absolutly perfect. The beaches are beautiful - breath taking. They have lovely soft sand and clear clear clear water! There are lovely rocks situated just a small swim from the sand where you can sit on and enjoy the scenic views! Many people sun bathed on them and it just looked beautiful.
All the rocks and caves are wonderful, you can have a choice of so many beaches with minutes of walking distance - some that are discrete and quiet or others which a full and busy without having to travel/walk any futher than 3 minutes. Even though they are close they are all broken up by beautiful rocks which make them seperated.
Olga apartments was lovely! siuated in the best place they could be - by far the best place to stay for location. your 5-10minutes from the busy nightlife of the strip but you can walk out of that by olga apartments for the quiet nightlife.
It is lovely. I would go again any day! Please don't get put of by moaning people - honestly it is lovely! ENJOY"

"We have just returned from the Olga Apartments in Sidari in Corfu. We stayed in the older apartments but although they are basic they have all the facilities you'd want. The owner Mike and the reception staf Ria and Angie can't do enough to help you out. The food and drinks are well priced near the pool.
Mike the owner also runs Nikolas Restaurant which is just along the road, you can have a good meal for two with drinks for well under thirty euros. You can get a ltre carafe of wine for 6 euro's. The wine is good as well.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone."

"My 1st time in Greece - first time in a 2 star hotel, I loved it!
Normally go to Spain and this hotel was far better than some 3 star hotels Iâve stayed in before.
Stayed in 1 bed apart which was absolutely huge! Lovely balcony area - 2 in fact, well equipped kitchen - micro, oven, 2 rings, and kettle - also free bottle of water on arrival - donât know how many times I have arrived in the middle of the night and been gasping for a drink, so this was nice.
Rooms have air con - just a few euros a day but well worth it as I got attacked by the mosquitoes when leaving room doors open!
Pool area is fine however all bars and hotels are open to public so u can choose where u want to go every day. Kanali hotel across the road had a beautiful pool area looking over cliffs!
Pool food at olgaâs was good too.
Restaurant wise I recommend the pizzeria next to Churchillâs and the 3 little pigs.
Cactus Jacks has a great singer - Bondi go see him!
Excellent value for money.

We stayed at the Olga Apartments in June...
"We stayed at the Olga Apartments in June 2006 for 1 week. Olga's is made up of two parts, one being fairly new, and modern the other being a bit run down and in need of TLC! We were placed in the latter.
The room was fairly big but was very dated and in need of a lick of paint. The bathroom was very small with a shower in the corner of the room very close to the toilet with a shower curtain that clung to you for dear life when you showered! The kitchen area was not very clean and housed a lot of ants.
That said we felt that we got what we paid for.
On the last day we paid to keep our room for a longer and were moved to a room in the new block which was really nice. Very new, modern and nice and clean. A thousand times better than what we'd had for the week. Iâd advise anyone of thinking of staying here to request the new block when you book.
The apartments have a pool area with sunbeds on the grass surrounding and a bar serving food as well. We always went to the beach which was about a ten minute stroll from Olgaâs. Although you do have to cross the canal which is a bit whiffy!
Sidari is a nice little resort with some very nice restaurants and bars. If youâre looking for busy nightlife this wonât be the place for you.
We went in June and the weather was brilliant."

"I and 2 friends have just got back from the Olga Apartments this weekend.
I and my friends have just been diagnosed with scabies as we have itched non stop all week!!!!
One can only assume this was due to the beds and poor hygiene in the apartments so be warned......
We found the air conditioning definetely wasnt up to scratch, in temperatures well into the 90's it is not powerful enough to keep the rooms cool and we found ours was also leaking on the floor.
The location was ideal as only a 1 minute to the local beach although if you are disabled you will find it extremely difficult to get to as you literally have to walk down a very small cliff to get to it!
I would go back to Sidari but not back to the Olga Apartments.
