Roda Oasis Hotel & Apartments

"The roda oasis was small and friendly, the staff and the two brothers who owned the hotel were great, drinks and food were expensive but the food was delicious, pool was small but adequate, plenty of sunbeds available as hotel was never full. Beach in roda was dissappointing not very clean. Hotel was very clean all through, but towels are only changed twice weekly, so take your own if possible. Many family members around the hotel and we found them to be always having heated discussions which i did not really want to hear when i am on holiday or eating in the restaurant, my teenage daughter became a little bored as no real entertainment but the week was still very good.
Views from our apartment were very pretty, olive groves and mountains but the 2 bedroom apartment we had was very small, we were half board but if we were self catering i would have struggled with kitchen and seating areas, oh and you have to pay an extra 7 euro's a night for the air conditioning, which is well needed, very very hot, this was an extra cost i was not aware of ."

Thank you Roda Oasis, our best holiday in years.
"The hotel and ALL of its exceptionally friendly staff, made our holiday from the second we walked through the door. If you readsome reviews of this family run hotel, you would be left thinking that your money would be grabbed at every opportunity but this is definitely NOT the case. The staff here cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble, and we found the food to be excellent. (Especially the baked feta cheese!)
It is clean throughout, and has great views of the olive groves and mountains from the balconies. You are away from the main noisier town strip by no more than a 5 minute walk but you cannot hear it from the hotel.
this is a great place to chill out and relax, there is a market opposite for those who are self catering, and around the corner you can hire a moon buggy (great fun), quad or bike which is a great way to explore 'real' corfu.
As there are not a huge amount of rooms, the hotel is not crowded and impersonal either. The prices are slightly expensive however, this is true of corfu as a whole and due to the exchange rate more than anything else. We would definitely return again, and I would have liked to have stayed much longer."

First holiday, great fun, brilliant week!!!
"My first holiday abroad with my partner, could not have wished for a better week. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Service was great and the two brothers looked after us well. The prices in the bar where a little steep, but the food was of good quality. The pool is small but very clean and perfect for the size of hotel. the entertainment of an evening was hilarious, I recommend the 'WAR' dance, the lead dancer was a real character and made it superb fun. We ventured into the town which was about ten min. walk. Lots of bars and restaurants, try the 'Pirate Bar' for karoeke, cocktails, Guiness and football. The beach was also clean and a nice alternative to the pool."

very nice break
"As a group of 4 adults we stayed at "Roda Oasis" and enjoyed it a lot. Nikos, Costa, Elena, Pepe and especially Jackie all made sure we were all looked after really well.Only 2 negative comments are the prices in hotel were a bit steep and we had a few packets of ciggaretts stolen from our room on our 2nd day. Pool was lovely nice cooling off place as temps were really high. Food was always fresh and very tasty. Taxi to Roda was only 5 euro and to Sidari 15 euro.Greek night held each Sat was very entertaining !! In all a relaxing week."

lovely and spotless hotel and apartments
"If your looking for cleanliness and well maintained, then look no further the roda oasis is for you. we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was massive it also had 2 balconys one of the kitchen and one of one of the bedrooms. the rooms are cleaned monday to saturday and your beds are also made. linen and towels are changed twice a week. kostas and nikos are lovely, as are the rest of the staff. its true they would rather you stayed at there hotel to buy drinks and eat,but your not forced to. the bars and shops are a 10 minute walk from the hotel as is the beach. the road is also light up and we found no problems with it, we also had 2 kida with us adeg 7 and 11. the pool which has just been renewed was big enough and cleaned every day. the hotel was full for the 2 weeks we were there and you had no problem with sunbeds, most people went out to the beach or to other towns for the th day, you could get the bus to sadari, kassiopi and it cost 1 euro 80 each way. the bus stop was a 10 minute walk. we also took the kids to aqua land, dont book through the rep, its a lot cheaper down town go to nsk they do a good deal, and youll get picked up from the hotel and dropped of there. air conditioninh is extra, its about 100 euros for the fortnight. you will need it. my moto is dont listenen to what other people say go and find out for your self and youll be pleasantly surprised."

We didn't like it all
"A number of people refer to the management chasing your money and I have to say that was also true in our case too. The management did not seem at all impressed that we would not spend much money in their over-priced bar and they let us know it. But it wasn't just the staff - this seemed to permeate through to the other guests to, who seemed content to hang around the hotel for two weeks and drink in their rooms at night (not for us at all). There also a lot of noise and when I asked to move rooms I was told that it wasn't possible. But I think the worst part was that the patio doors (which just opened out onto the central walkway of the hotel) would not lock and when I asked for the lock to be fixed my complaint was just ignored - which meant ever time we left our room anyone could get in if they had tried. The air-conditioning was extra and even wehn you paid for it, it was not available in the day. The pool was tiny and hotel wasn't exactly ideally placed - out on the edge of town. All in all definitely our worst holiday hotel experience."

Nice welcome - shame about the money grabbing!
"This was our second stay at the Roda Oasis.
Many reviews of this hotel and apartments rave about the personal service and friendliness of the two brothers that run this hotel Costas and Nikos and this is true - but a few notice that they are first and foremost businessment out to make money - and sometimes it shows.
The hotel is spotlessly clean but the rooms and bathrooms are very small. For a week they are just about OK. The pool is small but was certainly big enough for us when we were there as the hotel was only about half-full, if that. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk from the hotel to Roda centre and a large part of this walk is along an unlit main road and the traffic can be very daunting - particularly if you had young children with you as we had.
We had lunch in the hotel most days (much dearer than we would have paid had we walked into Roda) and the drinks, including soft drinks, at the bar were very expensive by comparison. Every night after dinner we returned to the hotel for a drink (or two!) before bed and we were usually persuaded to get involved in whatever entertainment they had on. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 young boys so we were their star customers as far as getting money was concerned. Even before the last night we spent a lot in their hotel.
On the last night, we were given a 'dram' of special Greek brandy as a goodbye drink which we though was from them. Unfortunately we were billed for this as we were leaving the hotel the next day - and despite the brandy being of good quality, this left a very sour taste in our mouth (pun!).
It certainly coloured our judgement as to any possibility of returning to the Roda Oasis - that and the fact that Roda is small and not a particularly attractive resort persuaded us that we would look elsewhere for short breaks in Greece which we have done successfully."

"Would certainly recommend this hotel for its friendliness and cleanliness. We booked B & B which was continental breakfast.- orange juice, toast, ham, cheese, butter, jam, tea or coffee. Don't bother with the cooked breakfast as it is expensive compared with prices in local restaurants. Beds made 6 days a week and linen and towels changed twice a week but that was ideal for us. Couldn't fault the staff especially Marion who worked a 13 hr day and the 2 brothers who run the Hotel - nothing was a problem . We stayed on the1st floor in Room 27 which was far enough away from the restaurant where Bingo and Karaoke was held each night sometimes until 3 in the morning . Pool was cleaned regularly and overall I would certainly recommend a vsit to this Hotel."

"really good time, appt a little small for a family of four sharing (teenage son had a camp bed in the kitchen). Staff very friendly, Dora really sweet although worked too hard. Food in hotel was excellent although expensive. Not bad location, roda is a small resort but everything we needed."

Holiday in Roda August 2014
"This is a clean friendly hotel with great pool and bar area .
However the breakfast is poor and the beds very uncomfortable !
Also the showers in the rooms are very dated."

out to impress
"returned yesterday fron the roda oasis. 1/07/11-08/07/11
you would not find a cleaner accomodation. it was spotless everywhere. the cleaners and staff are very well organized. Nikos and costos seem to take grest pride in there business. Thomson recently started to use them and are out to impress. Air con fridges, and safe deposit boxes are chargeable as in most hotels so this come as no suprise to me and the wife. we stayed on a Bed and Breakfast deal and as others have commented on it's just toast ham cheese jam tea coffee etc, the same each day, you can have a full breakfast for 4 euros. they do a full menu to have in the evening and a snack bar during the day. the prices are a little higher than you would pay at other places, but overall not too bad.
3 euro a pint. down the front in roda between 2 and 3 euros. the owners make you feel welcome and we was realy pleased with our stay ther and would go back"
