"Excellent ValueCustomer rating: 07 October 2010Arrived almost a day late due to to storm but credit to Easyjet who got coaches and top class hotel organised for a night in Athens. Transfers were straightforward at Corfu airport and took only 10 mins or so on coach from Airport. Check in smooth, its a bit of a walk to most rooms as there are many blocks set into hillside, there is a very friendly curtesy minibus if you need a lift, but be aware if you have real walking difficulties there are some steep hills. Room was basic but more than adequate and comfortable, very clean with TV A/C etc. We were in what appeared to be family room for the two of us so plenty of space. Double then seperate two singles through sliding doors. nice terrace with front and side sea views, slightly obscured by trees but lovely. Food of top quality for this level of hotel, have stayed in quite a few AI places and this was best 4star AI in greece we have found so far, wine and beer on tap was of decent enough standard. Nice atmosphere in dining room great views through picture windows. Usual serve yourself but good choice, the waiters are efficient without being too fussy (Costas was great, always looked after us). Entertainment team were friendly again without being too pushy, what we saw was OK. What we really liked was you could have a dance after the entertainment finished as the DJ carried on, so many places we've been to dont offer this. Although the AI drinks finish at 11pm so dont miss last orders! reasonable choice of drinks including cocktails. Pools looked OK but spent most time at the private beach reached via tunnel under coast road, Narrow but attractive, almost always plenty of sunbeds available, snacks and beach bar toilets and changing, The swimming is Fab, water lovely but watch your feet, recommend swim shoes as quite pebbly close to shore (about 6 Euros at the supermarkets) Definitely recommend snorkling if you can plenty fish, octopus etc. So very few negatives, you cant really walk anywhere from hotel the pavements end about 400m each way and the road/drivers leave a bit to be desired, however bus stop right at hotel entrance and Corfu town 20mins 1.3euro each way (buy ticket at supermarket before you get on and from machine at bus stop for return) Corfu town well worth visit also Benitses 5 mins 0.9euro each way for an evening stroll (go up the back road signed as the old town) also small harbour here too. Check out 12.00 but you werent stripped of AI band like most places which was great as we were flying late evening. No clean towels in courtesy room and no system for reserving this or booking a time just had to hang round reception for key to be available(could be better organised. All in all great value and amazingly relaxing for such a large number of rooms at this hotel, low and mid season no doubt best times to visit and we would be happy to return to the Aeolos Beach. "

A Good 3 Star Hotel (Not a 4 Star)
" Just got back from a weeks stay at the Sentido resort & would say it is a 3 star & not a 4 star as advertised. The hotel bars & lobby was very nice with very nice bar staff. My room with sea view was very dirty we had sand in the bed, sand on the floor, mould on the bathroom walls, the towels were never replaced always hung back up after we left them for replacement. If you dont like planes flying level with your bedroom window all day & night this hotel is not for you. It has very nice clean gardens & clean pools. Corfu airport is a dump. It cost me 20 euro for taxi to the hotel which was cheaper then the transfer charge. "

"We've just returned from our holiday yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our week in this hotel. The food is amazing, i have been to many all inclusive hotels and the food here is by far the best. My daughter who is a picky eater on holiday ate big meals 3 times a day and managed 2 puddings every night! My daughter loved the ice cream and there was loads of different flavours, my only gripe is that adults can't have it, its only for kids. Lots of diffent drinks to choose from the bars and we didn't mind queing for 5 mins or paying for bottled water ( most all inclusive charge for this anyway ). Animation team where fantastic with kids and adults, lots of things going on throughout the day. Entertainment at night was good, all the younger kids enjoyed the mini disco and then everyone enjoyed the shows that start after. The large pool was fantastic, the veiws from the pool where stunning. Yes it is very hilly walking around the hotel, can be hard work when its very hot but at least it burns off some of the food you have eaten. The rooms are very basic, but to me it didn't matter as we only slept in there and showered. The rooms where very clean. The hotel is in a quiet spot, but buses run during the day to many different villages and corfu town. We enjoyed a walk to Benitese, just be carefull of the traffic as hardly any pavements along the road. I'd of given this hotel a 5* rating, but the rooms did let it down. Also our transferes to the airport was picking us up at 3.20am and we had to walk down with our suitcases to meet the bus, In the dark with 9yr old who was so tired she could hardley keep her eyes open. I thought the same mini bus that picked us up on arrival would of done the same our departure."

"The hotel is clean and tidy with the private beach and the pool on the hillside in between the various apartment/hotel room blocks. Main hotel real comfy and has nice seating areas. The Reception staff are really helpful. Food was good, although sometimes the hot service was a little repetitive and had a quirky interpretation on 'English' theme night (various themes throughout our say), with fish fingers and voulas-vons, made us smile! Entertainment I think is in high season only with the Animation Team taking the kids and keeping them occupied for the day. The water polo in the pool at 15:00 was great, and entertained both us and also the on-lookers round the pool. The air con is an absolute must to help sleep, although the bed tries to stop that as it was a little firm to say the least! All-in-all this was just what we expected and the walk up to our room helped keep the weight gain down from all the food &alcohol consumed as part of our all inclusive! All the flights, transfers and the Medhotel rep were fantastic. Thanks "

"Hotel was great and very modern with beautiful views overlooking the sea. Entertainment was reasonable and the food and drink was good with a variety of choice. The pools were lovely especially the one overlooking the sea and the beach was great too with the option of volleyball, pedeloâs, canoes etc. There is a lot of walking involved in this hotel it is all uphill! Our room was unclean, damp & some days it wasnât cleaned at all. We didnât have all the facilities it was supposed to offer i.e. tea & coffee facilities, soap etc. Although other rooms were modern, clean and had all facilities they were supposed to. We received our welcome pack on the last day which was slightly annoying as we had to find out everything for ourselves as the hotel staff did not explain anything to us. The staff were often unhelpful and even rude i.e. when we told them we had no hot water on the first day which they said they would sort out the next day. We had to complain four times for them to eventually sort it out. You cannot safely walk anywhere outside the hotel as the roads are windy and there are no paths. Although you can catch a bus to Corfu town outside the hotel for about 2euros, and there is a moped, quad bike and car hire also just outside the hotel. The hotel is about 15minutes from the airport and about 20minutes from Corfu town which is definitely worth a visit."

"We had avery enjoyable time here and the best recommendation comes from our twelve year old daughter who didn't want to go but is now desperate to again next year. I find it difficult to understand some of the negative comments made by other reviewers as we had a very positive experience. All the staff were helpful and friendly. It is hardly surprising that a hotel complex built on a hill has steps - can I suggest that Eastbourne may be more suitable."

Great animation team bad entertainment!
"If you've already booked then I,m sure you'll enjoy it. If you haven't booked yet then don't bother! The entertainment was the worst part followed by the standard of the food. We had bacon four times in two weeks and got quite excited when it was on! Maybe that gives you some idea of the things to look forward too! Don't get me wrong it wasn't the best holiday that we'd been on but it wasn't the worst either. We've never been anywhere that has incited us to write a review but all the things that are wrong with the hotel someone else has written a review on, so don't do what we did and read good into all the bad comments but try to look at it objectivly! I'm not allowed to write everything that happened to us on this holiday otherwise they wouldn't print the review but one word of warning please don't enter any of the competitions! The familly party consisted of me and my husband two seventeen year olds one sixteen year old and one eight year old. Mostly french in the hotel some italian and tunisian some belgium and germans and about six british families! Big queues at the beach taverna for lunch massive amount of steps to get back up to main pool. Whatever you do don,t ask for iced tea otherwise you get apple juice! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!"

"the hotel was lovely. A great wide range of food to select from and the pools were georgeous. Plently of things to do, e.g. tennis, internet corner, playing pool, swimming in the pools, a park for kids, going to the beach. there was loads. but to get to the nearest town you had to take the bus witch was only 1 euro. There was a handy little shop at the bottom of the road to the hotel. It had a beach with banna boating, ringos, peddel boats, water ski and more. The aeolos beach was only a five minute drive from the airport. The rooms were air conditioned with a balcony for each room. The rooms were cleaned daily, and each room had a working T.V with plenty of channels inculding a video link into the main hotel at reception. They supplied you with a live entertainment each night and also gave a quiet ad peacful sofa area were you could sit and have a relacting time and could also keep an eye on the young ones. I would definitly go back there anyday. And I miss everyday that i'm not there."

Lovely Hotel - Wish I was still there!!
"Wow!!! This was an absolute beauty. I'd never been All Inclusive before and was a bit apprehensive but was so surprised with how good it was I've booked to go again!! On arrival we were taken to our room - by car (which was excellent as we didn't have to carry our luggage around) upto a basic but clean room. The view was amazing. As we were quite high up on a hill, you could see right out to sea and across to mainland greece! It was gorgeous. I took pictures but they really don't do justice to any of the views there. The room was very clean and had everything you need, with TV (mainly german!) We did watch a film every night (in English!) when we came home at the end of the night. The top pool was a work of art, when you were sunbathing, it looked as though the edge of the pool dropped down the side of the hill, then rolled into the sea (you need to see it to appreciate it). It really was beautiful. The bottom pool was mainly used to sit around on a night time for the (not so spectacular) entertainment. The restaurant was excellent. The choice of food was outstanding (I'm a fussy eater and I was spoilt for choice). Sit outside for gorgeous views of the Greek mainland. It really is a beautiful setting. It's self service buffet so you can help yourself to as much as you can eat! Be prepared for clothes to become tighter!! There isn't much to do away from the hotel but unless you're wanting to party, you'll definitely enjoy this hotel. I'd recommend this to anyone (except party animals!) and would go back tomorrow."

"I had booked this hotel through medhotels, they gave it a 4* silver rating, and having booked with them last year, I trusted their opinion as our hotel was good, but this one is definitely not a 4*, and if I had known it was a mere 3* or less I wouldn't have thought twice, not even bothered to read any reviews about it. THIS HOTEL IS UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SUITABLE FOR OLD PEOPLE OR PEOPLE WITH WALKING DIFFICULTIES, UNLESS OF COURSE YOU FANCY ACHING KNEES AND POUNDING HEART. Upon arrival, our first impression of the hotel was not very good, it was dull, miserable and lifeless, although we arrived around lunch time, but then we realised that the restaurant is actually on the beach for lunches, so we assumed ALL the people are there eating! We had to wait a good 90 minutes before we were given our keys and remote controls for TV and air conditioner, we were lucky to get a room adjacent to the main building as breakfast and dinner is served there but not lunch. After checking into our room I was nearly in tears to see the VERY basic room, not what I had expected from a so called 4*, the floor was wet from cleaning and it smelt really bad, tables were covered with dust, and the TV was smaller than a computer screen with most of the programmes in German except for BBC news and some of MTV programs, and also an American film that gets repeated every 2 hours for a week (they change the film every Friday) So after a VERY crappy night entertainment that usually starts before the set time to get it over and done with, we retreat to our miserable room and spend the night watching news on BBC and put up with bored children! We went on 17th July for a week, expect to see lots of French and German at this time, not many english tourists as it wasn't the summer holiday yet, so maybe you'd see more of them after that date or beginning of August, so my children couldn't really make any friends, luckily my daughter is learing German, so she went around the hotel practicing her new language followed by her very bored brother. Food was ok and varied, drinks weren't that good, their Coca Cola doesn't really taste anything like Coke, so I lived on water for a week, you're adviced to go all inclusive as you're expected to pay 2.30 euros for a small diluted so called Coke. Their free coctails are rubbish, but the paid for ones are ok in the main bar. DISADVANTAGES: 1. Too many steps and steep hills, to go from the swimming pool on top of the hill down to the beach to have lunch is dreadful, so we gave the swimming pool a miss for a whole week and spent it on the beach. 2. Expect to queue forever to get a drink during lunch time as it's not a self service but served by a -desperately trying to be funny- man who lets the queue build up while he jokes around with kids! 3. Expect to see street and sick dogs wandering around the tables hungry, we had to complain about them twice to the reception desk, but no action was taken, and WE WERE TOLD TO CLAP OUR HANDS HARD TO SCARE THEM OFF! (WHAT AN ADVICE)! 4. Air conditioning is usually off during day time in the lobby when it's boiling hot! 5. Towels are not changed every day but every other day, and the cleaning service is bad, we lived with a dirty toilet and dust all week. 6. Not many sun lounges especially on the pool, so you need to wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve yours! 7. The beach is supposed to be private, but expect to see intruders, and friends of the hotel staff with their dogs favoured over you of course and offered sun lounges and drinks for free while you wait impatiently under the sun. 8. There were only 2 canoes and two pedal boats and a massive queue with one attendant, who wasn't really bothered to organise the queue, and would disappear for ages. 9. Waiters service is not efficient, but hey it's a self service thing isn't it? So you clean the table, pick all the dirty dishes and dump them on the nearest dirty table, turn the table cloth upside down, get your food, sit and eat! 10. Animation team is useless, not funny and all they do is clap all day long! they're very boring and don't really mix with people, and the shows are very boring and depressing. 11. Toilets near the pool and beach are EXTREMELY filthy and smelly. Advantages: 1. Food was varied and plentiful and they cater for children and there's also a section for less or non fat food for people with health problems like myself. 2. Staff are ok, not rude but not attentive either. 3. Being on a hill the weather is somewhat better than downtown Corfu, also the air conditioning is good. 4. The entrance is opposite the bus station that takes you to Corfu town, and it's 1 Euro per person to go there, there's a bus every hour or so, the last one that leaves Corfu back to the hotel is around 10pm, but the town really gets busy at that time, so we usually take a taxi back which cost around 15 Euros and it's a 20 minutes journey. There are no metres in taxis so make sure you ask about the price before you hop on. Shops in Corfu are closed on Sundays and Mondays but the souvenir shops are open until late, also coffee shops and some restaurants, but expect to pay around 5 Eruos for a small Bailey's coffee. I might go back to Corfu as I loved the town, but I will definitely not stay at Aeolos beach, and would never recommend it to anybody, especially those with small children and prams or those with walking difficulties, I'm 35 years old and couldn't bear all the steps in the heat, but maybe it's a good way to burn off the food you eat, so indulge and don't count the calories! I might have gone in the wrong time of the year, maybe you might find it better if you go at a less busy time or not during school holidays. I wish you a pleasant stay, not like mine. Good luck!"

"After reading previous reviews we were a bit apprehensive. But we were surprised!! Our room was overlooking the large pool with a fabulous view of Mainland Greece which was only a mile across the seas. Rooms basic but clean. Clean bedding and towels on a daily basis. Food was great with a large variety to please everyon both Breakfast and Evening dinner. Beach bar had a hot and cold buffet and the snack bars pizza, hot dogs and rolls. Entertainment wasn't brilliant in which it focused more for the children which our daughter enjoyed. Some staff we very polite but there were the odd few that were not. The entertainment team were extremely pleasant and would try their very best to get everybody to enjoy their holiday. As the complex is built on a hill, this hotel is not for those with walking difficulties. This was our first holiday abroad for 17 years and it was our daughters first, we thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this Hotel for both All inclsuive and Self Catering and we will definately make a return visit in the future."
