"Our holiday was a 25th wedding anniversary gift and what a gift. My only gripe is that our week went too quickly.

Hotel was fabulous food was fabulous(I’m a cook myself so know my stuff ) very friendly staff. Been looking on the net to find next years availability to take our two youngest with us this time. You’ve just got to give it a go. We’ve only ever been abroad once before and we’re really nervous.

Needn’t have been though it’s probably the only little bit of luxury we’ll have. So I’d recommend this one to anyone."

"Beautiful area. Hotel on the beach front. There are three bays all really close with small boat trips every day. Recommend hiring car from hotel to see around the island. Also recommend going up to see the old Abbey & beautiful views.

Not a good choice if you are looking for a lively nightlife although there are restaurants that stay open late. Lush green surroundings & lovely weather. Hotel basic but satisfactory. Fussy eaters may struggle.

"We have just returned from a week’s break at this hotel. From the very first moment, we were impressed! You walk into a very grand reception, air-conditioned, marble, glass and oodles of stylish, comfy sofas to relax in!

The hotel is actually a complex. Lots of smaller classical villa-esque buildings set within the most beautiful gardens! The rooms were typically Mediterranean, but with added bonuses of air-con, TV, mini bar, hairdryer and safe. All rooms have either a balcony or a veranda.

The bathroom was equipped with all necessities including a bath and very good shower.

The rooms were maintained well and cleaned thoroughly.

We went half board, but there is the option to go all-inclusive. If possible we would advise to try and go bed and breakfast. The food is ok, however, once you have eaten at one of the fantastic tavernas in the very immediate vicinity, you’ll wonder why you bothered initially paying extra to eat at the hotel. Having said this, we did sometimes eat lunch at the Al la Carte Restaurant at the hotel, this was a great experience and very reasonably priced.

All the public areas, gardens and pools are immaculately kept. It was lovely to walk out on a morning and be hit with the fresh floral smells!

We went as a couple looking for a quiet, relaxing break, but there were lots of families too. They seemed to have lots to do; there was a mini-club, cartoon shows and a lovely adventure playground. The evening entertainments also catered for kids too.

There was a variety of activities going on throughout the day, e.g., water aerobics, water polo, volleyball, football, table tennis etc. The entertainment staff were very friendly and made sure that everyone was having fun...whether that be playing games or just relaxing by the pool.

The evening entertainment was fun! Each night has a children’s disco, one bingo game (usually to win daft prizes. but it is fun to try and keep up whilst the bloke read out numbers in 5 different languages.) And then there is a bi-weekly cabaret programme with different acts on each night. We saw a magician show, a fakir show, a Greek night a game show night and a cabaret night. There are no entertainment on a Saturday night.

Not many UK people know about this hotel, so we were one of only two UK families at the resort. Other guests come from Germany, France, Austria, Belgian, Holland and Poland. Hotel staff can converse in English, French and German.

The hotel is situated right next to the beach in the very quiet resort of Messonghi. We loved the quietness, but there are plenty of tavernas, bars and shops on the 3 minute walk to the beach. You can walk about 15 minutes and get to the more thumping night life...nice if you like to go to Greece to go to English and Irish bars!

We would whole heartedly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing holiday as a couple or a family in beautiful surroundings."
