Bun fight at the OK CORCYRA
"Stayed here AUGUST 2011 lovely hotel, food very good if a bit repetative. Our only problem was the sheer volume of guests, which the staff, restaurants, pools, beach, reception all seemed to have difficulty coping with although they all worked extremely hard. The outdoor terrace would have been beautiful for a drink in the evening if it had been possible to find a table, even if you managed this it was virtually impossible to chill out because of children running riot everywhere , (and we love kids).Meal times were another farce its a wonder there werent any accidents in the restaurant people wandering around aimlessly with plates of hot food , once again children running everywhere(not a fan of health and safety but this was extreme stupidity). If you are considering this hotel avoid the month of August.Try local bars and Tavernas they are much more civilised"

Good value ... excellent location...awful entertainment
"We stayed here for two weeks in July 2011. Our room was in main hotel and was refurbished, flat screen TV, light oak furnishings, comfy bed and first class air-con! Had to pay 3.50 Euros per day for safe, which should have been included in the All Incl. package! Good food choices, but restaurant a bit canteenish. Thankfully no smoking allowed in hotel or in covered eating areas. Wine and all drinks are local, not bad, low in alcohol though! Excellent beach area with a small number of thatched umbrellas and sun beds (all free)for hotel guests. Main pool is mainly for children and the "all day" activities. The lagoon is primarily a "family" zone, where you can eat and drink all day! Staff are excellent throughout the hotel, if you know a bit of Greek it all helps! Highly recommended "

"Just got back from a week at the Corcyra Beach hotel, it was excellent. Just 20 mins from the airport, huge grounds and hotel lovely and clean. Food was excellent, went to the Asian resturant twice which was included in the AI, was very, very good food. Beach was lovely and always beds available even if you didnt go there until lunch time. All the staff were helpful and always eager to please. Went on a boat trip to the North of the Island with Speiros who is based on the hotel's private beach, was a lovely afternoon and well worth the 17e each for the trip. Will definately be visiting this hotel again."

"Stayed at this hotel from 8 - 15 Oct 2010 and wish we had not. All areas of hotel both internal and external were infested by mosquitoes and drinks dispensers - soft drinks and beer taps were covered in wasps. I am assured that these infestations only happen in late Sep and Oct - so if planning a late holiday in 2011 - all I can say is be warned. Food was poor, often failrly tepid and appeared to be made from stock left in the kitchen - the week 8-15 Oct was last week hotel has open for season and it showed. Entertainment was disgusting - to call it amateurish would in my personal opinion we an insult to the word amateur, and fell well short of what could and should have been provided. A child disco, followed by a quiz on most nights, with only two 'professional' nights - duo one night and Greek dancers another. There were many unhappy people. Cats were routinely allowed to enter and wonder around the dining room, and public areas. The hotel has stunning views - it was what attracted us, plus good reviews and I am sure in high season with a fully stocked larder it probably is good - in early October it was simply awful"

"I had the most amazing holiday ever. you have to go all inclusive! the food is outstanding. breakfast buffet, lunch and evening meal. not to mention free snacks and icecream throughtout the day. the free drinks! wow- the cocktails and array of them too. The hotel room was nice, lovely view and balcony. Would of liked a bit more storage though. Spaciouos bathroom, comfy beds and great air conditioning! the two pools were brilliant, lagoon pool visuallly amazing and more relaxing, beach pool very loud and great atmosphere mainly due to the 'Animation Team'. They made my holiday , very friendly and extremly lively and funny. The beach is beautiful and the sea is pleasently warm. The watersports are excellent although maybe priced rather high, i went on an amazing boat trip to the coves and dived off the boat! The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the town full of shops, bars and clubs. Good nightlife. Brilliant two for 1 offers on drinks aswell. I really do reccommend this place for couples, familys and groups of friends. it caters for everyone and most of all is very safe, i felt extremely safe walking into town at night and the people are lovely. You have to go! "

"Very disappointing hotel room very basic no drawers to put clothes in. No bedsidetable one side of double bed bottle of water had to stand on floor. 3 shelves in wardrobe. Room would have been better if they had not put a single bed in as well.Good Balcony Need to be slim in the bathroom.Good choice of breakfast but bacon etc always cold. Greek sweets for breakfast but not for evening meal didnt appreciate sweet things as such for breakfast. Dining room staff very unfriendly apparently not many Greek. Definately not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as midday meal was down a long road and steps to the swimming pool. Not advertised in brochure. Not even a bench or chair to rest on half way. Transport should be provided which we did get after 2 days? Entertainment was rubbish, except for a duo we had for over 2 hours would have been good if we could have had them a couple of nights as they were good.Worst 4star hotel I have ever stayed in. was clean. Definately not 4****"

"just returned from a week all inclusive we were a party of 6 age range from 25-50! firstly the grounds are beautiful and kept very clean, the food was very much a typical all inclusive and can become quite boring! rooms were clean and tidy! men in ourparty very disapointed/annoyed that they could only play the sports/games when the animation team said? they asked on numerous occassions if they could leave deposits for table tennis only to be told its only allowed at certain times of the day!! (this was a big downer for our party) they thought they were being treated like children instead of grown ups on holiday! the entertainment was RUBBISH!! could have done with a light bit of music when sitting around the main bar? service in the restaurant was not good we often had to ask the waiters to come and clear other people dirty plates so that we can sit down to eat! the sevice was not that of a 4 star hotel!(but we had heard from other guest that the service had gone down from previous trips they had had at this hotel!bar staff never seemed happy! wine in self service stands often run out! had to tell staff 3 times in that week (no wine)! we did go out of the hotel 5 nights out of the 7 had some really good times every 1 so friendly! whispers / melodies were good nights! corful town was very nice! all in all we had a good time apart from these few little hiccups!would reccommend this hotel just for the beautiful grounds we loved the lagoon pool/beach "

"After a week cruising on the Emerald we thought it couldn't get any better, boy were we wrong. This hotel is definately one I will be going back to. Everything about it was perfect. Food was excellent. Room was very modern and very clean. Had a lovely view looking out to sea. Two super pools, hard to decide which pool to use each day. Would recommend this hotel to families and couples."

My partner and I booked our first holida...
"My partner and I booked our first holiday away together with Thomas Cook to the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel. We were utterly astonished at how beautiful and exquisite the hotel and surroundings were. We were greeted with complimentary cocktails at the entrance to the hotel and were easily booked into our room by the friendly staff. The room was more than we could have imagined. The next morning we met up with our rep and were more than informed of the activities we could take part in. We decided on a boat ride to a private beach where we would stay for a few hours and be provided with lunch. This was the most amazing activity I have ever taken part in on holiday. We were given a tour of the island and were taken into the caves where one of the tour guides jumped out of the water and returned with a star fish! After we had some more than enough sight-seeing, we headed to the private beach. We snorkelled under the water and fed our hunger with a very appetising lunch. After a long day we returned back to hotel and enjoyed the dinner provided by the hotel or we would go out to the other magnificent restaurants that were nearby. We had an amazing time at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel and had no bad memories to reflect on at all - apart from a slight problem with the wasps! Things changed however, when we returned home and but only 2 days later the hotel was all over the news. This was a massive shock as the hotel seemed almost unreal as it was so perfect. Our stories of how elegant the hotel was were crushed by the horrific news that took place in October 2006 in the Louis Corcyra Beach hotel. We were deeply saddened and shocked by this news. We could not look back on our holiday without thinking of the young children involved in the terrible event that took place. This also made us scared at how this could have been us. It was a definite eye-opener. Although this incident was very horrible and a complete trauma to a lot of people, we still enjoyed our week in the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel and would thoroughly recommend it. That is if there were definitely all safety precautions taken to ensure the safety of all the hotel's customers. We would certainly return if this was a certainty. But for now, we'll just look back on our remarkable week and we will most definitely remember it forever."
