"The location is perfect: easy to find and in a quiet but very central area. We felt at home since the first minute. Hotel owners were sooo friendly, like good friends. In the mornings we enjoyed a very good breakfast buffet. Sarah, Andy and Jamie - the whole family - was really helpful to us. All in all we would definitely come back here!!!! Thank you!"

Avra @ Benitses: Home and Away

"Me and my sister stayed in Hotel Avra in Benitses from July 9 till July 16 (7 night-stay).

It is situated in a relatively quiet neighbourhood not far away from the old town square and local supermarkets (perfect for anyone who's into spending their holiday in a cozy place that's not too crowded).

The service was absolutely great; Sarah Jane (the hotel's receptionist & co-owner) is a considerate person who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her customers.

One thing I liked in particular about her approach, is that she easily managed switching from *serious mode* into *relaxed mode* and the other way around as well.

She knows when & how to get down to business (without appearing stiff or fake), but also when to let herself go and just have a good laugh (which allows for the customer to feel comfortable at all times).

The interior and rooms are small (in a charming way - not claustrophobic) and absolutely adorable.

There's sufficient storage space for clothing, accessories or extra luggage (e.g. dresser, drawers; boudoir table with mirror + squared benches where you can either pile up even more stuff or just sit).

An absolute plus is the inclusion of mosquito nets & fans in the rooms (perfect during those hot summer days!), and the presence of trees right outside the hotel really help block out heat from the sun (even on hotter days).

Also the balconies are great to dry any freshly laundered clothing or just hang out for a bit whilst drinking a cool glass of your favourite beverage.

My sister and I spent an awesome time at the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay ay Avra hotel.

Keep up the good work SJ, Andy & Jamie!

We love you!

"The hotel owners (Sarah-jane and Andy) went to a lot of trouble to make us feel comfortable and very welcome. We felt like one of the family - nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly recommend an Easter stay as we took part in all of the celebrations and customs."

"I was a guest at Hotel Avra for a week. I had never met the family that run it before i went there and i have left having made new friends - not only with that family but with fellow guests.
The hotel has a relaxing environment suitable for everyone.
The facilities were great and the entire hotel had a home away from home feel. When i next visit Corfu i will definately be staying at hotel Avra."
