What, no fried eggs!!
"Title is for benefit of family we met at this resort a few weeks ago. You know who you are Lenny! For the price, this holiday was good value for money. Food was a bit repetitive, however you never go hungry, the staff were very helpful, and seemed to never stop working, especially the cleaners. No complaints about cleanliness. You really need the weather to be at its best to enjoy this holiday, i.e. there is a good choice of day trips available (via free bus service) however you really need it to be free from rain to enjoy them. We were fortunate enough to have four dry days, of which we made the most off. We would certainly go back to this resort, at an earlier time in the season, when the weather is more favourable, as there are quite a few places we would have liked to visit. "

"Went last year. Was a great holiday. Food not brilliant but for a cheap and cheerful allinclusive was more than ok. We have booked again and are off in two weeks time. Was worried after reading reviews but no need to be. Waterpark i great fun, cannot wait to go back! Also recommend the boat trip excursion through thomas cook"

"were do we start well having wrote a review about our holiday last year to aqua fantasy turkey (best holiday ever)hears our review of our october holiday in aqualand corfu arrived on the monday 12.30 ish at night only 5 off us on the bus they couldnt find our room reservation(not an isolated case we spoke to a couple same thing happened to them and reading this site someone had to go to another hotel they were double booked) so after a lot of getting nowhere we were given a room told not to unpack we might be moved in the morning given a key with a huge brass keyring on it kind of thing that would pull down your shorts when you put it in your pocket ha ha went to the room 1 in the morning by now opens the door fumbling in the dark i hit a small button on came the lights 5 off us into the room shattered 1 min later all the lights go out only then do i twig what this huge keyring is for it sits in a holder that pushes a switch this is so when you leave your room you dont leave the lights on oh and you get another key for the safe so now you have 2 keys to carry about. at turkey it was to room swipe cards and you gave the safe your code and just punched in the numbers. went to reception in the morning told to come back later long story short we got to keep the room nice room no complants there ,lets talk food not a big choice 2 off us were vegatarians there were 12 choices (yes i counted them ha ha ) and a salad bar very small for the amount of people the hotel last year in turkey 2 big resturants and a good 50 choices so not so good on the food front, snacks they were cheese and ham toasty 2 toasty machins are next to the pool bar for you to use when your dripping wet not a great idea and ice cream no you cant have just cheese mabey tomorow i was told some times there was mini hot dogs and fish fingers not if it rains they shut the outside bar wich all the time we were there had a glass with a photocopy of a 100 euro note in the message good tips for better drinks mmmm so were not getting the better drinks then leaving only the reception bar and everyone goes there and not enough seats you have to play cards and watch tv if its on i asked for it to be put on for all the kids running around guess the reply mabey later i went to reception the lady came over shouted at the barman then on came the tv on a boxing channel no point again, waterpark now that was ok but if rain is forcast its closedand this is even if its a little rain health and saftey i was told mm strange as our second visit there was a guy with a chainsaw pruning the trees into the lazy river for us and for the first time you use the park every day you have to walk out of the hotel along the path down threw the aqualand carpark to the entrance give youe room number and how many are going in all the slides were great but anybody who pays to get into the aquapark also gets to use the wavepool in the hotel so sometimes on room round it for us ,we went into corfu twice dont go with first choice the hotel does a free bus at 10 and picks you up at 2.30 or blue bus outside is 7.50 euro and a taxi 20 euro corfu town is lovely but a lot of the shops sell the same thing ,as for the mini market ay the hotel ive a bigger living room 2 days notice if you want cigs always running out of things there is a small shop 10 mins walk you leave the entrance to the hotel but have only a short pavement then have to walk the side of the main road that runs past the hotel.so to sum up hotel not for me some people seem to enjoy it every body we spoke to are not going back without the park the hotel is below avarage mabey its because we had a fantastic holidy at aqua fantasy turkey last year were booked up for there 2 weeks next year so turkey yes corfu no the biggest thing that put me off the min 11 o clock all inc ends and i meen 11 i was 1/2 way threw filling i glass o coke (well they call it that )and the barman switched off the machine no its time for you to make up your own mind read this site i always do but for the same price we payed for this holiday we could have had turkey and aqua fantasy 100% better "

Aqualand - August 2010
"Corfu was nice, but hotel was not all that. My son choose it as it looked good and was supposed to have lots of entertainment and activities. This was only really true if you were an adult, or dutch. We went for 2 weeks and my son was bored with the waterpark after a couple of days. The complex was in the middle of nowhere so we could not even go out for a walk. When it was raining, the waterpark was closed so that restricted things even further. They had a hotel kids club, but it was run by a dutch company and English were not allowed to join in. There were activities run by the hotel entertainment team. These were split into kids activities and adult activities, and they were kept strictly separate (no kids could join in with the adult activities.) The problem here was that the hotel did not seem to class my son as a kid, even though he is 9. He was also not old enough, or big enough, to be allowed to join the adults so he was therefore excluded from all the activities laid on by the hotel. When we had 2 days of rain, the waterpark was closed and the entertainment team had a day off, then when they returned on the 2nd day, they were at a loss with what to do because all the activities they had planned revolved around the pool, which no-one was particularly keen on going in. The food in the restaurant did not vary very much at all. The kids meal was the same every day, for lunch and dinner, so that got really boring and I often ended up taking my son out somewhere just so he would have something else to eat. All in all, the island is lovely, but if I ever went there again, Iâd definitely choose a hotel with more life in it. It is saying something when we were often in bed at around 10pm because we were bored. The reception was often full with people playing cards so that tells you how popular the evening entertainment was. "

Great waterpark, shame about everything else!!
"Starting with the good points: Having a water park on your doorstop was brill! Especially as it's included so after getting your wrist band you can go in and out as you please! Food was nice, salad was fresh and they had some nice mains and desserts. Although the English breakfast was a bit dodgy! The rooms were nice and cleaned regularily. We were lucky are room was next to the wave pool, I don't think I would have liked being at the other side by the main road! That's all I can think of as good points sadly, here are some of the not so good points: If the weather is even slightly bad (eg cloudy) they shut aqualand! And the hotel is remote so there was nothing to do but go to a nice bar down the road. Which we ended up going to a lot as the all inclusive drinks were shocking! Really cheap beer, wine and spirits. And they use squash as mixers. I would generally feel sick after drinking anything there!! Unfortunately we had a couple days of rain. The marble stairs to the restaurant were very slippery, the staff made no effort to dry it or put wet floor signs up! Obviously I went flying! Luckily I didn't fall down the stairs or hurt myself! But I easily could have! Very dangerous! Staff were unhelpful, rude and acted like they did not want to be there! There was only a couple nice staff, the pool barman and a lovely waitress from Canada who was more helpful than any staff there or even our rep! We had an unpleasant encounter with the hotel manager. Basically, they run a complementary bus service to Corfu town and glyfida beach everyday. We put our names down on our last evening to go into town, we got all dressed up and waited for the bus for nearly an hour!! Asking the receptionist where it was, we were informed it was cancelled as not enough people put there names down. Which is fair enough that's there policy, but it was only 2 people short and they never bothered calling our rooms to let us know or told us while we were waiting for it by the reception!! The manager was incredibly rude, would not apologise and actually said he didn't care about us!! Great hospitality!! We also had a randome Greek man let himself into our room which was worrying! He could hardly speak English and just went into our bathroom to fix our shower apparetly. But again we were not told about this!! As for our rep, she was terrible! We never saw her and she was never at the hotel when her timetable said she would be! All we got was a welcome meeting, and she knew nothing about Corfu! It was like she was Reading out of a book! And a letter at the end of our holiday telling us to give her an excellent (which she put in caps and highlighted!!). Thomas cook didn't nothing about our complaints so it's safe to say I will never use Thomas cook again or go to aqualand hotel! Luckily the group of friends we went with are all great fun andwe discovered the local bar! But we were happy to go home! And the other bad reviews on here do not surprise me! "

We visited this resort in September 2008...
"We visited this resort in September 2008. The hotel is very clean and the maids change your towels everyday and bed linen every other day. The aquapark and hotel pool is great and the staff are quite friendly (apart from the stroppy lady behind the bar collecting the empty glasses). If you don't like wasps, don't go to this resort! We ended up getting stung and were constantly invaded by them! They are flying around in the dinner hall, actually landed on all the food, in the drink spouts and all around the pool area. It is impossible to get away from them! The hotel food is the worst part of this holiday. They serve up the same food every night (sometimes left over from the previous sitting) and it is always cold. The drinks are only free until 11pm, then you have to pay around â¬6 for one cocktail. This is a very remote location. Unless you are prepared to hire a car or take the local bus (which is not free may I add) you will have nothing to do. The entertainers are really bad singing a crazy song about shaking a baby?? Really weird people! They mime to every song and can't entertain at all. If you are a young couple, family or elderly, I don't reccommned you visit this resort. What a waste of money!"

"fantastic holiday, the villas were lovely. the entertainment staff were brilliant with the kids and adults.loads to do and for once the kids didnt have chance to moan about being bored.the water park was great but the pools at the resort are also big enough, there,s also the wave pool so loads to do... food was also nice, only problem was the wasps but even they are bearable.there are free buses to the beach and into corfu town. one of my children got poorly and needed a doctor and the staff were brilliant, so was the doctor. this was one of the best holidays we,v ever had and would definatly go back..."
