"Just got back from a 2 week stay at Villa Mary.
The accommodation is very basic and could do with a little up dating. Pool bar is never open!
A lovely quiet place and nice and safe for children.
Accommodation is on top of a big hill- like they say!!

Our 2 weeks at the Villa Mary
"Just got back from the Villa Mary, i would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday, we went as a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children, fantastic pool area ,veiws to die for but we found it to quiet for us! Oh and the HILL !! This was the steepest walk we have ever encountered on holiday.. About 10 mins down to the bars Tavernas and beach and about 25 mins back up!! Good for anyone wanting to lose weight !! No night time entertainment at the Villa and not too much going on in the main part either, Some very nice places to eat and some very friendly people,(Sebastiens was our favorite..)Apartments cleaned everyday which was good ,only thing u pay for is air conditioning which is 8 Euros a day, which sometimes u need...."

"Had a fantastic holiday here. Appartments are basic but clean. Fantastic views over bay. Pool bar was closed but this meant no one from outside the appartments came to use it - we practically had the pool to ourselves for the entire two weeks. Would definately recommend staying here. Only draw back is the steep hill climb back to the appartments from the town - not great if you have toddlers or have problems walking.
On final day we had to be out of the appartment by midday. We didn't get picked up until 2.30am the following morning!! There are no courtesy rooms to pay for to use so cases are left outside and an outside shower by the pool for all the world to see!! Not ideal!"

"Just returned form a holiday in Agios Gordios. We had booked in to stay at the Villa Mary, but unfortunately, our holiday company overbooked and we were put in the town centre. We walked up to the Mary to see what we had missed... it was breathtaking. Beautiful location and apartments, with scented jasmine and a fabulous view over the bay. Far better than any of the brochure pictures we saw.
Don't hesitate to book it, looks fabulous. Pelekas beach is worth a visit too, not quite so busy as Agios Gordios and great snorkelling.
Ah well... better luck next year!"

"Villa Mary was beautiful! The apartment was lovely and clean, the pool area was out of this world!!
The pool bar was not open and by the looks of thing hadn't been for a number of years. There was a pool bar at the hotel next door though which you could use if you wished.
We travelled as a group 4 adults and 1 child (2years) and 1 baby(6 months), so the very steep hill into the town was a bit of a nightmare, we stopped going down for lunch and went down for just our tea!
The little shop across the road was great, had a good selection of foods and drinks.
Overall the holiday was fantastic (if you don't mind mosquito's!) would definitely go again!"

"We stayed at Villa Mary from June 11 - 18th. What a lovely apartment, cleaned every day, wonderful views and friendly owners.
We stayed in Apartment 3 which did not have much of a view, but that did not matter (the bed was a little hard). We spent our time at the beach or at the pool. There is a small shop across the road and the cooking facilities are very good.
The hill, is extremely steep and really hard work but just think of it as good exercise.
All in all we had a lovely week away. Would I go back again. Yes! My only criticism was with Manos Holiday's, once we arrived at Corfu airport and sat on the coach, we had to listen to a long sales speech from a rep about phone cards, when we arrived at Villa Mary no one knew where to get our keys from or what to do.
So if you stay at Villa Mary, ask the rep as soon as you get on the coach where to get your key from, Manos didn't give us any information.
Other than that, do stay at Villa Mary."

"I have just returned from a weeks stay at Villa Mary, the accommodation is spotless (cleaned every day including sun) and of quite a high standard and our apartment had a great balcony and fantastic views over the pool and the sea. The pool bar wasn't open for some reason but this wasn't too bad as the nearest supermarket is only about 50m away. The resort was great and there are some excellent restaurants, Sebastians, Zefyros and Seabreeze were all great.
The accommodation is in a very quiet location, the only negative is "The Hill". My Family are young and reasonably fit but be prepared because on hot days (of which there are many!) the climb back up from the resort to Villa Mary is a killer, in fact the trip down can be dangerous too and a pack of plasters for little ones knees is a must! (The road surface is steep, worn and slippery)."

"Accommodation at the Villa Mary was spacious in the two bed roomed apartments and our particular apartment had a fantastic sea view from the large balcony. We were all lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. One downfall of the Villa Mary was the fairly long, steep climb uphill from the village and beach.
The staff we met were extremely friendly and polite and the one complaint we had was dealt with promptly. We were allowed to keep our accommodation for an extra 12 hours free of charge on our day of departure, perhaps because we were the last people in the building at the end of the season. Accommodation at the Villa Mary is cheap, basic but kept beautifully clean (cleaned daily except Sunday and sheets and towels changed once a week).
