9 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"For a warm and welcoming holiday you can't do better than this. Excellent accomodation on a sea front setting gives you the best of both worlds. Run by wonderful people who will always help you make the most of your holiday. The food is second to none and the waiters very friendly. A lovely place to sit and eat and watch the wonderful sunsets. The accomodation is clean and recently modernised so you have everything you need.
We have been visiting the resort for many years now and will never find anywhere better for a quiet relaxing holiday made all the more special by the by the many Greek friends we have made. "

"The hotel was very nice, situated right on the beach with only a 15 - 20 metre walk to the sea which was nice and cool in the 35 degree heat(the pictures on the sea breeze website are exact) and the views are stunning. All apartments, to my knowledge, have sea views which definitely makes waking up in the morning very pleasant. We had a single room which was an ok size as we didnt care for staying in our room apart from sleeping. The room has a sink, kettle, two small cooking hobs, cups, plates and cuttlery provided, a small bathroom, two single beds which were all fine but unfortunately the air conditioning system costs an extra 40 to 60 euros for the week. This added cost was definitely not welcome especially as you really need air conditioning in the scorching heat of corfu and you cant open the windows as the mosquitos will tear you to pieces!
The food in the hotel was of a reasonable standard but the rest of the resort wasnt quite up to scratch for me and my girlfriend so if your looking for good food you may want to stay on the front strip at Aghios Gordios, alternatively Sebastians is very nice.
Venturing out of Aghios Gordios is not the easiest thing to do if you dont drive, as the buses only come once an hour monday to saturday or randomly on sundays and sometimes can get overcrowded meaning you may have to stand for 30 mins as I had to. The winding road through the steep hills in & out of the resort is rather precarious as there are no barriers on the side of the road, this you will become aware of as your bus driver endeavours to safely transport you up and down it (I found it very hair raising) but the thrill seekers of you may enjoy it.
If your just looking to sunbathe then this place will be perfect for you, if however you want more fun there is the arm chair boat ride which speeds you through the water, volleyball, peddloes, kayaks and loads of shops selling cheap inflatables to while away the hours on the beautiful sea. If you want more fun you will need to go to the other resorts which is a bit of a pain in the rear.
As for Direct Holidays (our tour operator) I cant really complain too much as there rep was helpful and everything ran fairly smoothly. Apart from our arrival and departure. We arrived at 4am in a taxi and were left in almost complete darkness to find our way down a rubbly path to the hotel with our room key left in the door (we new about the door key but not about being left in the pitch black of night.) Then on departure we were left unsure of the whole process as our rep hadnt left clear details, so indepth discusions with the hotel staff were required. If your arriving and departing in the day you probably wont have this problem. We were also told that because we had to have moved out of our hotel room 12 noon on the friday (our flight was not until 2am saturday morning) we would be able to book a spare room to rest/sleep for the final 14 hours of our stay. This was actually not the case and so we had to wait around for 14 hours which in the heat of corfu is a very long time indeed and a mistake we wont be making again.
Overall the holiday was good but not a place we want to revisit. "

The Sea Breeze
"Fantastic from start to finish, Manos are excellent to travel with, everything on time and excellent transfers. The Sea Breeze is a lovely hotel and has friendly and pleasant staff, your made to feel like one of the family. It has the best restaurant in Aghios Gordios in my opinion, which others will agree as the restaurant ws always busy and I was there the start of season, it is also popular with the locals for food, The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The pool is very popular and is lovely and clean there are plenty of sunbeds and brollies, and if you get fed up and fancy the beach its but a stone throw away. The hotel could not be in a better position on the beach and only 3-5 mins walk from the main street which has several supermarkets and plenty of tavernas and bars. This is not a roudy resort but a pleasant laid back resort with plenty of amenities including an ATM. There are several car hire companies at the top of town including scooter hire, however be warned the roads are narrow and very bendy. Its that good i've booked already to return next May and I have always siad I would never go somewhere twice but i've gone back on my word."

"I am reluctant to put this on as I fear once word gets out we will not be able to get in again. An excellent holiday, so good we booked for next year whilst there in case it was all full up when we got home. Almost all the customers come at least once a year, some twice. Some had been coming for 20yrs and I could see why.
We were in a studio and stayed for 3wks. They are clean and have a lovely balcony overlooking the sea and beach. It was situated above the taverna but that was no problem. The taverna food is excellent. All the staff, the two brothers who run it, Thamas and young Thomas the waiters can't do enough for you and have a good sense of humour. I would recommend the Greek and bbq nights. We went to at least two of each and didn't tire of them. The apartments very much have a family feel about them.
The resort itself is very good, quiet and totally relaxing, especially at the time of year we went. The beach is clean and sandy, but take some swimming shoes as there is a small pebbly bit when you get into the sea at a small part. The sea was warm, lovely and clear. We had two thunder storms which were a spectacular to watch. Looking forward to next year...."

"Just returned from AG where we stayed at Sea Breeze. The resort was just right for us with a beautiful beach, not crowded, a good choice of tavernas within easy walking distance.
The accommodation in our studio apartment was very clean and had had a re-fit of kitchen and bathroom within the last year. Lovely sea views from the balcony.
Down a flight of stairs to the 2 small pools, across the taverna and down another flight of steps directly onto the beach.
The taverna was open all day for meals drinks or snacks. Very good quality at reasonable prices.
The staff couldn't have been friendlier and seemed to take an interest in every individual. Nothing was too much trouble.
Only negative was that as the nights were very hot, we would have expected a change in linen and towels during the week's stay.
Already checking out availability for next year when we hope to take our daughter, son in law and grandson.

Just to put straight the previous review...
"Just to put straight the previous review for Sea Breeze in Aghios Gordios. which is definitely in Corfu and would not be having a Turkish night!!!!
The Sea Breeze Apartments are run by a fantastic Greek family who will make you so welcome you will just want to visit again the minute you get back home. The apartments are right on the beach but also have a fantastic pool.
The food is fantastic, the views are incredible and the Greek dancing nights are not to be missed. Sea Breeze is suitable for families, singles and couples ( even grandmas and grandads like us!) "

"The SeaBreeze Family Hotel is location in an excellent location. It is about 5 minutes walk from the village where they are ample restaurants and bars to choose from.
The Sea Breeze is extremely clean and well presented by the family who own it. It has two pools and is approximately 10 metres from the beach.
The hotel offers a bar snack service during the day and has an excellent restaurant in the evening. We ate there for 10/14 evenings. Thanos is the head waiter and his friendliness is excellent.
The Greek night is a must - 1st class family fun. I am hoping to book again for next year.

"We had a fantastic holiday at the Sea Breeze Apartments and would highly recommend them. We went as our friends were getting married and the wedding was fantastic. They were taken to 3 different places for pictures which turned out amazing.
The accommodation was very clean and modern with air conditioning which was needed as it was very hot. The 2 pools are lovely and of a good size you also have the views of the mountains behind you which is very lovely. The food is very good in the restaurant; the Turkish night was fantastic we all enjoyed this. It is about a 5 minute walk into Hisaronu and there must be over 100 restaurants we never had a bad meal in 2 weeks. It is also very cheap for excursions; the jeep safari is well worth going on.
The only suggestion I would make is if you are planning a wedding out there take some of your own cds as we did, this way they will play the music you want to dance to, the wedding itself was one of the best we have been to - very well organised down to every last detail. I would highly recommend the apartments and will definitely be returning.
