Restia Suites Exclusive Resort
11 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
Haven of peace and tranquility with first class service
"Have just returned with my wife from 2 week holiday at Restia and it was without doubt the most relaxing holiday we have ever enjoyed .
From the moment you walk in you know you are in for a treat . We were welcomed by the reception staff and owner and showed round our beautiful immaculate suite - it seemed even more gorgeous than the photos which had already been put on trip advisor !
All of the staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble and the food is very good quality - the restaurant is in a very nice position where you have a great view of the sunset each evening .
The Thomson rep is very helpful also and approachable .
Three times a week there is entertainment laid on - a very good saxophonist , acoustic guitarist and singer - really relxing stuff .
There is also a spa and you can have treatments in your own room as well .
All in all , just to back up what everyone else has said - this is a beautiful hotel , run by owners who clearly have the guests interests at heart , with helpful staff ( particularly the waiters and reception ladies ) and it is so peaceful that you even hear the birds - no noisy guests or children !
Wonderful - a real credit to everyone concerned - look forward to going back !!

Relaxation in style - a little gem
"Me and my girlfriend have just returned from spending a week at the Restia Suites. We went half board and had a private pool. I must say the place was amazing.
The rooms are exactly as they are in the pictures.
You will not be disapointed when you get there. The staff are really friendly, they have British staff working the reception with Greek staff working the bar/restaurant. The staff at the restaurant/bar were so welcoming. The half board food was great. You have a choice from 2 starters (usually salds), a choice from 5 main meals (pasta, chicken, fish, lasgane) and a choice from 2 sweets. Every night there was a good variety. I would bet you wouldnt find similar standard food for the price you pay. Also, if you want to eat at the Gourmet restaurant, they will deduct 15 Euro from the bill (so you dont lose money on your half board).
Wine was 4 euro a glass, Beer 3.50 to 4 euro, Cocktails 6 Euro (which i reccomend). Bottle of wine approx 18 euro.
Service was excellent, really went out of their way to make your stay really special.
Breakfast great, good selection as you would expect. The great thing about eating was that breakfast was from 8.30 to 11.15, dinner 6.30 to 11pm. great if you want a later breakfast/meal.
The only downer was that Thomson state a 45 mins transfer time. No way! More like 90 to 120 mins. The bus went everywhere - don't want it to reflect on Restia but be warned. Some people book taxis for the return to the airport, would probably do that next time as our transfer to the airport back was 2 hours!
overall, Restia Suites was great. No problems, relaxing time. Will put up some pics soon."

"My Boyfriend and i have just got back from a fantastic holiday at the Restia Suites.(Room 104) We were in the first "batch" of British there. They had only been open 2 weeks for the Greeks to try,. It is absolutely fantastic. The owners and staff are very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. It is very clean and luxurious. We Wish we had booked 2 weeks. All the guests were raving about it. Super food too. Suites are perfect. Rooms and pools (& Beds - Super King Size!) are bigger than they look in the brochure and the double jacuzzi in the bathroom is fab! So nice to have our own private garden and pool. The Beach is a little "rustic" with some big stone slabs to get over as you go into sea, but then lovely sand. Luxury loungers, and parasols at no extra charge and its nice and quiet. Sea has some big waves which is great fun for "wave jumping" and keeps the kids away! But please Restia dont put the price up!!! Congratulations Joanna and Zafiris on a wonderful holiday experience! You have spoilt us! Cant wait to go back.

Calm in Corfu
My husband and I have just returned from a superb week at the Restia Suites. They are everything that we hoped for and more because the people who own and work there are so friendly and pleasant. Also they are intent on making your stay as perfect as they can as the owners have put their energies into developing this 'unique to Corfu' hotel. We asked what had been the inspiration and they said it was what they would want from a holiday. The prices are about the same as at home â e.g. cocktails were around 6 euros. We were on half-board and you have a choice from within a set menu every night; which actually helped us to make a choice. Portions were more than ample and you could have your half-board at lunch or in the evening. As this was purely a 'chill out' holiday we didn't venture far, as we read, swam, ate and drank basically and didn't want to come home. We walked into Archaravi which is a good 20-25 minutes; be careful as for part of the way there are no pavements. Archaravi has all the usual shops, bars and restaurants that are found all over the world. Maybe not as many 'hot' clubs for younger people but it all depends on what people want from their holiday. We went on the Sundowner trip to Corfu town followed by a boat trip around Corfu Bay and a meal at a Taverna on a little island. The transfer from airport to hotel is along windy, curvy roads which are not very wide - am grateful I'm not a coach-driver in Corfu, and takes at least 75 mins depending on the time of day. Next time we intend to hire a car for a few days, although many other guests went on various walks recommended by the owners and loved them especially to the lake which is to the right as you walk out of the gate next to the main pool. Other guests went on daytrips to the mainland and Albania too.
The actual VIP suites are great as we loved the privacy and quiet. The pools are well looked after and we could swim lengths and get some exercise. The bathrooms are huge as you can order treatments from the spa in situ. There is a steam shower as well as the norm plus the great hydro pool - just be careful that all pump holes are covered with water before you put them on - just a little warning!!!! ï You can have room service to your room should you wish (at a charge) and the mini-bar is daily refilled for you too. We just settled the bill at the end of our stay as we had all our drinks and bottles of wine added to the bill as we went along. The suites are secure as you have a front door key plus a gate key to your garden area.
The pool area bar adds to the ambience especially in the evening and the beach chairs etc to watch the sunset from the beach area. The beach is shingly but only strides from the hotel back gate.
We hope all future visitors enjoy their stay as much as we did as the tranquillity restored some equilibrium to our lives which was just what we both needed. The other people at the hotel made our holiday too as many were very friendly and chatty but not invasive. Happy Holidays to all!!!"

You Will Not Be Disappointed
"We booked a trip to the restia suites back in September 2008 after looking through the Thompson's brochure and was not disappointed. Upon arrival you are treated like royalty with all the staff extremely friendly and we received a complimentary drink of champagne and was shown to our rooms.
The rooms are probably the best we have stayed in with your own pool facility, king size bed, spa bath and steam room all completed to a very high standard. The staff and owners and very friendly and we had a small problem with the safe upon arrival as would not work and they replaced this within the hour with no troubles. We ate in the restaurant on the hotel grounds a couple of times which was excellent both for the service and quality of the food - price very reasonable also. We also tried the gourmet restaurant which although more expensive is certainly worth a try as you will never taste better food anywhere in the world and service once again second to none.
We also visited the town of acharavi via the main road route and the beach (beach is not the best you will see) and roda in a taxi ride (10 euros each way) and they are ideal for night life, restaurants, bars, etc.
This is an ideal hotel overall if you want a relaxing break and ideal for couples of any age and we have recommended the restia suites to our family and friends.
The only complaint is the transfer time from the airport to the hotel as took over two and a half hours which is not as stated in the brochure which states approximately 45 minutes but this does not take into account any other drop offs and the fact that you are in a coach not a taxi but overall however long it takes was certainly worth the wait !!"

"Returned home yesterday from Restia Suites after the most beautiful holiday my husband and i have ever experienced, we were so sad to leave and wished we had booked two weeks.
Restia Suites is ideally suited to couples who just wish to relax and enjoy the comforts of their suites, even though the sea view suite we had was fabulous, next time we shall spoil ourselves even more with our own pool. The co-owners are fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. We booked B & B but ate every night at the restraunt and the food was lovely and not overly priced. My husband and i will most defintely be returning!!
The only niggle was the transfers which we thought took to long!! the brochure stated 45 minutes transfer time, but took over 2hours!! could be advisable to look to book some other form of transfer, which would then take about 45mins to one hour. Hopefully maybe Thompsons may be able to come up with a solution to sort this out at some stage."

Wow!! what a fantastic gem of a hotel
"We arrived at the hotel on 11th May around 9pm and were greeted by Joanna (co-owner) with 2 glasses of Champagne (what a start!).
After we had registered she took us to our room(102) and showed us all of the fantastic features i.e. double jacuzzi bath, steam room/shower, four poster bed, private pool and cabana, double freeform his and hers sinks(I think that's what they are called) and lots of other nice touches. We were well impressed.
Had a great night and took a leisurely breakfast on the hotel pool terrace. Food and service was first class. We had a few trips under our own steam e.g. caught the local bus to Corfu Town which goes through the mountains and takes about an hour, and walked to the town (Acharavi) which takes about half an hour down the beach. We also had a lift one day into the town with Zafiris the hotels co-owner and got a taxi back which was 6 euros.
The definite star of the week though was the hotel which had everything you could want, great food, service and very friendly staff, not forgetting the fantastic room.
We were very sorry to leave on the 18th after only a week and wished we had booked 2 weeks.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay very special indeed.

A real haven of calm and relaxation for mind and body.
"The suites are really somthing, I dont want to spoil the suprise for all those who are booked up, but we were well impressed. The restaurants at Restia are a pleasure just to be in. The food is very good and prices are comparble to a good restaurant here. Great cocktails as well. Great pool and spa. The whole place looks great by day and
really special at night. Its made for romance, relaxation and realy kicking back and forgetting the world outside. We were only there a week and booked a couple of trips
through Jenny the Thompsons rep. We enjoyed seeing more of the Island this being our first trip to Corfu but we loved being in the hotel best. Its not like other hotels, You have so much space to yourself but all the benefits of any 5 star establishment, and then some. You can hire a bike, take advantage of the great gym (free) top tip treat yourself to an anti-stress back massage. i f you have not been to Corfu town before, book one of the trips there, its an amazing mix of architecture and have at least a coffee on the Liston. Also if your into it, take your tennis gear, Restia have a blue (yes a blue) tennis court. There is so much more to the place that everone will be able to have their holiday just as they want it. The management and staff will truly do all they can to ensure that you do. You can tell them that the couple from 103 the first week they opened sends
their regards. We can only tell you that in our experiance this was our most relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we were really sorry we hadnt booked for 2 weeks. But WE WILL BE BACK............ No photos on thecomputer as yet but will put someon later"

Best Greek Island Hotel
"What a fantatic hotel. We have just returned from a one week stay in a VIP suite with swimming pool. This is certainly a 5 star hotel, for accommodation, cleanliness, food and service. I would certainly recommend it. It is so quiet and peaceful, the only noise we heard were the sheep and goats in the field behind our garden.
We will certainly return again.
