"Hotel was fab exept one thing... the **** jealous nasty long blonde haired receptionist who rudely said to me that i looked white wen me and my partner was quering about beaches at reception we only wanted to know if there was any more good beaches bcuz we wanted to explore the island. this snotty cow turned round to me n told me that i look white with a smirk on her face. sumething tells me she sed this bcuz she was jealous that we were off to the beach and she had to work in reception while it was lovely and hot outside and bcuz im so much fitter than her :) so if you see this **** throw rotten tomotoes at her ok? thank u :)"

very chilled holiday !!
"i have just returned from rhodes staying at the lomeniz hotel, i was abit worried when i read the reviews which is why i wanted to wrtite one myself! myself an a freind have both really enjoyed our stay, there was a few other young guests which we got friendly with but most of the guests were couples or young families, the only down side about the hotel was its location, it was a good 25 min walk into town which was fine but in the evening not to good with heals on but a taxi was only 5 euros so wasnt to bad. the food was ok, its what you expect for an all inc hotel, could poss do with a microwave as wasnt really hot but was very tastey!, the staff on reception were fantastic!! they we so helpfull and very friendly, the hotel is all brand newly refurbished so very nice, clean and modern, couldnt ask for much more, there wasnt a snack bar as stated online but food is served most of the day there wasnt much need for it and i think they are still refurbing part of the hotel near the pool so maybe one there in the future. overall a really nice chilled holiday!! would defo go there again!"

"I would just like to say.....PLEASE DO NOT listen to the reviews or look at the OLD photos below! The Lomeniz Beach Hotel has recently been referbished, the rooms are new and moderen, cleaned daily, flat screen tv, fridge/freezer, comfy beds, AC (which is switched on in July) and WHITE modern bathrooms. The food in the hotel is really nice, we went all inclusive for a week and every night they had a variety of different meals...something for everyone (I am a very fussy eater as well!) The only disappointment was breakfast, the english breakfast was not the best, however there was pancakes, cereal, cold meats etc. We would often venture into the old/new town to do some shopping and find a nice place to have a proper fry up. The surronding area is a little 'under developed' but completely safe. It would take us around 30 mins to walk into the old/new town. The recepetionist can provide you with a map and advise the best way to walk. A taxi from the hotel would cost around 5 euro and a bus would cost 1 euro each way - Honestly, it was so easy to venture out!!! The hotel lacked entertainment however, I think this should all be up and running by later this year. The pool was nice and we had no problem getting a sunbed!! Me and my friend are planning to go back there in 2011, as we has such an amazing time!!! The hotel staff are really friendly and so helpful. Yes, the hotel is situated a little far out and the beach was not the best, but it is so cheap to venture and explore the rest of the island. There are so many trips that you can go on (all can be arranged from the hotel), I would recommned a trip to Lindos, water park in Faliraki and the lazy day cruise. All in all an amazing hotel and holiday!!!! Enjoy!"

"When we were planning a trip to Rhodes we were conviced with the phrases as "beautiful Zephiros bay", "beautiful see view", "quiet region", "great food" to stay in Lominez Hotel. We experienced that almost none of the above was true. The hotel was loceted in an ugly neighborhood and due to construction work going on around the hotel there was too much noise all the time. Our room was O.K., clean and the maids for the room service were very nice unlike the receptionist ladies who were really rude. In the first day, we were interested in buying the â¬15 full package including lunch, dinner and all day drinks, which sounded very reasonable bu when we tried the breakfast served we thought we were glad that we did not make such a mistake. Everything served for breakfast , even tea and coffee, was extremely tasteless and another dissapointment was no Greek food was served for breakfast. We had a nice and large balkony but the view across our balkony was garbage of the Hotel. In the balkonies there were no facility to hang our wet swim suites or towels. The beach across the hotel was not a real beach. You have to cross the road and go down couple of steps to be there, very close but almost no work was done on the beach. Lots of rocks, dirt, a broken shower and and traffic flow behind you. There was a big rock parallel to shore , seems no way to skip it. My husband got his foot hurted because of that. The main attractions of the town was around 20 minute - half an hour walking distance. It was o.k. but I believe not worthed.I would definetely like to visit Rodos again but this time I would prefer to stay in a hotel in around the Horber, not in Lominez."

Great hotel experience 5+
"Summer 2007 with my boyfriend, my sister and her friend we booked our package from domestic travel agency where Lumeniz was 4* hotel as described with chartered flight. We arrived in late night hours where the departure to our hotel was quick and the checking in the rooms was very professional and quick without any bothering. The rooms were spacious, modern, with plazma TV, A/C, fridge with supplementary drinks and sweets, the bathroom was above the expected, and the most wonderful thing was that we got view towards the pool. The hotel in overall is great however the location is not perfect, and you'll need a bike or car to go to the old part of the city, near by you can find peripteros and supermarkets and other houses and hotels. The beach is not suitable for swimming (reef, marbles) we recommend Faliraki (sandy beach, party)as top of the top for young persons. The pool was great, cleaned regularly with open bar, the food was great Greek dishes were the most deliciously prepared and served, however varieties of dishes were offer for any taste. You can rent bike and car as well by the reception book excursions, once we got our key-card door to be accidentally broken we got issued another one without any explanations. Definitely 4* hotel and I will go back for sure...To be at Rodes but in quiet section still everything near by 5-10 min walking or 3-5 min driving to the center..."

"Hotel was ok, reception and bar staff helpful and pleasant, can't say the same for waiting staff as we weren't Easern European! The room was clean and comfortable. The view was of a building, unfinished. The food lacked imagination, very little fresh fruit i.e: no fresh fruit at breakfast and if it was on the menu at dinner time, there was only one choice. On the whole not a very nice area. Would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone. Stray dogs are a problem too, hanging around the entrance area. Would definitely recommend hiring a car. Car hire is available in the hotel from an independent firm and worked out to be very good value for us as we were able to look for better beaches and areas. Definitely won't be rushing back to Rhodes any time soon!"

Nice trip-base hotel!
"Good hotel and very pleasant staff. Rooms very nice and cleaned every day. Food and it variety was sufficient and in decent quality and quantity. Offer can be describet as - English Breakfast. Hotel recommended for people that want to make trips into Old Town and other parts of the island. Very good base for trips due to short distance to town and all bus and car transpotration possibilities. Not recommended for type of client that want mainly to stay on beach and gettin tanned on sun. Beach is right acros the street but only local public beach without facilities expected usually on beaches in big tourist resorts. Good for take a bath in sea and rest a while after a day on trip around the island."

"OK if you dont want frills or need your bed to be changed to clean sheets on arrival. OKI if you dont mind crossing a dual carriageway currently in construction between hotel and beach. Area is run down and frequented by stray dogs who enter hotel pool area and wait outside hotel entrance to be fed by clients. Food geared towards Russian and Eastern European taste who are main clientel of hotel Staff are pleasant and reception staff particularly helpful"

Average hotel poor area
"A reasonable hotel in a very ugly part of town. The food was average but acceptable. Our room had a bath in it (no shower) which was 3 feet long ? I am 6 foot 3 so this was not easy. The rooms are kept clean and the maids did a good job. There was an arrangement with a local appartment block (Kathys) so they could use the pool etc which meant many hotel guests could not get a sunbed. I don't think many guests worked out where the extra people can from. The beach is 50m away but you have to cross the construction of a new sewer / roadworks to get there. The watersports consist of three pedallos which a pack of dogs live under and never moved whilst we were there. The beach is OK if you don't look around you to much. You need a bus or cab to get into town or a 30 minute walk. The bus is 1 euro and comes on the hour. Cabs were readily available and cost 4 /5 euros into town."

"This hotel is 'ok' if you just want someone to lie your head for the night. It's about a 10 minute walk to the old town and has not so nice views of building work! The room was clean however and for £40 a night you canât really complain. Pool packed unless you get there early. Wouldn't stay there again."
