Our ideal holiday
"We had a brilliant apartment, everything we needed including a toaster and kettle! The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable and the maid service was excellent. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough to make everyone's holiday special. The pool and surrounding area was kept in pristine condition. All in all, Pefkos Village is a lovely place to stay. A rather long walk into Pefkos itself but there is a small beach nearby called Ksvos with a wonderful beach bar/restaurant, well worth trying."

2nd visit to Pefkos Village
"This is the 3rd year we have came back to Pefkos the 1st we stayed at the Fillimon where we discovered the Pefkos Village Resort so booked for 08. We asked travel agent if it was possible to get same apartment as last year and were told not possible so my partner decided to e-mail the resort direct to ask we got an e-mail back from Irini confirming this was possible we were delighted as the apartment was in a lovely location and was also very private our terrace got the sun all day. The staff were wonderful again this year and nothing was too much trouble. Our toaster was broken and by the time we came back from a short walk a new one was waiting for us. The restaurant was very good the pool was clean and the bar was excellent. We have only been home 2 weeks and are already looking at coming back in september this year and may 2010. Pefkos itself is the most relaxing place had has the most stunning sunsets especialy if you eat at Annexis Taverna. We would also recommend Eleni Taverna, Enigma and Nefeli restaurants. The people are kind and always speak to you some of the locals have started to recognise us when we come back this year, i was even swapping books with the waitress in Nefeli. Rhodes town is a must as is LIndos but would give Stegna and Lardos a miss though not much to do there. "

"Had a fantastic time at the Pefkos Village. Rooms are very clean and well equipped. Friendly and helpful Staff. Drinks and food in bar/restaurant are good and reasonably priced. Only bad point is location which is a good walk from centre but easy at night just hot in daytime. We don't mind walking but hired a car to make trips to the beach easier. Pefkos is a lovely resort with a good choice of bars and restaurants. The colisseum was a particular favourite."

Loved this place
"Had a fantastic time here, couldn't fault it. Me, my partner & son went here in June 2006, in the week the apartments first opened and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would definately go back."

"My wife and I stayed here for a fortnight 19/09/07-03/10/07. We're in our very early thirties and have been to various Greek islands before. We really loved our stay here. It ticked all the right boxes for us. The accommodation was well above what we expected for Greece. We had a 1 bedroomed apart/studio, with a seperate bedroom, seperate living area and very modern kitchen. Both the living area and the bedroom opened onto our very large balcony. This is definately a place to chill and unwind. The staff are absolutely excellent, so friendly and are always happy to help. The weather was well into the 90's each day, though I do believe this is higher than normal at this time of year. Food was very good, as good as we ate all holiday/ The resort of Pefkos is about 15 mins walk away, nice and easy! There's plenty of bars/restaurants in Pefkos, and enough going on for all ages. Lindos is a 5 min taxi drive away, about 7 euros, and this is definately worth a visit. If you are thinking of visiting here, just book it!"

I recently stayed at the Pefkos Village ...
"I recently stayed at the Pefkos Village Resort with my boyfriend. Having previously stayed in Pefkos (but at the Marianthi), we knew what to expect from the resort itself. When booking we were intending to try and rebook at the Marianthi, however the prices were really high and therefore we looked elsewhere. After reading excellent reviews of the Pefkos Village resort, and its low prices we decided to book. We were welcomed on arrival in the middle of the night by the manager who gave us a refrigerated 2ltr bottle of water and he showed us to our room. We were given a 1 bed room apartment, instead of the studio we booked. The room was excellent: 2 single beds (but they were easily pushed together), bed-side cabinets, dressing table, and wardrobe. The bathroom had small bath with shower, toilet, and large sink. The kitchen area had an extra bed, and dining table, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, and cupboards which were stocked with rockery should you wish to cook. The whole apartment was spotless, my only gripe was that they didn't seem to mop the floors the whole time we were there and this brought in a few ants, but they didn't particularly bother us. The window in the bathroom had mesh on it, which allowed us to keep it open and not let flies in at night while the lights were on - this meant we got a lot of air in the room as we didn't pay for aircon- but this was available. The hotel pool, bar, restaurant and shop were all excellent too. There was also the availability for internet access. Pefkos itself is a wonderful resort with a beautiful sandy beach. However, this was quite a walk from the hotel, and especially the walk back is uphill (if you take the Philosophia shortcut). You can take a shortcut through the gardens of the Philosophia (an excellent little restaurant for lunch when on the beach) which is signposted from the main road which means that you don't have to walk down to the main beach road and you enter the beach at its best point. You do have to get there quite early to get a sunshade, one day we arrived at 11.30 and there were none left. Overall an excellent holiday. I couldn't say this was better than the Marianthi as they were both excellent. But if I went again I'd go to whichever was cheapest!"

What a welcoming sight coming in from gr...
"What a welcoming sight coming in from grey England - beautifully lit pool, palm trees, the open bar and friendly Gabriel. David met us at Reception and escorted us to a large apartment giving us all a helpful run down of the Pefkos Village Resort - shop, restaurant and bar opening times, pool etiquette and how to get electricity in the room (and in the hairdryer in the bathroom - what a luxury!). The rooms were very large - kitchenette with fridge, microwave and hot plate and equipment and a very large veranda to chill out in the early evenings after a taxing day at the pool or sightseeing. The slight slope to get to the main road encourages you to get fitter - and the 15-20 minute stroll into town and the main beach - but it is much easier downhill on the way back (or the taxi rank at the main Lindos junction). Alternatively Reception were exceedingly accommodating by calling a taxi to take you in. You are also in easy driving distance to many of the other resorts (Lindos very nice for gift shopping) and the main roads around the island. If you don't want to make the effort to go into the main strip of an evening then you have a choice of walking to one of the local Tavernas - Kavos Beach Taverna at the top of the beach (small cove with sunbeds - not easily accessible to people with walking difficulties but very pleasant), Nikolas or Eleni - all with very nice food and local soft drinks and wines. Would definitely recommend eating at the Resort too - the food was excellent throughout the day and Kip and Gabriel made the best lattes on the island - recommend the Kleftiko although you may have to book it in the day before as it is very popular and our waiter Tsambikos was always a pleasure to talk to. The hotel puts on entertainment for guests - the bbq came highly recommended and you have the option of joining in karaoke too! All the guests were friendly and there was a complete mix of families, the four singing Scottish women, couples, and singles. All in all it was a very nice change from reality back home, the whole family were very friendly, and we would definitely recommend the resort to anyone interested in visiting Pefkos."

Great week here.
"Spent a fantastic week here in early September. The accommodation is really excellent and seems to have had a bit spent on it in recent times. All the staff are very frendly and the resort itself is a short distance from the centre ( 15 - 20 Mins) which made for a plesant walk into town before going out for a few drinks and a bite to eat in the evenings. However, if you don't fancy a walk into town there is still plenty to do in the hotel ( good bar and good food) as well as a couple of Tavernas around the hotel. We would recommend Nickolas' Taverna, however, Kavos Taverna was fantastic. Great location on the cliffe above kavos beech and the food was amazing, especially if you like fresh sea food, I even got to pick my own fish. By the way, if you get car from Avis make sure you tell the Taxi that it is in Lardos Beach as we were told it was in Lardos by our rep and spent a very confusing hour trying to track in down, we eventually had to get another cab to take us back."

A++++++ much better than the brochure
"We stayed 22/8 -5/9 in room 104, a 1 bedroom apartment, it was modern, with maid service everday except Sundays and clean sheets every other, the bathroom had bath & seperate showers. kitchen with new appliances and microwave. The TV had english programmes so ideal for the kids. The whole complex is extremelly clean and the pool was never too crowded with sun beds available throughout the day, if you wanted the shaded ones then you had to get up early. The restaurant provided a good selection and we ate there 5 nights and most days for lunch or brunch, the food was very good. There is a little beach about 5 min walk away although no sunbeds, but very safe for small children who loved it. Eating out I would recommend the Greek House or the Nicholas, The Nostalger was OK. The glass bottom boat trip from Pefkos to Lindos return is well worth 18 Euros. As is the Waterpark in Faleraki. I would also recommend getting a taxi from the airport and back as it saves time. What makes this complex the best we have stayed in for many a year, had to be the Staff all were so friendly and helpful especially Tsambekos, Kim and his dad the Chef who helped us alot on quiz night. Lee are Rep was brillant and nothing was too much trouble. Many Thanks to you all. We will definatly go back so if you have chance go."

"Well I have just got back from pefkos village resort and every one was right about how good it is.After arriving at the airport and having to wait the usual 1 hour to get the suitcase's we decided to get a taxi to pefkos instead of the coach, its 4am and we didnt want to be on the coach for 2 hours,so after a chat with the taxi driver about price ( 45 euros, should be 41 but thought it was still price ) we arrive at pvr about 4.45. to anyone who has been to pefkos but not PVR, you turn right at Nicholas taverna and just follow the road round for about 5 mins.We were greeted by Dave who does the night shift reception (man 54 hrs ) who was very helpful in explain everything , i.e A/C, key , pool, bar etc. One thing you can do is ask for a second key ( credit card type ) so you can leave a/c on , charge camera batteries etc whilst you are out. So Dave takes us to our apartment which was a 2 bed, but on arrival it was more like a house. We had room 111 which has double bed with walk in cupboard, bathroom with seperate shower, bath with a shower as well as a good size sink, full size living room with single bed plus sofa that could sleep 2, dining table ,kitchen with fridge , freezer, toaster, microwave, teapot etc. Then you went up stairs when our son slepted and he had his own bathroom, sitting room with tv and two single beds plus balcony. Check out the photos that i have put on. So after packing and getting a few hours kip we ventured down to the pool , which was a good size. Now this is only going to the bit where i complain ( no fault off the complex ) , some people have said that is plenty of sun beds, well not really in august. This was due to the BRITS wo decide to go down at 8am and put their towels on and then leave them for 3 to 4 hours before the deicided to show face at the pool. This was sorted out when Kim ( bar man )took them all off one day, some people complained ( tough ) but it put a stop to it. Right back to the good parts, I have mention Kim who was a good bar man, then you Tsambikos who is the waiter (top guy and good for a laff i.e karoke ) then his older brother gabrillo who ran the bar at night who a great laff, also little brothe Skevos who works in the shop, you also have the chef manolis who is Kim's dad. We eat at the PVR for half our hols and could not fault the food for quality and price , also our other favorite taverna was Terpis which is in the centre of pefkos. My son and I spent a lot of time at Kavos beach which is about 5 mins away , not as big as the main beach which has the water sports etc, but a nice quiet beach. loungers were 4 euros each and a lot of beach to see ( specially if you take some bed ). We tried Kavos a couple of times , its a nice taverna but can get breezy ( food goes cold quicker) All in all it has been the best holiday with have had which was due to the complex but mainly the staff. Also every body who stayed there seem to mix well with each other, so Gary ,Patsy and sophie if you are reading this , it was a pleasure meeting you. I can go on a lot more but will leave it at that, so if any one has any question then please get in touch. Tony,Gill and Gavin from Carlisle p.s . i hope my photos come out ok."
