"We went for a week in october. The hotel we booked closed early and they moved us to the Lindos bay hotel, how lucky were we! The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. the staff were very friendly and helpful and the choice of food was the best I've had to date on a Greek island! I don't normally cope well with Greek food, love the islands, but always seem to lose weight when i'm away, but not this time! Plenty of variety and you could eat as much as you wanted. On the days we wanted to go out in the evening, they allowed us to have a lunchtime meal in place of the evening meal, so we never paid for more than one meal a day! the hotel is right on the beach with it's own private beach, so a beautiful location. Lindos is a short taxi ride away, which is ideal, as lindos itself is beautiful, but can be buy with tourists, especially in the day. If you ant a nice secluded location, but with places within easy reach, this place is ideal. I would recommend this place and we intend to go again."

"Hotel was great - comfortable, spacious, air-conditioned rooms, food was plentiful and a varied choice for breakfast and in the evening. The choice is continental, so for a finiky child like my youngest teenager - it didn't go down too well - we found Pizza Hut in Rhodes Town one evening, so she ate well then. Evening entertainment was OK. There were a few interesting acts - drinks from the bar were expensive - better to buy water from Hotel shop."

"I have just returned from a weekâs holiday at the lovely Lindos Bay Hotel and it was everything and more of what we were expecting. I can honestly say this was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at whilst travelling to the Greek islands! The hotel is classed as 4* and I totally agree, the rooms were perfect, immaculate and cleaned everyday. The air-con was amazing and was a great escape from the scorching 40-degree weather!! The 2 pools outside were perfect and view idyllic and I would recommend absolutely anyone wanting a relaxing holiday to go here. We got a really good deal through the first choice website and being on half board worked out so save us so much on spending money (esp. with the euro being the way it currently is!!) Breakfast was a huge selection of fruit, cereal, toast, breads, hams, cheese, doughnuts and occasionally fresh crepes...dinner was also full of allsorts and was always fresh and varied. The big bonus was that if you wanted to go into Lindos in the evening for your evening meal you could swap your dinner at the hotel for lunch! (Make sure you ask for a token at reception the day before) This meant we only ever paid for one meal a day whilst we were there which was great... The hotel although named the Lindos Bay I need to be clear and say that it was not on the main Lindos bay but on Vlicha beach just a 5 min cab ride form Lindos (cost approx 7-10 euros)...do not attempt to walk as due to the long windy hill and scorching heat it would take an hour or more (no joke!) and you would pass out from the heat!!! I can honestly not find enough good things to say about this hotel and would be glad to recommend it to my closest friends and family...hopefully I will be back myself some day!!!"

"Hotel accommodation was superb in both public areas and hotel rooms as it has recently been refurbished, and no problem getting a sunbed by the pool, even as late as 9am and lots of beds on the private beach. The restaurant however resembled a works canteen with tables too close to each other and overzealous waiting on staff removing plates as soon as they could. The food quality and selection was poor and tepid (as it is in most Greek hotels). Some nights we had to queue to get into the restaurant! We ended up going into Lindos and eating there. Lunchtime there was an outdoor restaurant and the food was slightly better. It was impossible to get drunk as the drinks seemed watered down. Indeed, when we went out and had a drink, it caused an immediate effect. The animation team catered mainly for the Germans, as is usual in Greece. We understand that next year the hotel is changing to half board and will have two a la carte restaurants outside (hope they get better chefs!) It was such a shame that the food and drink let the hotel down so badly but on all inclusive it is such an important aspect and this hotel just failed badly to supply it."

"Just spent a week at Lindos Bay hotel. Lovely rooms big and spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and food was good. The only let down being the entertainment was very poor. We spent 6 nights out of 7 in Lindos town, as there was nothing to do at night and the bar closed early. Ok for those who like early nights but not so ok for those who like to stay up and have a good time. The bar closed about 11pm. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"Recently refurbished, it is a stunning hotel. The rooms are very up to date, as is the whole hotel. we had a wonderful two weeks there, my husband and I. The hotel was fully booked and busy but we had no problems at all. The staff are friendly, and as it was my husbandâs birthday 29th Aug - provided him with a bottle of wine in our room and presented him with a cake - wonderful computer info!! The food was varied and first class. At the pool bar we even had water on tap, various pops on tap and tea and coffee readily available, ice cream too - bless the all inclusive band! We intend to return - though rumour has it that they may not be all inclusive next season."

"Fantastic hotel just outside Lindos. Rooms large spotless. Bath and shower. Food plenty of choice to a very high standard. Drinks good selection. Pools, beach, clean and safe. Animation team, well this is what lets it down, untalented and useless. Why do hotels bother with these imbeciles, but donât let that put you off, you will love this little gem of a hotel like we did - superb. Taxi into Lindos centre 10 Euros 7 Euros back or you can use sister hotels bar at night closes at 0100 just across road the Lindos star. Lindos bay bar closes at 2300 on the button, night life very low key. But you get a good nightâs sleep. Enjoy."

"We have just arrived home after spending 10 nights in the Lindos Bay Hotel, with our 2 year old daughter and it was also my first time abroad. First of all, rooms were really really good, cleaned every day, air conditioning was limited throughout day and night but was sufficient. The view was fantastic of the surrounding mountains and sea. We stayed from 9th September expecting it to be a little cooler but it still exceeded 45 degrees on our first day so be warned! As soon as you step out of the hotel the heat kind of wipes you out. We were advised we were closer to Lindos Town, when infact there is no way you could walk there in that heat over a gianormous mountain! Taxis quite expensive and only 2 buses a day one at 9am and one at 4pm which were always about an hour late! Secondly, the food was not good. It was unimaginative, boring, had the same funny taste to it day after day and did favour other international dishes rather than English. Our 2 year old pretty much lived off grapes and cake for 10 days, and we both lost weight being there. All the staff were lovely, even if half of them couldnt understand a word you said! The bar and entertainment was ok, kids disco didnt start until 9pm, followed by bingo or Mr Lindos Bay etc which was funny but everything ground to a halt at 11pm - even the free drinks (which were not good either) became chargable. Overall we would definately go into Lindos Town again as we both fell in love with it, but would NOT stay in this hotel. Do take extra cash as we did not budget for not liking the food or drinks and ended up spending a fortune on taxis into Lindos to pay for quality meals."

"Just got back from a girls Holiday in the Lindos Bay, we had booked for the Lindos Star however when getting to our Hotel at 6am, was meet by the Receptionist at the Lindos Star who handed us a letter which stated that they had over booked us, so we was upgraded to the Lindos Bay still however on a HB, which was great, the Hotel it's self is very nice, the rooms where cleaned every day, however we did end up with a camp bed which was a bit disappointing but fine, only ate Breakfast in the Hotel, did have a evening Buffet once which was average. We knew it was a taxi ride into Lindos every night which is 15euros return 9 out and 6 back the 3euro's extra on way out was a call out charge, we did walk into to Lindos once up the cliff's (goats looking at us strangely) took about 40mins, 2nd time cut through the Lindos Mare and got a bus from the top road 1euro on bus into Lindos, there is two buses a day from Lindos Bay at 9.15am and 4.30pm and one into Rhodes town at 9.30am, waited for the 9.15am bus one day it never shown, there bus services is known as maybe! All in All it is a great hotel for couples and Families on AI, as we were HB it was easier for us to go into Lindos and eat and drink. Great Holiday, but I Love going to Lindos"

Lindos Bay Hotel - August 2006
"We had a two week stay August 2006, two families of four in four twin rooms. We were allocated 4 rooms away from each other (although on same floor). There were some negative points but in general we all enjoyed our holiday - beautiful views from the hotel (both sea to the front & stunning mountainside to the rear so no need to pay the sea view supplement). Hotel overlooks a large clean private pool & the pebbly beach is 30 seconds from the hotel lobby & a further 30 seconds to the sea, which is stunning clear with fish swimming close to the shore. The rooms were basic in content but very clean and adequate for the purpose (sleep, shower, change). The air con took a bit to get used to (noisy). Food in restaurant was varied and wide in choice, lots of meat, fish, pasta, vegetarian options - to suit everyone. There is a poolside bar (tea, coffee, alcohol, rolls, ice cream burgers etc) 10 - 5. Main bar in hotel 5 - 11 doing drinks, tea, coffee. Local alcohol fine. Entertainment during day fine (darts, table tennis, boules, water polo, football, volleybal, aqua gym etc). Evening entertainment left a bit to be desired but fine for kids (& adults when you have had sufficient of the locally produced alcohol which was never in short supply). There was one speciality act per week padded out with audiance participated games. Entertainment staff very pleasant & multi-lingual, but oh so financially dependant upon selling music cd's, t shirts & bingo tickets - they were round every day pushing them to the extent of being irritating. All the staff were increadibly friendly (waitresses, bar staff, entertainment, chef and manager). On the final day the manager showed us around two rooms which were in the process of being upgraded for next year (2007). This was a much higher standard if they are all done this way. Lindos, with the famous acropolys, is a half an hour hike over the mountainside or a five minute taxi ride. There is a shop on site (gifts, snacks, cigs, papers), a supermarket and a village shop 5 mins walk away. Would we go again - yes. Temperatures 30-40 degrees so go prepared. We were warned of mosquitos but never experienced any. Thanks Lindos Bay Hotel - the positives far outweighed the negatives."

If you've already booked Lindos Bay, do NOT read this review
"Hotel stay 23.8.06-30.8.06 The cleanliness of the Hotel was was one of its stronger points. Each morning the chaimbermaids would be found scubbing the hallway carpets and the rooms were always left immaculate. The animation team were lively and bubbly, always on-call and worked extremely hard to entertain the Hotel guests with what appeared to be little or no resources. The evening entertainment, although like Butlins abroad, was nightly, live and broke the boredom. To be fair to the Animation team, they were young, enthusiastic, and really tried their hardest - with some real characters making our stay much more pleasant than it would have otherwise been. It is a shame the regular staff couldn't manage to do the same. The gentlemen behind the bars and reception were rarely found with a smile on their faces and made you feel as if collecting an all-inclusive drink that had already been paid for was presenting them with a genuine inconvenience. The canteen - i refuse to refer to the room in which we ate as a restaurant - was a sham. After only 36 hours all of the food looked and tasted the same. It was repetetive, unimaginitive and totally unenjoyable. You even had difficulty locating cutlery. Boistrous and loud, politesse was completely lost in this room as the league of nations that were there to eat pushed and shoved in an effort to pile their plates, apparently oblivious of everyone else around them. 'All-inlcusive' is a very loose term to be used in collaboration with this Hotel as at eleven pm everything grinded to an abrupt halt. The all-inclusive, that is. All drinks became chargeable for and even the pool table (which incidentally costs two euros per game at all times) was even closed. Throughout the day, the 'snack' bar served a scant selection of unappetising dry rolls and bread containing wafer-thin slices of 'cheese' and 'ham'. However if you did not fancy thoses there were always the lillput-sized hotdogs and frankfurters. Yum yum. In conclusion, we were eager to return home to see a happy face and enjoy a decent meal. Never before on an all-inclusive holiday has the family, all five of us collectively, returned home to have lost weight. This to be fair though was NOT due to a lack of food. If you are looking for a hotel where they take your money upfront and then you stay on a take-it-or-leave-it basis (mainly leave-it...) This Hotel is waiting for you just a four hour plane ride away. This has unfortuantely spoilt our first experience of Greece and shall not be returning to Lindos Bay to repeat the ordeal. One very VERY dissappointed family."
