"Booked this based on reviews and was not disappointed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The whole complex was spotless. Apartment (1 bedroom) was very very roomy. Food excellent, service excellent. Supermarket next door owend by the same family very well stocked and good prices too. Pefkos itself is lovely, fab beaches. The glass bottom boat trip to Lindos is a must. Local buses very cheap and air conditioned! Loads of restaurants fave ones Blue Bay, Nostalgia, Terpsis.... But to be honest we did not have a bad meal at all. Can't wait to go back"

Brilliant Holiday in great apartment complex!
"My partner and I have just come back from spending a week in Pefkos and wanted to write this review straight away cos it was such a great, relaxing holiday. We chose this apartment complex after reading other reviews and were really really pleased with it. We had a two bedroomed apartment right next to the pool and the reception area. The beds (and pillows) were comfy and we had a patio area (rather than balcony cos it's on the ground floor) with table and chairs. The only negative thing I can say about the apartment is that the kitchen/diner area was very dark and we didn't spend any time there - fine if there's just the two of you and the weather's ok to sit out. Also, we didn't have a toaster but other apartments did so we should have requested one. Air conditioning was fine for 55 euros for a week. Staff were brilliant and really put customer service in this country to shame! The cleaner came 6 out of 7 days, changed beds and towels twice a week. The complex is run by a family and you can really tell because they care about your comfort. They also run the supermarket next door which has everything you can want including the usual necessities such as Tetley Tea bags and Galaxy chocolate! The bar staff in the Palm Beach bar really made the holiday for us as they were such fun. We didn't want to go far on an evening and didn't need to. The restaurant was ok with a mix of dishes but don't expect the usual meat and two veg. The Greek version of vegetables and potatoes is quite different and we did find the food at this restaurant a bit disappointing. Pefkos is relatively small but has everything you can want. The beach is 5 mins walk from the apartment and there are numerous restaurants and bars with a wide range of food. One restaurant in particular to go to is Spitaki's especially if you like fish. Watch out for the many stray cats that come and beg for food though. You can travel to Lindos for 6 Euros each way in a taxi. We also booked to go on a jeep safari through our holiday rep and it was a brilliant way to see more of the island especially since we'd decided not to hire a car. The guys took a party of tourists in 3 land-rovers around the South of the island to parts a coach couldn't reach. It was a lot of fun and should you the real Rhodes. This is the best holiday we've had and we found it difficult leaving. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone."

We Will Return !
"We booked the Pefkos Beach Hotel through Portland Holidays on reccommendation from the Trip Advisor Reader Reviews which were all giving EXCELLENT reports of this hotel and resort and I must say were completely CORRECT. We were delighted on arriving at the hotel and our room was BRILLIANT - all refurbished new for this year with great attention to detail in the choice of furniture, fabrics used, colour schemes, low voltage lighting and the modern interior of the bathrooms, also incorporating a small kitchen area with a fridge. (Air conditioning available for extra cost) We had a BB package but I believe it will be all SC in 2007, although you can purchase a cooked breakfast at a very reasonable rate at the poolside bar/ taverna. We can also reccommend the Nostalgia Restaurant on site which offers a great variety of dishes at reasonable prices, having an open air upper level dining area with a view over Pefkos and a large projected screen providing on screen entainment. The Hotel, Rooms and Grounds are spotless clean and being a family run establishment, everyone and staff are happy to please. The pools are lovely especially the lower level shaped pool by the cocktail lounge bar where service is available from 10am to midnight everyday. The hotel is set on a hillside with a very steep walk to the rooms affording fab view of the sea and sunset, keeps you fit! We considered this hotel EXCELLENT value for money - we were not quite expecting this higher standard of service and quality, as it was so reasonably priced, but once again TRIP ADVISOR REVIEWS were correct on helping us choice a great hotel and resort. We can holiday three or four times a year generally at 4* upward hotels and we will return here to Pefkos Beach Hotel in the near future."

best views in pefkos
"stayed at pefkos beach oct 06 have to say it was one of the best apartments we have stayed at it was a bit of climb to get to our room but we knew that when booked so had no complaints the room we had .had recently been refurbished there was plenty of space with a double bed and 2 bunks lots of wardrobe and draw space. air con was available if required at a cost of 55 euros aweek we found if we left the balcony door open slightly at night it was comfortable .the complex itself was quite big. 2 pools and a childrens pool .i found the pools fairly cold due to the time of the year /the gardens were lovely .well looked after i found the bar staff at the lower pool more friendly than those at the top pool.all in all i would recommend this hotel to anyone the views from our balcony was worth the walk up the hill .the steps up the middle are the easiest way to go. the 2 banks are hard going if you go say hello to george at the palm cocktail bar he was great steve and carol mackie"

Fantastic Brilliant Hotel
"BRIALLIANT! I stayed at this hotel from the 13/09/06 - 27/09/06 I went with my aunty , uncle and my cousins and her baby we had a fantastic time! There are so many good things to say about this hotel I don't know where to start, I had a lovely room (302) clean very big and spacious with a gorgeous views of the hotel swimming pools and a fantastic view of the mountains and all from stepping out on to the balcony, all rooms have a tv with sky channels ( not that you want to stay in to watch it there is to much else to do ). The restaurant in the hotel is called Nostalgia and we found it the best restaurant around and ended up eating there almost every night .. you can also order food from the pool bar untill 5pm which also really nice food. There is a GREAT atomosphere in both the bars in the hotel and a very welcoming feeling you can sit there for hours and you could never be board! The swimming pools are great there are 2 bigs pools and 2 smaller pools for the children which is good. The staff.. well what can i say they are FANTASTIC they are so friendly and welcoming they always have time to help you out if you need anything and nothing is ever to much for them, they all make the effort to talk to you which makes it all that much more personal and welcoming, I didn't really get a chance to thank them as much as I should have because it was so sad and emotional leaving and I was in tears so I left pretty quick..but THANKYOU TO ALL OF YOU, you all made the holiday a brilliant one and it was nice to meet you all can't wait to come back! This really is a wonderful holiday and I can't wait to book for next year which we are doing asap! I am missing it already and I have only been back 1 day! You can't get it wrong with this hotel guarrented a excellent a holiday! WONDERFULDON'T MISS OUT! Sarah, Portsmouth."

what a fab holiday!!
"We stayed at the Pefkos Beach Hotel from the 2nd to 16th Sept 2006, the hotel was lovely and clean and in a fantastic location My big tip would be to ask for a quiet room as we had a room away from the pool which was very peaceful and we wasn't disturbed The rooms around the pool seem very noisy as they had night entertainment on 2-4 nights a week The breakfast is a nightmare stale cornflakes or bread cheese and ham We had breakfast at the Oasis which is a pool/bar combined which is fanastic for sunbathing and great value for money the food is fab The beach is 8 euros a day for 2 loungers/parasol which can work out expensive The best place to eat in the evening is Nostalga which is next door to the hotel the food and drinks are great i can highly recommend the sangria!! we hired a car for 60 euros for 3 days bargain and went for a wander st pauls bay is a must for any beach lovers and there is a small italian next to it which is lovely for a different dining experience (if your bored of Greek salads) We stayed for 2 weeks and had the best time great value for money aircon is 55euros per week fridge is 15 euros 30 euros for safety deposit box (2 wks) worth a look pefkos is a lovely resort with plenty to do and see"

Great place to relax and get away from it all!!!!!
"My boyfriend and I (both 23) went to the Pefkos Beach Hotel this month for 2 weeks to get away from the stresses of Uni before we both started for our final years and this hotel and resort were perfect for this. Our first impression of the hotel was that it looked like the nicest hotel in the resort and was immaculately clean! We chose to stay in one of the self catering rooms (room 504). Our room was perfect; very clean, all brand new furniture and kitchen equipment and had everything we could want. There was a small kitchen space with fridge, hob, sink, kettle, toaster and lots of cupboard space and all the kitchen equipment we needed to cook basic food. Then off the kitchen was a large room with a double sofa bed and storage, then though the double doors was the main bedroom which had 2 single beds, loads of storage and mirrors and a large tv with sky channels! There was also a large terrace which looked out into gardens and had then sun from about 2pm until sunset! All the staff were very helpful and were more than happy to advise about local attractions, buses etc. The hotel had its own restaurant, pool bar and shop on site which was excellent. We didnt rate the restaurant but it depends what you like. The food felt mass produced and was quantity over quality was compared to other restaurants was expensive for what it was (3 courses each and a bottle of wine was 65 Euros, cheap but not in comparision) We spent a few days at the pool when we couldnt be bothered moving very far which was nice as it was a quiet time of year so wasnt too busy but the horrendous music wasnt too good when you are trying to relax (lots of George Micheal and "golden oldies!") but it was very clean and warm and had lots of free lilos for everyone to lol out on. Also, there was always lots of free sunloungers (there are 2 main pools and a lovely kids pool). The resort overall was great for what we wanted as there was a lot of restaurants (some excellent ones and some not so good ones!), a cake and coffee shop across the road from the hotel, had 4 great beaches (8Euro a day for 2 loungers and an umbrella) and wasnt too far from the busier resort of Lindos (6Euros in a taxi or 1.20E on the bus) and meant we could just chill out, eat, relax and recoup from the last 5 years at Uni! The only down sides to the hotel were that we didnt realise A/C would be extra at a cost of 110E for the 2 weeks which we couldnt have lived without and the beds were 2 singles pushed together which we had the tendency to slip down the middle of and slid apart in the night! I would recommend this hotel to families and people looking to get away from it all!"

Only the breakfast was grim
"This is a great hotel for self catering but don't go on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast is identical every day - sliced ham, sliced cheese, three jams, two white breads, coffee and grim juice and some unspeakable unnamed cereal. You can top up with something cooked, but at a price. If you have mobility problems also avoid this hotel. Apart from that, we had a wonderful holiday here. The resort is fairly quiet and the hotel has limited entertainment and 2 swimming and one paddling pool - perfect for us. The restaurants in the hotel and resort are generally excellent. We would return - on a self catering basis."
