Don't Go!

Reviewed 11th June 2012

"Just back from 7 night stay. No air conditioning! Room was excruciatingly hot all day and night! Even with the blind down, curtains closed balcony door open and noisy electric fan on! Result was covered in mosquito(?) bites all over. Am now thinking could be bed bug bites from the very dated bed, carpet and curtains and covers!!!!! NO HOT WATER!!! Although reported daily, was told that 'for security reasons!' the boiler must not be heated any higher and pumps to rooms from the basement! Also, sandy in colour when it leaves the taps! Mini fridge? We complained that it was not working and an 'engineer?' came, pulled it from the cupboard it was in, turned it upside down and explained that there was no motor in it to provide any cooling system! TV? No English speaking channels available except an American channel showing shares prices? All inclusive does not provide bottled water, only a machine supplying water tasting of chemicals! Only local wine & beer provided that you help yourself to and soft drinks that do not taste of anything recognisable! Coffee machine, again tasting of strange chemicals and often out of order! Food?! Very basic, luke warm and apart from salads and bread hardly edible! Snacks were in the form of 15 bread rolls and some dry cake! Entertainment? None! At 10am & 4pm a very young Italian girl who could not speak any other languages would wander around the pool asking if you wanted to ‘do gyn!’ (think she meant gym, but no-one ever took up the offer so she just sat around for half an hour with the same cd playing quietly!) In the evening, the ‘barman’ played a cd at the pool/snack bar for people who found the rooms too hot to spend any time in!!! Outside, the view from the pool area was lovely! However, the sunbeds were old and uncomfortable as was the too hot to walk on wooden decking surrounding the whole pool area! On arrival, the receptionist told us ‘lovely hotel, very relax, no panic!’. We were not given any ‘welcome pack’ with information except for local bus timetable and meal times! There was no info on emergency procedures or even fire exits! The whole hotel is very dated and unwelcoming! Staff not helpful! Couldn’t wait to leave! "

Only a two star at best

Reviewed 21st September 2011

"We have stayed at a lot of all inclusive hotels over the last few years, and this rates as the worse one we have ever been in. Where to start.Good bits. The veiw from the room was stunning.Bad bits. The room as stated on other reviews was very dated and the floor was only cleaned once during our one week stay.Normal lemonade was only served from one dispenser that was situated in the main dining room wich was locked from nine thirty in the morning until lunch and then from two thirty until six thirty in the evening No cocktails could be had until six oclock in the evening. the guy serving the cocktails was the most unpleasant bar man i have ever met who never spoke or smiled once all holiday at anyone. The choice of meals was limited to salad, same every meal and about three choices of main corse ie fish chicken and another meat not very tasty at all, we ate out five nights out of the seven we stayed. There was one waiter who moaned about guests and his loss of pension because of the greek situation all week.Just had a thought the breakfast was not bad, the lunchtime meals were basically repeated every day same salad as dinner, cheap pitza cheap cuts of meat and chicken. Before i forget this is the first all inclusive we have been to were you have to provide your own towels. If you want to lay on the beach (pebble beach) wich we did every day because it was so hot it will cost you three euros each daily for a sun bed. If the weather had not been so brilliant this holiday would have been a complete disaster. This is the first time i have ever written a review but i had to warn anyone who was thinking about booking this hotel. We will be staying at the Atlantic Imperial next May after having a look round during our stay. "

The rooms are excactly what a resort must have, food was absolutelly delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have already recommend this hotel to friends and family and we are thinking of going back this year again. "
