"Just got back from Esperides Family Resort Hotel with the family yesterday, and all ready wanting to go back. The Resort is big and has more than enough to entertain the kids for a week. The baby & kids pool was fab and the other 2 were not too deep for the older kids to swim either. Animation team were around often asking you to join in their games of volleyball, water polo, pool gym, and many more and which kids could join too. They were a very friendly team, and very entertaining at the evenings with a variety of different shows. The Kids club was excellent, merry go round, bumping cars, bouncy castle and loads of activities going on. The only problem was that the kids could come and go as they wish, so for kids that’s in the age of ‘exploring for them self’s, this could be a bit of a problem, however if you explain to Suzanne the head of the club that they are not to be allowed out until someone picks them up, she’ll make sure they don’t leave. Next to the kids club are 2 waterslides, and a pool with a climbing wall, which adults can also go on. The Aqua park (water Park) is straight across from the hotel and if you ask in reception to book for the next day they will give it for half the price, as it is owned by the resort (a bit of a hike up to the entrance and back down to the kiddies corner, but well worth it for half the price). Also on arrival voucher for on free entry for the Magic Castle is given, this is also across the road. Sadly we had no time to take the kids but would will sure to be going next time. Adults are free whilst kids are about 6 euro, full of games and rides. Sun beds on the beach are free and the Pedalos also. All kinds of water sport are available on the beach for a reasonable price. For those that experience rainy days, the indoor cinema and play area will keep all the family amused. Hotel was VERY clean, cleaning maids were all over the hotel 24/7 even on the main road into the hotel and all were very pleasant. Beds, towels and bins were changed daily. The food was amazing, I felt as if I was in the restaurant or the tavern more than anywhere. All different kinds of food, morning, lunch and evening. The evening meal was often a themed night such as Greek, Chinese, Italian, etc but also had different food to suite all. Displays made of vegetables and fruit are made up each night in the main restaurant, which is a wow factor in its self. I will be defiantly recommending the hotel and can not wait to return there next year. Best family hotel I have been to so far. "

"just got back from the esperides and want to return already! it is just the best hotel to take your children to, there is a special area which has the kids clubs, bouncy castle, water slides, carousel, bumper cars, slides, climbing frame, sand pit, popcorn, candyfloss etc. my daughters aged 3 and 6 just loved it. there are 4 pools, all with free sun loungers and free loungers on the beach, though the beach isn't up to much as it is shingle and course sand. the rooms and hotel are all spotless, the maids seem to work 24/7. we found the food to be of a very good quality, though the children did struggle a bit, but the pancakes every morning were a big hit, though not keen on the cereals on offer, so would advise to take their favourite with you. the family rooms are all in the annexe, which were modern with hairdryer, safe (30e for 2wks, tv (1 english channel) and fridge that had drinks in it on arrival, but not filled up again. the animation team were marvellous, i am not one for joining in, but before i knew it i was doing aqua aerobics, playing french boules and having a lot of fun doing it as well! they provided the evening entertainment, which both adults and children enjoyed, and other guests from the nearby hotels also used to come in to watch the entertainment as it seemed to be the best around. on the downside, we had a night flight and had to pay 60euros to keep our room on, which i thought was a bit steep, but the children needed to sleep so there was no other option. saying that i would definately return, but get a day flight next time. if you are going to this hotel, you will have a great time "

"Just got back from a 2 week holiday to Parque Santiago IV apartment complex. Usually go all-inclusive but decided to try self catering. What a mistake - I will never do that again. The prices were ridiculous for ice-creams and juices. Don't get me wrong the apartment and complex was spot on very clean and large spacious apartment - actually 2 apartments for the price of one! Lots of sunbeds and parasols - much more than any other complex I have stayed at. I was there with my husband and 2 sons and eating out each night averaged between 60 - 75 euros for main meal and one set of drinks. Only other small complaint was that my 16 yr old son was bored as there was no on-site entertainment during day or night and no sporting facilities. Not a fault of the hotel though - my fault for not doing my research. I would recommed the apartments for people who are looking for a good central base and those not bothered about on-site entertainmentt and spending all their money - just not for me or my family. "

"I and my family had the most fantastic time at this hotel when we were away for a week at the beginning of October. The rooms were great with the added bonus of sliding doors for extra privacy, only downside was the air conditioning was switched off halfway through week, and it was still very hot. There were three pools, a climbing wall pool, and 2 waterslide pools which were fantastic for the kids. The restaurant was very large with a wide variety and choice of food and of a good standard. We had lunch every day at the taverna by the pool which saved you having to go get changed. The ice creams and juice went down a treat with the kids, plus there were sandwiches, pizza, cakes on offer at selected times. Also free popcorn and candyfloss between 4 - 6 pm. There was also a cinema showing films twice a day. The entertainment was typical holiday fodder but fine for what it was. There was also an arcade and games area for the kids. This place is a dream for families with kids of all ages, so much so, that we have booked again for next October. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. "

"This holiday was my 7th time at this hotel and I still love it. We are booked up for July 30th and I can’t wait for it to come. The rooms are cleaned everyday and are left so clean, you could eat off the floor! The animation team are amazing. I love this hotel because it is great for kids and also great for teenagers who want to go down Faliraki because it is nearby. Fun for all the family. Anyone that doesn't like this hotel must need there brain testing. It is amazing. "

"We had two weeks in this hotel Aug through to Sept. What a great place to stay. Different pools and bars, right on the beach and, food throughout the day from 6 a.m to 12a.m. took our son of 5 who loved it. We were smack bang between Rhodes and Faliraki. Bus rides into both towns every 10 mins which were cheap or get a taxi. Also took day trip over to Turkey with Sealines. This company offers the best deal for day trips so check them out. They are based all along the front. Just call into one of the beach huts and they will get hold of them for you. All in all a fantastic holiday and would recommend it to anyone."

"Fantastic holiday. If you have kids its ideal and Adults will enjoy just as much. 2 water slides, Bumper cars, carousel, bouncy castle, Popcorn and candyfloss all part of the all inclusive deal. Animation team were excellent, always busy, and very friendly. Plenty of entertainment during the day and evening with mini disco for kids. Food was good if just a little repetitive. Hotel has a good shop/minimarket if a little pricey but if you go left out of the hotel it’s a five minute walk to a small shopping centre. The waterpark is a ten minute walk up a steep hill but it’s a must and you can easily spend a full day there. Location right on the beach and only a five minute taxi ride away from Faliraki and 15 minutes from Rhodes town. Do the Banana boat safari which kids will love on the beach in front of the Hotel. Hotel very clean the cleaners seem to work round the clock and staff are very friendly and obliging. Weather last week in September was excellent 27c to 30c 81f to 86f with cloudless skies. Never a problem getting a space round the pool but was told its very different in July/August when its much busier and the restaurant staff struggle in peak season to serve everyone so if you want a more relaxed and not too hot holiday, it can get to 43c in the height of summer go if you can a little out of season. Rhodes airport is chaotic and I would recommend pre booking your return seats if you want to make sure you sit together. Only 30 minutes transfer time from Airport, some brochures say 90 minutes not sure why unless it takes a lot longer at the height of summer. Careful with what you put in your suitcase as a few passengers commented how harsh the baggage at Rhodes was treated. I can understand why quite a few people go back to this hotel and it certainly lived up to all our expectations."

"I thought the only downfall of the hotel was the food. It was rather repetitive but we didn’t have any problems with sun beds, we got up at 9.30 every morning and always found a good sunbed which was in sun and shade during the day . The animation team were fantastic, I wish I could have stayed in contact with them as they were all great to talk to. I would recommend the hotel and go back again if they had more choice in the taverna and restaurant, instead of the same things all the time. "

"Please don’t let some of the other reviews put you off!!! We were there Aug 05, its got to be one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. We enjoyed it so much we go back next Wednesday! I expect it will be a bit different because its now all inclusive - we cant wait - yeah you have a bit of a fight to get a bed, but then again just pull one over from the grassy area, its not a major issue. 1 night a week the entertainment team had a night off, so we popped into Faliraki then the next week we went to Rhodes Town. Other than that there really was no need to leave the hotel of an evening - 10 out of 10 for the entertainment team they were there to entertain you night and day. We met a couple from Newcastle and another from Liverpool, its was their third time at the hotel - what does that tell you! As and for lack of shade?? There’s plenty of brollys. Even our holiday in Thailand in Jan 07 didn’t knock the socks of this holiday! There was plenty for the little ones to do, he was 5 at the time, now he's so looking forward to going back - its safe and friendly for the kids, what more could you want. The beach isn’t great a bit pebbley but nothing to moan about. A good all-round holiday. You'll find 95 percent good reviews for this hotel, hardly any bad ones. "

"We have just returned from a fortnights stay at the hotel esperides and to say that I am disappointed is an understatement! After all the good reports I had read I was really looking forward to going as was my husband, two daughters who are eight and eleven and my brother and his girlfriend. The hotel itself is beautiful as are the pools. We stayed in the family room which was really nice and clean the maid comes every day and the staff are all really friendly. On a good note the animation team work tirelessly and they put on some brilliant shows at night we really enjoyed the entertainment! The downfall is the food it becomes really repetitive and they mostly cater for the Germans as the majority of visitors were German. We felt outnumbered by them by about 80%. Their local beer isn't up to much! The beach is not all that brilliant and some of the rocks can be quite dangerous so if you are going with young children be careful! We went to the beach at Faliraki it was much better and it only cost a couple of euros in a taxi. You have to pay for sky TV but if you turn left at the entrance of the hotel after about a five minute walk there is a little shopping centre with some bars that show sky sports. If you want to get a sun bed you will have to be up early as we saw Germans putting there towels out at three in the morning!! After the first week we were bored and wanted to go home as there was not much to do after the first week as you have done it all. I think I went with my expectations too high and I don't think the hotel lives up to it's rating but that's only my opinion, if you are going this summer good luck with the sun beds!!! "

The animation team, well what can I say the best thing about the hotel, Jonnie, and the team where fantastic! Fire show & the fun, brilliant. If you are going this year see some of the shows as they will not be there next year, watch out for the chicken! "
