Absolutely fabulous! Book it now!
"These apartments are second to none. I have stayed in Greek accommodation in the past and nothing can compare to Kevin and Sally's. They cannot do enough for you. They pick you up and drop you off at the airport, they provide tea, coffee, sugar, spices (home grown oregano included), they even cook up a marvelous Greek bbq for you on evening. The apartments themselves are faultless. They are decorated beautifully, spotlessly clean, air-conditioned, all the facilities you would have in your own home. Rhodes is a fantastic island and I did not have enough time to see all that is there. History, numerous beaches, shopping. Afandou village is not untouched by tourism, but it hasn't lost its 'Greekness'. The people are friendly, especially if you try to learn a few phrases in their own language. The nightlife is is reasonably quite, but if you wanted nightclubs etc, Faliraki is only a 5 minute drive away. I would definitely recommend hiring a car and exploring the island. I cannot stress enough how good these apartments are, call Kevin and Sally now before they're full!"

THE CASTLE FAMILY - AUG 2008
"Our family stayed at the Afandou Village Apartments in early August this year. After some research on the Internet into precisely where to stay and where NOT to find ourselves in the midst of noisy drunken Brits (and others), we found Afandou village. Tucked away off the main highway about a mile in from the coast, it appeared to offer all we were seeking and a search of available accommodation of the type we needed soon brought us to Kevin and Sallyâs little place. A phone call from the UK to Rhodes and Sallyâs invaluable assistance at that time in arranging everything was all that it needed to convince us to we had made the right choice. Our flight touching down in the middle of the night, despite our having a hire car booked at the airport, both Kevin and Sally were there waiting for us to assist in transporting all our cases (they would definitely NOT all have fitted in our own car!) Following their jeep to Afandou, we soon discovered another reason why we needed an escort. The apartments were tucked away on the edge of the village, down some very narrow and winding streets in a very quiet residential area. Upon opening the door to our suite of rooms, we had difficulty in believing that these were actually ours! It was literally a âhome from homeâ!! Our hosts were British themselves and certainly knew what their guests appreciated! Proper cooker, British washing machine, TWO bathrooms and toilets, comfy settees, an indoors and an outdoor dining area, a barbeque, COMFY beds, a fridge and cupboards stocked with everything we were conceivably likely to need for a day or so and a book they had put together indicating all the tourist attractions in the area! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. A day or so after we had settled in, we were invited up to their own apartment (which turned out to be a tiny room on the roof â but with all the amenities!) and, in a nocturnal vista overlooking the town, enjoyed a very substantial open-air barbeque. One evening, I had an unfortunate accident when leaving the beach and it was at first suspected that I had had a stroke. Kevin insisted on driving me all the way to the hospital near Rhodes Town, where I received attention. (It turned out to be a severe cartilage strain â but I couldnât move properly for days â weeks even â afterwards. Anyway, my eternal thanks to Kevin for showing so much concern!) Every day, we visited a different historical sight or kidâs attraction and the days usually ended on one or other of the dozens of beaches we found. Afandou beach, although not the most spectacular, ran for several miles and proved to be the quietest by far. We had every single facility to cook for ourselves, but decided to eat out every night and Afandou and the surrounding villages proved to have excellent and very friendly restaurants at reasonable prices catering for all tastes. The description, â5-Star Accommodationâ would not do justice to this little gem â we only hope Kevin and Sally are still here if, and when, we decide to return to the island! "

"My wife and I have just returned from a week at Kevin and Sallyâs apartments in Afandou and what a great holiday it was. The accommodation, based on our experience of Greece, has to be classed as 4 star. Everything you need, even down to plug in mossy guards and night lights. Hosts, Kevin and Sally, are just brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and you come away feeling youâve known them forever and are best of friends. Afandou â if youâre looking for a tourist hot spot maybe this is not for you. In early June there were few tourists about but the villagers are very friendly and welcoming. A real Greek treat. There are plenty of comfortable bars and tavernasâ so eating genuine Greek style is easy to do. We didnât have a single bad meal and would recommend Theoâs and Eleniâs but Sallyâs barbeque beat the lot â what a cook!! Oh yes, and Kevinâs pretty mean with the hot coals too. Summing up â a terrific location, terrific accommodation and terrific hosts. Weâll be back "

"Best holiday accommodation we have ever had in Greece. This was our second trip to Sally and Kevin's but won't be our last! It is a bit like having a timeshare without the hassle! We went with a group of 16 people (one couple were celebrating with Silver wedding) and Sally and Kevin pulled out all the stops to get them a trip out to sea on Nico's boat -Monachos Monachos - from Kolymbia where they renewed their wedding vows. The whole 10 days was a whirl of events, great meals at Theo's (highly recommended) and terrific accommodation with Sally and Kevin. Can't wait to go back again. The village is very unspoilt and untouristy, the people are very friendly and welcoming. We had drinks in Neonâs during the day and ate virtually every night at Theo's. We were met at the airport, and taken back to the airport after our holiday was over. Magic! "

"What a great holiday we had here! The apartments are brand new and of a very high quality, especially for Greece! The owners are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area. They have thought of every tiny detail imaginable to make sure their guests have an enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable holiday. When you arrive you will find a folder they have put together with information about the village and the island of Rhodes. The owners collect and drop you off at the airport and allow you to stay on in your apartment on the day of departure (as long as no one else is arriving at the same time). There is no charge for the air conditioning in the rooms and you can even flush paper down the loos!! The prices are extremely reasonable too. I would really recommend this place for both those who haven't yet been to Rhodes and those who are revisiting this superb island. My top tip is to hire a car and go exploring!"

We have just enjoyed a wonderful holiday...
"We have just enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Rhodes, staying at the Afandou village apartments run by British couple Kevin and Sally. Afandou was a great place to stay being different to other holiday destinations; it was a traditional village and not your usual resort with tacky tourist shops and poor quality food. Our apartment was beautiful, clean and very well fitted out with everything you needed. Kevin and Sally were extremely helpful and met us at the airport which we thought was very good for us being older independent travellers The apartments are well situated only a short walk into the village centre, yet set on the edge of the village and so nice and quiet. To get to the beach we were able to use the little train that runs from the village square. We particularly enjoyed eating at Danielle's where you could get a pizza for 2 people and drinks for under £10. Great value as was most things in Afandou. Just down the road from the apartments we were able to catch a bus to Rhodes Town and Lindos. We have some great memories of Rhodes. We would recommend Afandou Village Apartments to anyone and particularly to first time independent travellers, as the help and information that Kevin and Sally gave us ensured we had an enjoyable holiday."

"We have just returned from a three week break in Afandou Village Apartments. The apartments are run by Kevin and Sally who go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable. They are always on hand to provide help and information and have an extensive knowledge of Rhodes. We found this invaluable as they were able to recommend the best beaches and restaurants. We visited places we would not normally have found if we had stayed elsewhere. The apartments are very nice, beautifully done, and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had a lovely kitchen area with more than enough equipment to cook with. There was a nice barbecue area at the back of the apartment and a table and chairs where you could eat your meals or just sit in the sunshine. The location of the apartment was ideal as it was a few minutesâ walk into the village and only a thirty minute walk to the beach. The bus also stops in the village regularly and we found this service to be excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anybody, and have in fact advised friends of ours about them who have already booked their holidays there."

My/Our Holiday Opinion, Arrival/Apartme...
"My/Our Holiday Opinion, Arrival/Apartment. This being our first family holiday in Afanduo Rhodes, was set off to a very good start. By the fact we were collected from the airport by the owners (and taken back to the airport at the end of the holiday) at no charge. Then whilst on route to the apartment we were advised of nice places to visit on route. On arrival at the apartment, we were shown around. Which is best explained as very homely, clean and inviting. With the additional point that you have Air-Conditioning that is included (at no charge). A nice patio area with BBQ, Table and Chairs. Also the owners Kevin & Sally, had put together a nice information brochure for the visitors. We also found once settling in a small welcome pack of milk, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, biscuits and water. Which is always nice, as we could relax on arrival. Before venturing the area. The Resort/Area We found Afanduo Village, a lovely place to sit, eat and drink. The locals made us welcome. A few of places to eat or drink in Afanduo for startes are 1. "Theos", excellent food and character. 2. "Neons" - Good food and friendly. 3. "Mikes" - Good food and friendly. With a road Train from the town centre to Afanduo beach if you did not have a car (cost 1 euro !!). Which is very nice and relaxing. We found this a very nice place to stay. As we could travel from here by either Bus or Car to other places with ease. With a lot of things to do locally also. On a final Note - A great holiday and place to stay. "
