Best holiday ever
"The staff at Akti Dimi's couldn't be friendlier. The hotel was suitable for the elderly, children and the younger crowd. It's a two second walk to the beach and 15 minute bus ride to the airport. I would reckonmend to anyone."

Just Want Your Cash
"Unfortunately booked 2 holidays here in 2009 because heard it was good, believe me it isn't. They are interested in 1 thing only here, getting their hands on as much of your money as they can. Have you ever been anywhere where they provide 1 Toilet Roll for a 2 week holiday then you have to buy your own!
After our first visit they promised us a room in the same block (upstairs) on our return. When we returned they didn't even remember who we were and we got a downstairs room on the other side of the Hotel!
They have a barbeque every week and every time they see you they ask have you bought your tickets yet, asked us 6 times - then they wouldn't give us any food until we showed them the ticket!
Fancy chilling by the pool in the afternoon - forget it you will get Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits, Crap Disco and Hip Hop blasted at you out of the speakers. We think this is so you will get so sick of it you will go over the road to the beach and use their Sunbeds - which (of course) they charge extra for.
Will never go back BUT Tingaki is a great place just stay somewhere else and go in The Red House Blues bar every night - Best Bar in Tingaki"

"This is an excellent hotel/apartment in a great location. It is literally 20 metres from the beach with a first class pool as well if you can't face travelling that far.
Staff are really friendly and all speak first class English. Nearby highly recommended restaurants include Esperos and, if you turn right outside the hotel and travel 2000 metres (a bus can take you there), you come to Ampelis, a great restaurant in a vineyard that makes its own delicious wine.
It's about 800 metres to Tingaki town centre where excellent bars include Kivotos with Theo, Spiros and Billy being great hosts. We've been going there for past 10 years and now our daughters go back there with their own boyfriends.
Its only drawback is the size of the rooms. They are small and basic - but spotlessly clean. All-inclusives in the Caribbean have spoilt us! Highly, highly recommended though.

"Akti Dimmys â Itâs so good, they keep coming back!
Weâve just returned from a fantastic two weeks holiday at Akti Dimmys, Tigaki.
Weâre a family of four, with two children aged 7 and 13 yrs, and this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays weâve had.
Akti Dimmys is an ideal base for families, groups or couples to explore Kos and is within easy walking distance to the main centre of Tigaki where there are some great restaurants and good souvenir shopping. There is a small but well stocked âsupermarketâ 40 metres away for bottled water and other provisions.
Akti Dimmys has a good swimming pool with a shallow pool for young children. 20 metres away across the road is a lovely narrow sandy beach, with spectacular views of the Turkish coastline which is only 8 miles away.
The apartments are very compact but comfortable and the bedding and towels were changed every day, bar Sunday. Once youâd mastered the art of the small shower area, and become accustomed to the air conditioning (â¬30 for the two weeks) the rest was a breeze.
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally hospitable and friendly; in particular Christos and Athena who both made everyoneâs holiday with their kindness and good humour.
The most resounding endorsement of Akti Dimmys is the many people who return year after year, often with their friends and neighbours, because they enjoy it so much! Akti Dimmys is very much in demand, so the message is, âbook quick to avoid disappointment!â

You can't go wrong here.
"Friendly staff and clean apartments offering all you need food and drink wise as you sunbathe on the beach or the pool. Beach is only a walk across the road and the walk to the main street is about 5 mins, supermarket is next door making Atki Dimmys a fantastic base for a relaxing holiday. Booked relatively late so got good price and overall can't complain. Standards we're above usual basic Greece and staff were really pleasant. Would recommend to anyone, as I said you can't go wrong at Akti Dimmys or Tigaki."

Perfect Family Holiday
"We had a fantastic family holiday at Akti Dimmys.
The accomodation was everything we needed, don't go expecting 5 star it has a 2 star rating for a reason, but the rooms had everything we needed and the room was only used as a base and somewhere to sleep. The rooms were clean and of a good size, the balcony was one of the biggest we've had. The shower room is a little awkward but we learnt to adapt.
Now as for the hotel itself the facilities are perfect for families. There is a shallow pool for young children and a bigger pool for the adults, the pools are perfectly adequate for the size of the complex. There were plenty of sunbeds to go round and people didn't feel the need to put towels down to reserve them.
The hotel served food during the day and the quality was superb and not expensive.
There is entertainment twice a week, which was much fun and the bar runs every night till late, the cocktails were lush.
The staff were very friendly.
As for the rest of our holiday, our flights with my travel were great.
There are plenty of restaurants in Tingaki, for evening meals, esperos was especially good.
Kos itself is a fantastic little island, just right for families wanting sun, sea sand and some peace and quiet.
I recommend a visit to Kos town, this is a more bustling resort than Tingaki. Also recommend a 3 island boat trip.
All in all brilliant, we will be going back to Akti Dimmys next year."

"Just got back from Tingaki, and had a great time.
I have been to Greece 6 times and to Tingaki 3 (this being my 4th) and I can say that the apartments are basic and clean (similar too what I have stayed in before)
If you want air con (and if you go in July/August I suggest you do)then you have to pay approx 70 euros for 2 weeks.
The staff are cheerful and everyone spoke English apart from the chef and they all go out of their way to ensure you have a relaxing time.
The snack bar is clean and their burgers are to die for, a varied menu is on offer with Greek and English food.
The pool is adequate and is very welcome after a hard days sunbathing and the sea is literally across the road.
Also the pool toilet and showers are clean and very handy if you don't want to pay 30 euros to keep your room on, you can get showered and changed there.
Be careful if you hire a scooter or quad from the guy next door as I felt that he ripped us off, however it is a good way to see the island.
Restaurants are littered along the sea front with Esperos being good value for money, Meni is very nice but be aware it may take you a while to be served and also get the bill. Be aware of Dana and O'neros as I felt that they were ignorant and not very customer focused.
Trips to go on... Paradise beach is a must; Kos town is great especially if you go to the old town. Turkey (Bodrum) is interesting if you have never been before... also the sunset at Zia is very nice. But as I said earlier the best way to see the island is by quad. We hired them for 2 days and found the driving easy going.
All in all a very relaxing holiday, would I go again, no, but that has been my 4th time to Kos and I think I have seen all I want to see.
Would I recommend, then I would say yes.

Better than expected
"Just got back from Kos and enjoyed every minute of it.. here i am sat at my desk, at work thinking of what i were doing this time next week.
The Akti Dimmys... a very friendly place to stay, the staff ensure that your holiday is relaxing and stress free.
Would i do there again,,, NO,, but thats because i have been to Kos 4 times and its a big world out there,,, i can understand why people go back year after year.
Would i recommend to a friend,,, Yes.. the pool is just the right size, the snack bar menu is a mixture of greek and english and the location is just right,,,,
Any body how books here will have a great time..."
