The Monkeys chunkees!
"Great location just 20 min walk out of town. Good bike hire at Moto Dave next to hotel - 3E each for push bikes, cheaper than using bus. Hotel just off bus route so no problems getting places. Rooms cleaned daily by charming staff. Hotel provided basic breakfast (we stayed B and B). Very friendly staff, clean and bright surroundings. Excellent pool for swimmers - over 3m deep in one end. Not fantastic for kids, although deep pool brought on my 4yr olds swimming as he had to swim. Pool bar reasonable serving an excellent frosty Amstel, great homemade burgers and greek salads. Kos town fantastic, with plenty of restaurants etc. Fantastic holiday on a super island. Kosmar rep very inexperienced so booked all trips ourselves, having great boat trip on the Kalypso, found in Kos marina, visiting 3 Islands and jumping off into crystal waters using boats water chutes. This worked out at 50E for 2 adults, 2 kids with restaurant lunch. Kos waterpark is also cool for kids/adults. Excellent all round with such friendly people."

Fab last minute holiday!!
"We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Iris and had a fab time. We stayed in the studios opposite the pool & snack bar and we were very impressed with the overall standard and level of cleanliness. They were very spacious with a nice size balcony. As already mentioned by other reviewers, the maids came six times a week which meant that we had fresh towels every day (except Sundays). It was just far enough out of Kos town to be able to walk in if you wanted more night life. Although we found the few tavernas near the apartments to be extremely good value for money & the food was excellent. (Particularly the Garden BBQ which is opposite the apartments & Omerta which is down to the main road and turn right and it's the 3rd taverna on left hand side). We will definitely be returning, hopefully later in the year and would just like to finish by saying a big "thank you" to Minas, Costas and the rest of the family for their helpfulness and friendliness which made our holiday so enjoyable.... Special mention to minas from Hazel!! . thanks for the malibu xx But big mention to all. Michael,Irine, minas, savos and costas, you were all great. The hotel is very clean, nice bar. The pool is very deep but great, very clear. The pool bar is great fantastic food courtesy of Minas, try the breakfast mmmmm . We will definately be going back for another holiday. Kos itself a beautiful town. Recommend the 3 island cruise, book at the boat it's a lot cheaper, A couple of mentions to the two best restaurants . Tony,s italian on the front going to town. absolutely fantastic food and a friendly, funny host, we had a scream, mention to the girls too Rose and Engela? Thanks guys Best greek restaurant.. Fanos behind the four roses "real" greek food. Yannis will spend time discussing what foods you like and dislike to prepare the perfect meal. Overall we had a fantastic 2 weeks the people are friendly and the island is beautiful. 10 out of 10"

"We stayed at the Iris apartments from 6th -13th October. The weather was very good, boiling hot every day, it only rainined for a few hours on the last day but that was ok. We stayed in the apartments which are nice, clean and tidy. The pool is nice, cooling and very deep!!! It is about a 25 minute walk into Kos town, but it is nice as you walk past the harbour and losts of bars and restaurants along the way. I would recomment you eat in Zorbas family restaurant, we did, 3 times in a week, it was packed every night. It is at the top of the old town, though lots of nice little streets with loads of shops and bars to stop in along the way. Minas was a great host....the apartments are family run and they are great, really frielnly and helpful..you won't be disappointed if you go there. e mail me if you want to know anything about the apartments."

What a fab place - the apartments are sm...
"What a fab place - the apartments are small and compact and poolside and basically they do what is says on the tin (Brochure). The guys and gals at the supermarket over the road were fab and very helpful. The staff at the Iris were falling over themselves to help you and the bar staff were very helpful with some other pickier residents. Kos Town is beautiful and I would live there if I could. The trips organised by the rep were good value and well attended and the day trip to Bodrum was a treat. Kardamena is a hellhole and glad we didnât stop off there for long. You can rent a car and do the island in a day Zia is gorgeous and the Heraklion is very interesting. What a relaxing time by the pool - lots of loungers and umbrellas. The apartments were well appointed, clean and the bathroom / wet room was fab. We booked a room in the hotel for our early am pick up and this was just as nice as the apartments. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

Iris Apts are the best!
"8 of us have just returned from the Iris Apartments in Kos. What a holiday! Definately recommended for couples in particular. Minas and Kostas made us so welcome and we had LOTS of fun at the pool bar! Cocktails are second to none! Apartments were fab and cleaned every day. Are all going back next year! Location perfect. Just outside the town but still near everything. HIghly recommend the taverna across the road for meals."

"We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Iris and can't wait to go back.....We stayed in the studios opposite the pool & snack bar and we were very impressed with the overall standard and level of cleanliness......As already mentioned by other reviewers, the maids came six times a week which meant that we had fresh towels every day (except Sundays which, understandably, is their day off)......From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by the all the family who own & run the hotel.....On most days we enjoyed breakfast over at the pool-side snack bar where Minas served up some lovely food, which, contrary to a previous review, we found to be very reasonably priced.... We will definitely be returning, hopefully next year and would just like to finish by saying a big "thank you" to Minas, Michalis and the rest of the family for their helpfulness and friendliness which made our holiday so enjoyable.... Iris Aparthotel, Kos Town - Great Stay
"We stayed at the Iris Aparthotel just outside Kos Town in September 2006. It is a beautiful location and Kos itself is fabulous. We stayed in the apartment block of the complex and had a great room with balcony overlooking the pool. I think we probably got the best located room in the complex. The room is spacious and clean, and serviced every day. The bathrooms in Greece are a bit strange to Brits - no shower curtain and a drain in the tiled floor - takes a little getting used to. Have seen many reviews on other sites, saying the staff are so friendly here - maybe it's just us, but we found them to be quite grumpy, particularly the oldest man who seems to be the owner. The sons were not so bad. The rep from Kosmar, who we travelled with was a bit ditzy, booked us on the wrong dates for one of our tours, but sorted it out in the end. Kos Town is about a 20 -30 minute walk away along the sea front. The Old Town is lovely, great for a drink and ameal of an evening. The ferry trip to Bodrum is worth it - if only to "do" Turkey. The restaurant across the lane from Iris, I think called the Garden is wonderful - so nice to sit outside. The pool at Iris is VERY deep! Maybe not suitable for young children. Always a sunlounger to be had at any time of day. The pool snack bar is good, but a little expensive. Would definitely return to Kos, and probably to the Iris. The boat trip out to see the sunset is a must - SO romantic! A word of warning about Kosmar - flying out on a Saturday night from UK, about 5 or 6 flights arrive at once - and the staff simply CANNOT cope. We sat on a coach for almost 2 hours before they even thought about taking us to the hotel - in the middle of the night, this was not ideal! We landed around 2am and did not get to our hotel until 530am - so try another flight time if possible!"

Good standard apartment
"We stayed in the Iris Studios in Kardemena, Kos for 1 week in September 05' and loved it! The apartment itself was very, very basic but it was clean and you could live in it. Clean sheets and towels were delivered twice in the 1 week we were there and the cleaner came in every day to clean the apartment and replace toilet rolls etc. The room had a small kitchentte and all rooms had a balcony which was good. This isnt 5 star luxury, but it is a good basic base to stay, if like us your out evey day travelling the island and basically only going back to the apartment to sleep. Kardemena itself was fantastic. Lots of resturants, pubs, clubs, bars and shops to keep you happy. I felt very safe walking round the town in the evening and the harbour is very pretty and pictureresque. Food prices were reasonable as were drinks, lots of buy one get one free's which were good! Plenty of oportunity to travel around the island with excursions to almost every part of the island. We went to Kos Town, which was really pretty and beautiful, Zia at sunset, which again was lovely and Tingaki, which has a fantastic beach. All in all, a good place to stay and good resort for a fantastic holiday. Would recommend, Iris Studios, Kardemena and Kos to everyone."
