Kos Aktis Art Hotel

Hotel for Grown Ups
"We have just had an extremely enjoyable holiday staying at this hotel. Our first impression was 'wow, fabulous' and that did not change during our stay. Our room was very comfortable and had everything, and more, that we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Being virtually built on the beach the impression from our balcony and room was that the hotel was built on stilts in the sea. The views were marvellous. there was always something to watch from the balcony at the port, on the sea or in the marina. Everything worked in our room, the bathroom was modern, spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely, buffett, quite a lot of choice and lovely and fresh. To give an idea of the quality of the rooms, the wardrobes had lighting inside that came on whenever the door was opened. We found all the staff to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is nothing at the hotel for children to do so there are hardly any children staying there, making it ideal for couples wanting peace and quiet!!. I definitely will book this hotel if i go back to Kos for a holiday. The hotel is very modern so if you are looking for quaint it is not for you. The position is ideal for sightseeing and restuarants etc being within easy walking distance of most."

"I have just returned from a week at this hotel and it is a fantastic place, but let down by the unhelpful reception staff.
The location is great, right on the beach, but Kos town does not have any nice sandy beaches so a bus ride to the other resorts is needed.
The rooms are lovely and all have sea view and as it is east facing you get a lovely sunrise. Cleanliness was good and the chambermaid excellent.
Breakfast is buffet style with good selections but one negative point smoking is permitted everywhere and eating surrounded by smokers is unpleasant. On the other hand there are tables outside so that you are not surrounded by smoke."

Fantastic location, views & service
"We stayed here Sept 07 for 5 nights and absolutely loved the Kos Aktis Art hotel. Rolling up the blind to allow the glorious sunlight to stream in through the floor to ceiling glass windows on a sunny morning is as close to heaven as I've been for a while. You feel like you are on the water as you look out over the ocean.
Contemporary decor, absolutely spotless, great service (I am a real stickler for that), lovely breakfast. Great cake/dessert place next door. Small pool & sunbathing area if that's your thing.
Far enough away from Kos Town to escape the frenetic atmosphere there in the height of summer, but close enough to wander in in 5-10mins to experience all Kos Town has to offer.
Staying here has, for me, raised the bar on what I will tolerate in the future. It wasn't expensive for the standard offered (I think we paid about £70 a night).

"Wonderful contemporary hotel!!!
We stayed in a suite for 100 euros, but there is probably no need to pay up as the regular rooms at 75 euros are perfectly roomy. We had two single beds put together as a king. The breakfast had hands-down the best croissants we had on the entire trip.
Minor quibbles: instead of a shower curtain, they use a glass shield that goes only half way and water could get out onto the floor. Also, for whatever reason, the toilet needs at least a good 15min break in between flushes.
This is probably the best hotel we stayed at in the greek islands in terms of good value - decent rates, large and very modern rooms and a great location. Fantastic."

A fine hotel
"The hotel is located in the town of Kos, right on the beach. Traffic noise has not disturbed us, we went to sleep in our comfortable king-size bed on the sounds of the waves of the Aegean Sea. The hotel is located next to the Albergo Gelsomino (where the tourist office is), just a few minutes walk to the castle and the harbour. The hotel was built in the 1960s but recently redesigned and completely renovated. All rooms have balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. A buffet breakfast is served in the H2O restaurant and bar, a reasonable choice is offered of breads and pastries, jam, honey, cereals, fresh and canned fruits and some eggs. However, the H2O restaurant and bar has no separate non-smoking section. The hotel has its own website.
For a delicious dinner, I recommend the Petrino restaurant on the Plateia Theologou. Deni's provides the best homemade ice-cream on the corner of the Bishop Paulus and Hippocrates street."

Great value! Amazing view!
"I spent one night at the Kos Art Hotel while on business at the island. The Hotel is recenty renovated, and I was surprised, pleasantly, by the results.
The room was large and very comfortable, as was the bathroom. The view was astonishing, as the Hotel is practically built ON the beach! The decor is modern, minimal, and very pleasing to the eye. The room was very clean, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was adequate, with some pleasant highlights.
Overall, a great value, especially for those who want to make the city of Kos their base (as the location is very central, but still right on the sea). Highly reccomended!"

Easter in Kos
"Excellent hotel, very nice, on the beach, good breakfast, super friendly staff, beautiful view, very good A/C, close and far enough from town so that it is not too noisy, yet convenient for tours, dining, and nightlife."

Our Favorite Greek Hotel
"While traveling the Greek islands we stopped at Kos without reservations for a hotel. I went to the information building in Kos Town, asking about a nice place for the evening. They suggested a new hotel a 1 minute walk down the street. The Aktis Art Hotel is one of the best small hotels we have stayed at in our travels. It is ultra modern, on the water, and offers it's guests the best in every catagory. The rooms are large. The bathroom surpasses your dream of the perfect pampering place. Breakfast includes the regular vegetables. yogurt and breads, with extras including freshly squeezed orange juice. You will love this hotel! They have a good website at:[--]"
