Too many steps to reach the dining room and Hotel Bars
"Just returned from a one week stay at the Michelangelo Hotel in Kos., absolutely beautiful hotel with gorgeous pools, unfortunately the weather was unusual for the first week in June, very overcast and quite thick cloud., obviously this did put a little damper on things as there is very little else to do within the vicinity of the hotel it is a little remote. There are a lot of steps to reach the dining room and bar from the rooms as they are all outside the hotel. The second night we had a bad storm and on the way back to our room after dinner I slipped on the wet steps and sprained my ankle., my husband sent for help and the Manager came to look at the injury and sent a Doctor to the room, he strapped it and gave me painkillers but obviously because of the many steps getting around the hotel complex was very very difficult. I realize no one was to blame but neither the Manager or any of the staff asked if there was anything they could to to ease the situation. Restaurant breakfast and evening buffet was very good and the rooms were very clean with clean towels daily, a nice touch was tea and coffee facilities in the room and a one and a half Happy Hour from 5.30 til 7.00 in the evening."

Amazing infinity pool, gorgeous place and great for singles too!
"We are 3 single girls who stayed at Michelangelo for a week. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we didn't really see much of Kos Island. Although we also wanted to soak up the sun and the hotel was the best place to do that. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive, the dinner buffet was too but not the best atmosphere for a nice meal. We did find though that Kos didn't offer great food options so the hotel dinner was quite good. The infinity pool was amazing as was the pool bar, with the bar stools submerged in the water! The snack lunch options by the pool are also limited but there is a a la carte restaurant in the hotel offering more options. There are some great local Greek bars that Dragona (the fantastic restaurant host) told us about. Check out Nostros. Ignore Bar Street if you want some to avoid the trashy bars. The staff are amazing at this hotel, trying to do everything they can to make your stay amazing. The hotel is about a 20 mins bus ride from Kos Town which is great because you are remote to chill out and close enough to head into town when you want to. The beach nearby is very average but the pool more than makes up for it. The only negative is that we were 3 single girls and we had a double bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable but this would be the same situation with any hotel I suspect. And we didn't want to spend more by getting a second room! I highly recommend this place and hope you enjoy it as much as we did : )"

"We stayed for 7 nights at Michelangelo in early September and all I can say is that it was just perfect! The pictures of the hotel do not capture the real image... It is much more than that. We really enjoyed our stay, the beach, the pools, the food, the room, the great big soft bed and the amazing views from our balcony..."

Best choice of Greek islands
"Hotel opened just 4 months ago (May 9, 2009), so it is best choice of greece hotels (I've ever seen). Contemporary architecture (modern, great materials, site; pools, bars & restaurants, spa,....area, views), great place, very nice people, services,... The room was excellent, very modern bedroom, bath ...too, but a few things were impractical for us (water from shower bath...). Reception very impressive. Really. The Spa in the basement ! The main building and 3 lines of blocks down the slop. 3 pools (Upper-just under Main building, pool bar with jacuzzi&masagge pool showers and down, main pool - the largest poll in Kos island - also with jacuzzi - the best known from photos - pool edge view...awesome !!! ), indoor dining hall in main building, indoor/outdoor bar just from reception, outdoor restaruant next to main pool, 2 pool-bars,... Almost everybody smiles and were very friendly (except a few trainees in dinning hall). For all of rooms and places, indoor and outdoor = very clean (and very new of course). Downhill to the (hotel) beach, which is without sand. The one and only - at this time, a little bit windy. We have been in Greece a few times (Zakynthos,Samos, Parga,...), but this place is the best !!! Really. Vlado Bojko & Katarina Nemesova, Trnava, Slovakia"

Perfect relaxing spot,amazing pool
"We stayed a week late august but felt we had had two. we de stressed really quickly in this beautiful spot, the views from the infinity pool were fantastic. Being new everywere was spotless and modern and well designed. Our garden view included plenty of sea. It is a little remote not a problem with a car but no bars within walking distance unless you fancy the nudist one! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Prices in bar expensive but thats the same everywere with euro at moment.( buy drinks and snacks etc from little shop down the hill -cheaper) Only marked room down due to lack of tea making facility otherwise lovely. Value, good feels 5 star in everything apart from food which is plentiful and on whole fresh and hot and no one went hungry (one veggie in party) but is as most buffets a bit repeative and not enough local flavour in our opinion. Was very quiet in hotel worrid girls (12,15,18) would be bored but they loved having pools to themselves at times and we visited busier beaches and Kos town at night for some retail opportunities . Ther is also a games room we discovered later in the week near the spa which again we had to ourselves. The 3 island trip was excellent value booked direct in Kos at 20 euros (10 under 16's) we chose the pirate one and had a great day. Water park also very quiet so great value as no queues = lots of rides! Our first time in Kos and loved it, was hot but constant breeze means heat never overwhelming. No mozzies (I always get bitten!) Didn't get to do south of island -oh dear will have to go back! (tip - take beach shoes for very pebbley hotel beach and themes (hot springs)and snorkle gear, loads of fish)"

"We stayed there with our 15 years old son for a week from July 12th to July 19th. The hotel was just perfect. Located in a quiet area just 8 kms from the city of Kos, in front of the sea, brand new, spotless clean, I have nothing but good words for it. We stayed at two double rooms with a connecting door, rooms 1822 and 1823 if I remember right. The view from the hotel balconies was amazing. Through the glass shields you could see the deep blue of the sea and only that. The rooms themselves were big, nice beds, wonderful bathrooms, perfectly cleaned every day, towels changed twice a day. Breakfast was very nice, with a big variety of food. The hotel's pool in really huge, and from its edge you on one side there is nothing else but the sea. For our teenage son there was a variety of things to do like table tennis and other similar in the games room. The sea just a few metres down the hotel with umbrellas and sunbeds. The beach is rocky though. We paid 75 Euros per double room with breakfast included, and it was really worth it. The only drawback is that the area where the hotel is build is really very windy and this can be annoying. Staff polite, nice and helpful. As I already said, it is highly recommended !!!"

Best vacation ever! amazing hotel and town
"We spent one week at Michelangelo in Kos Island and we felt in love with the location. The brand new hotel has one of the most inspired architectural structures I've ever seen. It is exactly as described in the official web site photos: amazing pool that gives the sensation of flying into the see (130 m), nice bars (I recommend the pool bar while taking a sun bath) with fine cocktails, good food, rooms decorated with taste and wonderful view to the Aegean see, good spa. There are only two things that we considered rather unpleasant: the minibar that had only two small bottles of water when we arrived and the cleaning ladies that didn't understand a word in English (not even the "don't disturb" sign). Nevertheless, the hotel has a mini market with decent prices and the bars personnel speaks a perfect English. Moreover, the small Kos town is a little wonder with colorful streets hosting a large variety of bars, restaurants and clubs. The shops integrate perfectly into the larger picture of the Hippocrates town offering delightful souvenirs. In order to get to Kos town, there is a bus station outside the hotel and the bus comes every 15'. We only wish to have spent there more than one week."

Fabulous setting and facilities
"Great new hotel, superbly finished on hillside facing the sea and the turkish mountains beyond (great views) - fronted by an enormous infinity pool. The regular breeze cools in the hot sun as one basks by the pool. Half board delivered well stock buffets with good, if repeating, choice. Staff varied by individual from the happy, jolly, friendly staff at the pool bar to the surly table waiters in the main restaurant."

VERY NEW AND ELEGANT
"We just got back from this new and beautiful hotel. Rooms are very nice clean and modern design.Beautiful view!! Even though hotel is new, it has very nice olive oil trees and garden. Pool is just to die for ! Biggest pool on the island. It has thrilling view to the sea. we have traveled with our 4 year old daughter, they have very beautiful baby pool and club, althougt there is almost no children in hotel.probably due to the fact that hotel is new. Beach is very nice and clean with free sunbeds umbrella a nd towels. Attention: for small children there are big rocks on the beach(no sand) it is little dificult to get to the water., But once you there its perfct, water is very clean and warm. Food is very good with big choise even for kids. I WAS VERY IMPRESED BY THIS HOTEL AND DEFINETLY WOULD RECOMENDED IT!!"
