10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
The best hotel I've stayed at in Greece
"This has to be the perfect mix of complete luxury and an authentic Greek run hotel. The room we were in (214) was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable, it also has the best balcony as it stretches the width of the room so has views over front and back. The staff, especially Fotini, are incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. You feel like you are staying with friends but with faultless service. I can't imagine anyone finding anything negative to say about this hotel, I am extremely fussy and can't wait to return. If you are thinking of booking here, do and you'll have an amazing holiday."

Beautiful, friendly hotel
"We chose the Anassa Deluxe Suites based upon previous good reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed in any way. Our suite (208) was spacious and beautifully decorated and, as requested, its balcony received plenty of sunshine from morning until evening. The bathroom had a combined shower, bath and jacuzzi, there was a very good maid service and every day of our holiday we returned to a spotless suite. Buffet breakfasts were tasty with plenty of variety and taken outside near the swimming pool. They gave an excellent start to each day. In the evening, drinks were also served here and much appreciated after the heat of the day just after the sun had gone down. The hotel is quite new and has been brilliantly designed in the local architectural style. It is not a large hotel, in fact I think there are just 17 suites, but this was a nice change from the uniformity and sometimes rather overwhelming scale of a large hotel. The hotel is also very close to all Kamariâs amenities. There is a well positioned, medium sized swimming pool which was well maintained and a pleasure to take a dip in during the afternoon with the sun shining on approximately half of it, so shade was available. Transfers to and from the airport were arranged by the hotel and this was much appreciated. Best of all, though, were the people running the hotel and special thanks are due to Fotini and all her colleagues. They were all so friendly and helpful and it was a real pleasure to pass the time of day with them over an evening drink. They are also very knowledgeable about the island and what it has to offer and will take as much time as is needed to explain things. This is another important area where a smaller hotel like the Anassa, run by people genuinely interested in your enjoyment of the holiday, has the advantage over larger hotels. For lunch or an evening meal (the hotel does not serve evening meals), weâd recommend âCafé Classicoâ on the beachfront. The food was good and always served with a smile. For excursions, weâd recommend the 15 minute mini-bus trip to see the ruins of Ancient Thira and the breathtaking view from the mountain, Mesa Vouna. Also, â¬29 with Kamari Tours was good value for the boat trip to the volcano, Nea Kameni, in the middle of the Caldera, the beautiful island of Thirassia and then on to Oia for the famous sunset. All in all, a brilliant holiday on a beautiful island in a lovely hotel in the care of wonderful people. We shall definitely return, hopefully not before too long."

fantastic for honeymoon!
"This hotel is the best place I have stayed. My husband and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon and it was better than we expected. We booked the honeymoon suite direct with the hotel and they came to pick us up from the airport. On arrival we had fresh fruit and wine that seemed to be never ending. The hotel was immaculate and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.....nothing was too much trouble they never stopped all day!! The location was excellent we were 5 min from shops, beach, bars, restaurants and the bus stop to Fira. I can honestly say we had nothing to complain about! Would recommend going to Fira for somewhere with a bit more nightlife and only 10 euros taxi home it was well worth paying more money for drinks just to see the amazing views."

10/10, this was a fantastic hotel, book this hotel is you...
"Book this hotel if you are looking for a great location (Kamari is a great locating in Santorini, it has a black beach with a very long boardwalk with lots of restaurants and shops and no cars, pedestrians only) Anassa is only a 3 mins walk to the beach and super markets. This new complex has all the charm and comfort you would need. It has a great pool and long chairs, the rooms are spacious and very clean (we walked in our room as they were cleaning and saw for ourselves that they change the bed sheets every day), well decorated for you to feel safe and on vacation. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful, they make your stay pleasant. They go out of there way for you. This was an AMAZING hotel and we had an AMAZING time. Do not hesitate to book this hotel, you will not be disappointed."

"I would say that this hotel is value for money. everything was more than our expectation with that price. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. The room was modern and very clean. I like the bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath. The location is just about 5 mins walk to Kamari beach side. Definitely I would recommend this hotel to our friends."

Modern clean and friendly.
"My wife and I spent 7 nights here and had a great break. The Staff are very friendly and the rooms are spotless and spacious. The location is about 100 meters from the beach and the long seafront which is packed with resurants and shops. The beach was a little disappointing, comprising of various size pebbles and going into the sea was a bit of a task as the bottom is uneven and has a variety of rocks. Two sunbeds and a parrasol willset you back â¬7 for the day. The other things I noticed about Kamari was that the tallest building in the town is the church! All small family run hotels with plenty of character."

"we have just returned from Anassa with our 1yold baby. we booked through booking.com and were a bit reserved because of lack of reviews. the hotel was brand new (opened July 18), with nice amenities (pool and jacuzzi (not heated though) and wooden sunbeds, outdoor breakfast area, shade if needed. rooms are spatious and nicely decorated. location in central Kamari on a quiet dead end street (close to the beach). the hotel does not have a children playground/ grass area, but none do.rooms were nicely decorated and spatious. room was cleaned the first chance they got. the hotel was nicely quiet both during the day and nights. they definitely delivered what was promised. and the staff was the nicest possible (they are owners themselves and have hotel experience for 20y). Fotini was incredibly helpful and friendly with our baby, transfer from airport, local transport, need for a doctor, itinerary, places to eat, lost luggage, even with our accommodation in Ia, etc. we ended up staying 7 days instead of 4 days and skipped staying in Ia. would definitely recommend."

I love the Anassa Deluxe!!!!!!!!
"I stayed at the Anassa Deluxe Studios from the 17th July until the 31st July. We were the first guests to stay at Anassa as it had only opened a few days before we arrived. The apartments are absolutely beautiful! as is the pool area, honestly, there is not one thing i could say that i didn't like about Anassa. It is a family run business and the same family own the hotel opposite (Maria Preka). The Preka's are without doubt one of nicest group of people i have met, they are so warm, welcoming and will go out of their way to make your holiday experience a good one. The apartments are in the perfect location for shops, kamari town and the beach, however there is no loud music, traffic noise or anything of that nature once you return to the apartments but to be honest there is'nt much of this in Kamari to begin with. So to round up......The Anassa deluxe apartments are totally fantastic in every possible way, we could not have asked for a better place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed every day of our holiday! The apartments were given 3* in one of the holiday brochures and i feel that this was wrong, these apartments deserve a 4* and some of the apartments deserve a 5*. Thankyou again to the Preka family for making this holiday truly special! And maria..........Oh my god! Lots of love the Emilia, Paulina and Yannis! xxxxxxxxxx"
