"the staff were terrible they were rude and did not offer a good service. they also tried to charge us 70 euros each as deposit which we did not et told about at all. you cannot request clean towels you can only get them every four days and the manager lady was very rude and made our stay at the hotel miserable. as a proffessional person i was disgraced."

Manager ruined our holiday

"When checking in we were told to each pay 70 euros each as a deposit, our travel agent did not tell us about this and we were only in malia for 5 days so didnt take much money with us, so 70 euros was alot to ask forof each person, after arguing with reception for about half hour, they said we could just leave our passports with them instead.

When we tried to unlock our door, between 5 of us we couldnt get the room door open, so we went off to find someone to help, and there was no-one around, god help anyone if theres an emergency in this hotel at night. Finally the hotel manager came along and was really rude to us and said " how do you open doors in britain, is it really that hard to do in greece"! she huffed and puffed, soooo rude!

We did not get clean towels all week! When noticing one of our towels was stained we took it down to reception to get a fresh one, and my freind left crying, because the hotel manager had shouted at her. I politely explained that the towel had not been stained by us and clearly had embedded blood stains on it. After being called a liar, they finally agreed to give us a clean towel the next day.

One day we aoke up to an infestation of ants in our bathroom. so went dwon to tell reception and they just looked at each other and said... we really should get that sorted. Obviously a problem they keep getting but ignoring.

Good side of the hotel was its location... 5 minute walk from beach and 2 minutes from main strip of bars. Hotel restaurant basic, food like plastic and cardboard... eat out!"

Staff very friendly, loverly Hotel

"Would highly recommend this hotel! Stayed for a week and had an amazing holiday!
The staff are really friendly and more than willing to help with any problems, expect from the receptionist that was very rude and accused us of lieing when we complained that we did not get glasses and told we smashed them when we didn't.
Perfect location 2 mins away from the main strip and around 5 mins walk to the beach. Hotel was very clean and maid did tidy up every couple of days although you do have to pay 65 euros for the air con and safety deposit box. Pool was and bar was loverly and food was good.
Although the shower leaked i would deffinatly go back to the hotel and would recommend it to anyone wanting to go out clubbing every night and wanting a lively holiday."

great holiday! hotel.. not so great

"i went to malia with 6 of my girl mates and had the best time! as soon as we got there we were on the strip! was amazing! the people were so friendly and drinks were so cheap!

the hotel are very strict. they dont let u have people stay in your apartment, the take 70 euros off each person on arrival and u get it bak on the last day if ther is no damages. my friends got chargd 30 euros for towels which was ridiculous! the showers leak and floods the bathroom which isnt very big in the first place.

we found the receptionist very rude as she shouted in our faces that we had ruined her summer because there was a mis-hap wif the payment of the rooms which was the fault of the travel agents and not ours.

the food at the hotel was lovely and the best bit about the hotel. the atmosphere around the pool was excellent even tho most people arent up till gone 12 as they are stil recovering from the night b4!

best clubs to go to are Zig Zag, Banana, 69 Club, Yiasou, Zoo, Factory, Camelot Castle, and loads more!!

had a great time.. shame about the hotel tho!"

Be very careful before booking these paratments

"Nightmare rip off - on arrival they take 70 euros per person - even though this is never mentioned when booking this hotel - the air conditioning is operated on a point system - the points are awarded by how many drinks you buy in their bar - this is purely to keep you in their hotel in order that you can have air conditioning - which is essential in the extreme heat - think carefully before booking this accommodation!!!"

AVOID THIS HOTEL

"We booked a garden/pool view on booking.com. It was my husband and I, my mother in law, and my little boy.
Nobody was at reception, so the bartender showed us our room. Not the room we booked, it reeked of cigarette . smoke and was filthy ! There were bugs all over, hair in the sink and bath. Even my little boy refused to sit down in there. One room looked out over the bar and main street, the other window overlooked the grease fan and garbage-strewn roof of the restaurant next door. The bartender called the owner/manager, who said there were no other rooms, but if we left we wouldn't have to pay. Later, I saw that my credit card was charged $220 because the manager said, first, that we did not show up, and later changed the story that we were given the room we reserved. The management is shifty and the location is dirty and dangerous, with security cameras all over the reception area. Just sleazy. We drove down the street to the Malia Park, and for only a little more money, we were given a beautiful suite in a luxury resort and treated like royalty. How the Philoxenia can get away with their thievery is beyond me. Don't stay here !"

Fantastic Hotel & Staff

"We are a couple in our 50’s & we stayed at this family run hotel for Ten Nights from 28th May 2014
From our late night arrival through to our afternoon departure the staff here catered for our every need, absolutely nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast is buffet style with fresh fruit, crusty bread, bacon, eggs any way you like them & if you like something you don’t see they will try their best to accommodate.
The rooms are nice with free air con a balcony, powerful shower with loads of hot water, rooms serviced every other day with nice clean towels.
Free WiFi in the reception & bar area is very handy. The drinks in the bar are very reasonable priced & served by happy friendly staff.
The pool is large deep & clean.
Security is second to none with 16 channel 24 hour monitoring & the staff all know just who is coming & going, we didn’t even feel the need to use the optional room safe that is there for a few euros per day.
The location of the hotel is great, it is quiet so you get a good nights sleep on the comfy beds plus it is only a 4 min walk to the beach. The area where the night life goes on is just around the corner but far enough away to not be able to disturb you.
All in all a great experience, when we go back to Malia we will not hesitate in booking this hotel & we would recommend it to anyone.
A big thank you to all of the staff from Dave & Helen xx
