"i cant complain, i didnt have to pay for the holiday!! my mates had some1 drop out 5 days before they flew, so i stepped in!
the location was great, far enough from the main strip to be quiet, but close enough to stagger home at 6am!
pool nice, with nice pool bar. lots of sunbeds and staff friendly. its true about the old woman who sits in the chair at reception! i do feel abit soory for them, its obviously a family run hotel, who've been bombarded with us drunken teenagers!!
rooms very basic, shower and toilet seat broken, but what do u expect for a 18-30's!!! we went bed and breakfast, but was never awake in time to eat it! i went once and had cold beans on toast!! but was soo hung over i was glad for anything!
it was really hot, so culd of done with a fridge, so self catering prob wuld have been better. but we had a balcony that over the pool and could see the sea, which was gorgeous.
we were a group of ten, and manged to lose loads of glasses and stuff, but luckily didnt get charged.
only problem was the distance to the beach!! it was to hot to make the trek, so we stayed at the pool all day every day!!
theres a nice restaurant that does a slap up full english at the end of the road, for about £3.50. i would definatly recommend a visit!
anyway, thats my essay over, hope u have a good hol."

"The hotel was good, the breakfast is boring after 3days so not really worth booking bed and breakfast as you will probably find yourslef opting to eating out for breakfast. in an good location, can walk home after a night out, right off the main strip. most of the staff are friendly, although there is an old women who always sits on her chair, all the time, you wake up shes there, and when you come in at 4am shes there. it is an 18-30's hotel, so they should expect that sort of behaviour, there was 19 of us mixed and we experienced shouting at us in greek for loud music, and normal noise. you cant play football on the grass. you are not allowed to eat or drink anything on when suinbathing unless bought from the hotel, they come round and take it off you. the hotel is a bit old fashioned but is average. its true, do not break anything! one of our partys door got damaged and they tried charging us 300 euros for about a 50quid job in the end they said you have to pay 150 euros are all 19 of us were getting kiked out. so had to pay. on arrival they keep your passport for the whole duration of your stay in a little locked cupboard in reception, and a party before us, they lost one of the passports and didnt do anything about it. the owner is not very friendly."

Frixos is ace!
"Thought the Frixos was absolutely brilliant!!!
Went there for two weeks last september and i loved every minute of it! Big hello to David the security guard, who was abosolutely wicked, and totally cool about the fact that he had to carry me up to my room one night as i'd had waaaaaay too much beer!!!
All the staff were brilliant, the rooms were really clean and the maids came in every day without fail!
The hotel is round the corner from two little grocery shops which sell all kinds of crazy stuff as well as essentials.
Nightlife is amazing, and so close to the hotel...about 10 minute walk!!
Loved it so much i've booked to go back next July! Frixos here we come (again!!!)"

Best Place Ever
"We have been to this hotel 8 times now -with and without kids!! The family are so friendly and are around 24 hours a day. They have baked cakes for the kids and brought them to us, they have taken us to local football matches, given us lifts on scooters. They are all round brilliant - don't know what the other guy on here did to upset them. An excellent hotel/apartments just far enough away from busy main road to get some quiet time too. Try it yourself - you'll go back for more!!"

2 weeks of hell
"So what can i say its clean if yuor only there to sleep, DONT BREAK ANYTHING if you do your will pay 3x the cost i broke a plastic chair and the manager wanted 30 euro (£21) for it. The first day we went back to the desk to say the no lights was working in the room, after 2 weeks and back in glasgow we are still waiting. The bar star are nice and friend about 3 euro for a beer but on up the drive way for about 5 seconds to the corner shop and get a bigger beer for less then 1 euro"

Malia July 2011
"I have been back from malia for almost 2 weeks now and am missing it so much :( I went with 7 other BUZZING READING LADS :P I cant describe how amazing malia as a whole was! Having Frixo's as a crazy pad added to holiday, it was sooo gooood! By reading through past reviews there is mixed opinions which is fair! Its not for families and i think it is stupid to book if you are going in a family. I think i saw a fam once throughout the whole 2 weeks there! But yeah full of teens which was good for us lads BRUP BRUP.
Drinks are kinda expensive at the bar but hey hoe go to the super market 30 seconds down the road and by alcs there :) But when George the bar man bangs out HAPPY HOUR you can get a good pint for 2.50 euros!
STELIOS made my life complete "

Excellent value for money
"i have recentley returned from malia and i stayed at the frixos hotel the staff were very friendly! the food was good value for money the rooms were very basic but clean i would suggested to get air con becuase the boys in the room next to us eneded up sleeping on the balcony at night because it was sooo hot!
the reps are lovley!
but be careful of the security guy stellios hes a bit of a nutter!
when u go on the strip at night stick as a group because it can get violent!
alll together it was an amazing holiday and i would return to frixos again!!!

oh ah malia
"we went in a group of 18, all of us aged about 18. it was perfect for the holiday we had in mind, close enough to the strip to be able to stagger back after a heavy night. i was never awake to experience the breakfast but a few of my mates said it wasn't great, but not bad either. air con is 45euros for the week but well worth it.
the staff are all sound. stellios the security guy was really nice, exept when he caught my friend pissing off the balcony in a drunken state and quiet rightly stellios was annoyed, so he made my friend clean it up.
malia is great for a week of drinking in the sun, but tbh their isn't that much else to do, but thats all we really wanted to do so it was fine.
a negative of malia is all the bloody quadbikes on the strip.

Clean, Great Welcome, Reasonable for the money
"We stayed at Frixos for a cheeky week away in the sun. My friend and I are late 30's and used to traveling the world but usually book no less than 3*.
The welcome at Frixos was second to none, great staff, rooms cleaned daily but the decor was a little old fashioned(refresh it and they would charge alot more).
The pool was v nice, breakfast acceptable (cereal, bacon, beans, toast), never loud music v late at night or too early in the morning.
The rooms were not well ventilated(we were on the ground floor) but there was aircon if too uncomfortable.
All in all, a great place to stay, close to the nightlife but far enough for a sound nights sleep and a welcome that 5* hotels could learn from.
In Malia is you do scuba diving, book via an agent as the local dive centre will rip you off going direct."

BEST 2 WEEKS OF MY LIFE
"me and 5 other girls stayed at the frixos hotel in july.. was the most amazing time of my life.. we went bed and breakfast but never woke up in time to actually eat it! Sam the barmann or SEX as he makes you call him, is hilarious but sooo weird.. he makes your holiday moree fun though.! The pool area is really nicee aswell.. we got in trouble with the security guard Stellious a few times! he shouted at us when we got home at early hours in the morning and told us to get to bed and stay there! he also threaterned to get us thrown of the hotel on a few occasions.. this made our holiday even more funny... we would stagger into the hotel in fits of laughter! He is really nicee when you get on the right side of him! the family who own the Frixos are lovely.. Nanny Frixoss is hilarious, she sits in the front of the hotel all day asleep.. shes cute really! the hotel room was very basic.. as we went bed and breakfast we didnt get a kitchen area, we didnt really mind as we went out to eat everynight, but if you are thinking of cooking yourself when your there make sure you go Self Catering.. the hotel is situated at the top of the strip, but is far enough so you can sleep without all the noice.. it takes about 5 minutes to get to the strip.. Maliaaa is the most amazing place i have ever been and i would reccommened it to everyone, you will have the most amazing time there... i am deffinatly planning on going again and will be staying in the frixos!"
