"it is just perfect ! the location: what best for skiing than Chamonix !the walk in the middle of a forest from the chalet to the town centre is also beautiful and romantic. The chalet itself is comfortable ,warm with the incredible customer service and welcoming from Jackie and David who are also incredible efficient organizers : we landed in Geneva at 9,15 and by noon my husband was on the pistes ! no need to comment on the food that everyone know is great. Go for it ,you will not be disappointed ! bb"

What a great break!
"We had a fantastic 3 day getaway. Dave and Jacky are great hosts. They make your experience as smooth as possible - thank you so much. The chalet is stylishly simple, practical and clean. We loved the hot tub in the snow, and dinner was always a treat! (Much better than having to go out and find a 5 star restaurant...) We enjoyed meeting all the other guests at the table too- some interesting folk pass through Chamonix! We hope to return, possibly with the children, if circumstances permit....( if Paul still has a job....) In a nutshell, if you want to have a hassle-free skiing excursion with all the trimmings, then you won't go wrong staying at Vertetblanc. Best wishes!"

"If you are looking for a touch of luxury in the Mountains then this is the place to stay. Close to the Flegere Telecabin this is a Chalet Hotel ran by Jackie and David who have an incredible passion for their Property, Business, Staff, Guests and the Mountain. Having rebuilt the Chalet from Scratch they have created a gem. I stayed with my Wife and 6 year old for a week along with a Couple of Friends . The quality of the Chalet got the thumbs up from the ladies, hot tub and sauna fantastic, the Social Area and Childrens Dinner hour catered for Thomas and the Evening food courtesy of Top Chef Nina and assistant Kinnon was simply awesome. Jackie and David can't do enough for you to make your stay special and for you to relax and fel at home. P.S. The Skiing is second to none too!"

"Fantastic chalet, food and hosts. Couldnt have asked for more and will definitely go back. Rare to find two people who are happy to go that extra mile as are Jackie and David, which was much appreciated as we were travelling with two toddlers."

The Boys Trip
"Our trip in January 2009 will be our third visit to Jackie and Daves who are just the best hosts ever. Jackies cooking is fantastic and Daves taxi service to and from the slopes is great - how convenient is it to meet the taxi driver in the bar at the foot of the slopes each afternoon ( just one small beer for Dave ) - beats queing for the Cham bus every day. They have both doe a fantastic restoration job on the Chalet - with all creature comforts catered for. Can`t wait to get back out there."

So good we're going back!
"As a group of four we stayed at the chalet in January this year for one week. From the moment we arrived until we left David and Jackie (the owners) made sure we had a briliant time. A large open lounge with open log fire, dining area, bar with pool table forms the heart of the chalet. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and nice touches include complimentary spa products in the bathroom. Working on the basis of 'treat others as you would like to be treated' David and Jackie have added facilities such as a hot tub - most welcome after a hard days skiing - and a sauna room. With a superb variety of evening meals provided during the week accompanied by a selection of excellent wines all were in agreement that we had indeed found a gem of a chalet. The other staff were polite and worked hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay - Rachels afternoon cakes are to die for!!!!! Just some of the other touches which added value to our stay included lifts to and from the ski hire shop. Advice on the ski areas and lifts to and from the slopes. The owners will even arrange airport transfers if required. Chalet location is on the outskirts of Chamonix - a 20 minute stroll along the riverbank. So to sum up - if you are looking for a place to stay were you will be well looked after, look no further. Our endorsement of the chalet is that we booked for next year there and then and in addition are taking another 4 people!"

Excelent third visit toVert et Blanc.
"This was my third visit to stay with David and Jackie and certainly will not be my last. I come to Chamonix to ski and have been here 1 week each of the last 3 years. The accommodation is excellent and a great choice for friends, families and colleagues, I have been there with all three groups and enjoyed every time. The food is superb and plenty of it too. The other guests have been great on each occasion and this year we skied with a group of great guys from all over europe (plus 1 Aussie) who were first class company, even after I did drag them on some very testing off piste. Although Chamonix town centre is only a 15 minute walk away there was little need to go there in the evenings because the chalet atmosphere was so much fun. The personal transport to and from the ski lifts is first class and could not be beaten. If you get it right David and Jackie will come out skiing with you and show you around the mountain. The small improvements each year are simply a reflection of David and Jackie's desire to provide the best service possible for their guests. There can only be small improvements as it is difficult to improve something that is already very good All this from a seasoned skier with many years experience of a very broad range of ski places and Vert et Blanc has to be right up there with the best. What else can you ask for?
"We have stayed at Vert et Blanc as a group of 5 families this year and last year. Our age range is 3 yrs to 50+ and our skiing/boarding expertise was as varied, however none of this mattered. Jacqui (The hostess with the mostess), catered fantastically for all of us-including some very fussy kids and adults, and Dave was ever obliging helping us with passes, lessons, hire of gear and getting us to where we should be at the right time. The standard of accomodation is excellent, it didn't matter what state we left the chalet in in the morning it was always spotless when we returned for afternoon tea and Jaq's cake creation in the afternoon (always delicious). The location of the chalet is great- near enough to Cham to enjoy the atmosphere, but far enough away so not to hear it! All ski areas are easy to get to. Everything we want and need in a ski holiday is here...why go anywhere else?"

I recently had the opportunity to visit ...
"I recently had the opportunity to visit Chamonix and whilst there stumbled across a chalet in the middle of being carefully renovated to a fantastic standard. The chalet which is just a short walk from the town will be open for this years winter and the English owners will provide a catered chalet with an excellent ambience. The views from all rooms are breathtaking with Mount Blanc set as the backdrop. I have already booked for a week this March and will review what I find as soon as I return "
