So good, we've been back 6 times....
"We initially found Chalet Blanche via an internet trawl a year after it opened. My wife and I had great time and have returned many times with friends and family. Owners, Al (aka Easy-Al due to âEasyjet Orangeâ ski jacket he wears) & Debbie are great. Very professional with a laid back style where nothing is too much trouble. The Chalet is situated in a quiet area but just a stroll away from the town...even in ski boots. The food has been very good with the drinks flowing freely. The other guests have been an interesting and varied lot from UK and other parts of the World.Usually good company especially when you meet over a drink in the well used Hot Tub. I would highly recommend itâ¦.we are returning next year with visiting friends from Australia."

Excellent value without compromising on quality
"What can you say about Chalet Blanche? It is an absolutely amazing place. I stayed with a work mate whilst in Chamonix on a four day/ three night walking break and loved every minute of it. The Chalet is a great base for exploring the town and also the surrounding mountains. A five minute walk will take you into the heart of Chamonix and the ski lifts are very accessible from here. The rooms are great, roomy with great en suite facilities and balconies with staggering views over the Mont Blanc massif. There is a large lounge with Sky TV, a large communal balcony with superb seating and of course the hot tub. There is an honesty bar with beer for 1 Euro, easily the cheapest in Cham. Mein hosts Al and Debbie were fantastic, very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were magnificent and Debbie's scrambled eggs were something else! For the price it costs to stay in such a well furnished Chalet, including breakfast that easily keeps you going til lunch and with such great hosts you will not beat Chalet Blanche. All the previous reviews have got it spot on- I hope this review pushes them up to number 1!!"

Through summer and winter the most hospitable place to stay in the valley!
"We first saw Debbie and Al on the Channel 4 'No going back programme' and were looking for a place to stay for Christmas with family - they seemed like a great couple! A long weekend trip before our planned Christmas trip and we were hooked. We have now been going back to the chalet for skiing in winter and bed and breakfast in the summer for the past 5 years. Whether you are going as a couple, family, large mixed group or a girls or blokes few days away, then Chalet Blanche is the place to stay. The chalet is always immaculately clean, each bedroom has it's own bathroom, there is a guest kitchen, sky t.v., games and cd's, a hot tub, honesty bar and more. In the winter you will be treated to breakfast, afternoon tea and a delicious three course meal with wine and in the summer a hearty breakfast awaits you before you set off for the day. It really is home from home and if you just fancy a night in all the facilities are there for you to use. Debbie and Al are wonderful hosts with an extensive knowledge of the area and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them, they really do go 'that extra mile'. Al is a great ski guide and has taken us on countless adventures over the years! Would I recommend them to friends - definitely. Will we keep going back - absolutely! Well done Al and Deb - you really did achieve your dream!"

Our favorite stop on our family "tour de france"!
"The house was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The view of Mont Blanc is spectacular. We could walk five minutes to lots of great restaurants, the Aguille du Midi lift and mountain train station. Al and Debbie could not be more hospitable hosts. Much nicer than staying in a hotel! Great location for an activity holiday
"We have been visiting Chamonix in the summer for several years, always staying at Chalet Blanche. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is a great start to the day. The chalet is also the perfect spot for relaxing after strenuous acivity during the day, the hot tub proving popular with it's views up to Mont Blanc. Chamonix centre is a 10 to 15 minute walk away and is full of places to eat, or you can eat at the back at the chalet if on a budget or you are just too tired to venture far."

Fabulous chalet that we keep coming back to year after year
"We've stayed at Chalet Blanche for each of the last five summers, except for the one in which our third son was born. Each time we've been in a group from 12 to 20 in total with children ranging from babies to 14 years old. Everyone has a fantastic time and want to keep coming back. The facilities at the chalet are outstanding which means everyone can relax and if you want to go into town it's on your doorstep but equally if you want to chill out and stay in it's fine. Would recommend the chalet to anyone."

Gorgeous chalet with unbeatable Mont Blanc views!!
"We decided to stay at Chalet Blanche after we saw the owners, Debbie and Al, on a TV programme about a couple moving to Chamonix to run a Chalet. They seemed like such good fun we decided to give their place a try. We were not disappointed. Chalet Blanche is a fantastic place to stay. The location couldn,t have been better. Its just a 5 mins walk from the centre but in the most peaceful area with fabulous views of Mont Blanc. The chalet is extremely well equipped. All the rooms are en-suite. The hot hub in the garden was just heaven after a long day hiking in the mountains. We thought the honesty bar was a really nice touch and also we appreciated the SKY T.V and play station. There is a big open fire in the living room which make it especially cosy in the winter. Our room was lovely. We stayed in room 4 on the top floor. We had wonderful views of Mont Blanc from our balcony. Our room was quite spacious. The whole chalet was exceptionally clean and Fresh. Debbie and Al, the owners were extremely friendly. They made us feel like we were staying with family. They were extremely welcoming and could not have done more to help make our stay more memorable. Their knowledge of the area is very extensive and they gave us some great tips for things to do. Like White water rafting, paraguiding and some wonderful Alpine walks. We will definately be back in the Ski season to stay. Debbie and Al told us that during the ski season they offer catered weeks in their chalet and they will also take us to the slopes and bring us back afterwards. Al said he often ski,s with the guests aswell which would be a great bonus for us as we are not experienced skiers."

Home from Home
"A fantastic place to stay, its like home from home, from the breakfasts to set you up for the day to the hot tub and the lounge with sky tv and games, you can even use the kitchen facilities if you want to stay in, its clean and well maintained, Debbie & Al are the perfect hosts, its like visiting friends and nothing is too much trouble for them, they have a vast knowledge of the area and no matter what activity you want to do they can point you in the right direction. The centre of town is about a 10 minute walk with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Our second visit to Chalet Blanche and it was even better than the first, we stayed with our 16 year old daughter and friends with a 10 year old son. There is always so much to see and do in the Chamonix valley or you can just chill out in the garden or hot tub with a botle of wine and look up in awe at snow capped Mont Blanc. The perfect place to relax after a long day out walking, cycling, shopping or even if you've spent the day sunbathing in the garden."

"I stayed here for 6 nights with my husband and 10 year old son and our friends with their 16 year old daugher. It was our first time in Chamonix. Our friends have stayed here before and recommended it to us. The chalet was brilliant. The owners Debbie and Al were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. It was almost like staying with friends. The chalet is lovely. Some really nice touches like the honesty bar and all the shared areas were very cosy and comfortable. Breakfasts were great - plenty to choose from and the hot tub and garden area were very pleasant after a long walk. We met some great people and had a lovely holiday. Thank you so much Debbie and Al - you deserve to do well - Max and Amelie (their two children) were adorable. I would highly recommend this chalet to anyone wanting to visit the area. We really couldn't fault it in any way. Julia, Neil and Jack xx"

Oasis in Chamonix
"We stayed here during a summer cycling trip. Having visited the area many times during the winter - we gave summer a try. Perfect location - 2 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Chamonix centre, but great for all bars and restaurants. Owners friendly and helpful, without being obtrusive. Grea breakfasts, honesty bar - even tea making facilities. Rejuvenating hot tub in the garden - great after a hard day cycling, or walking. All rooms, good size, clean and well maintained. Highly recommended - would stay here again."
