Very disappointing, but did the job
"We stayed here for 2 nights on our way back from the French Alps, to allow us aday in Eurodisney. We use Novotels regularly when travelling in Europe and have always been pleased with them (as overnight stays for a family). This one was really dissapointing, particularly the attitude of the staff. The receptionist at check in was quite unfriendly and insisted we paid for our room & breakfast on arrival as we had got a special rate when booking. When we checked out, the receptionist (a different one) tried to get us to pay this again and only stepped down after an argument. Mind you, the bar & restaurant bills were so steep I'm glad we paid in installments! The bar service was awful. The barman disppeared out the back somewhere as soon as he finished serving and only checked back for customers every 10 minutes or so, so it took a while to get served. He got quite angry when one customer dared to call out though the door after waiting 5 minutes! Dirty glasses only seemed to be cleared from the tables once a day. Prices were high, even for a hotel bar. The food in the restaurant was of good quality but service was extremely quick (they are obviousy not cooking to order). It was too quick though - for instance bringing our main courses while we were still finishing our starters then hanging around impatiently while we finished. Again, prices very high. Breakfast was chaotic on our second morning. There was a steadily growing queue to get in and get a table. The buffet was bare in places and staff were slow to replenish items that ran out. It was a matter of grabbing what was available or go hungry. Of course, this just brought out the worst manners in some other guests, who started barging & elbowing others out of the way for the last slice of ham or whatever. I just don't understand how this hotel can get it so wrong when other Novotels consistently get it right, including the one at Reims Tinqeuex not too far along the autoroute. The location is convenient for Eurodisney, but the drawbacks of this hotel mean that I would prefer to stay elsewhere if I go back, even if it does mean a longer drive to Eurodisney & back."

Great Value and Location for Disneyland Paris
"This is an excellent value for money choice if visiting DLP. Easy to find off the A4 and about 10 minutes easy drive to DLP or Val d'Europe (roadworks on the A4 permitting). It's located in the middle of a commercial zone and at first looked unpromising. It's one of the "old" Novotel buildings, a featureless oblong with wings of 2 or 4 floors. However, once inside there was spacious foyer with an efficient reception desk. Kids got standard Novotel gifts. Not sure why they bother but it was appreciated nonetheless. Our room (287) was a very long walk from the reception but was a refurbished Novotel room, spacious and clean with a huge bed. Two kids beds folded out of the double settee. It was possibly the most efficient and comfortable fold out bed I've ever seen. Tea and coffee making facility and a medium priced mini-bar. TV had the usual limited viewing choice offered in France. Most of the visitors must come for DLP so why not a wider choice of disney channels at least. There was a small bar/restaurant in the foyer. Menu prices were steep so we didn't use it. At the end of the access road there's a Buffalo Grill open late and offering American style dining for a reasonable cost. Ask for the English translation of the menu to avoid any embarassement - like ordering raw meat! Sorbet desserts were excellent. Not so sure about the ubiquitous Steak Hache. Face it, its a hamburger without the bun! The grounds of the hotel were well maintained with a grassed area and a small, cold pool. The temperature hit 100F during our stay so the pool was a blessing. Nice place to spend a day sunbathing. Getting in and out of the car park could be a pain. Firstly the access into the commercial zone and the road to the hotel has a "sentry box" manned 24hrs. Late at night a barrier comes down to about 2m high. No problem for me but lots of people travel with a roof box. Fortunately theres always a guard available to help. At the hotel you need pass an outer barrier and take a ticket to open the inner barrier. Before you can leave you need the ticket validated to operate the exit barrier. Not sure whether these arrangements are because of car crime or, more likely, some guests leaving without paying (possibly not paying the extra, cash, city tax). The whole arrangement got very annoying when the barrier refused to raise for validated tickets on our last day. Travel to DLP was simple. You can use a back road to Sortie 12 on the A4. Road works are holding things up temporarily but you exit at Sortie 14 for DLP. Easy and quick. Even quicker on the return journey. I agree with earlier reviews that you must have a car for this hotel. It would be impractical any other way. Aside from that, at 100 Euros a night for three of us including a good buffet breakfast with hot items, its a big saving on park hotels (most of which we've stayed at in the past). A one day, two parks pass cost us another £100 for 3 people which compared with on-site options is a snip. This is also a reasonable location for catching the RER into Paris. We used the Marne La Vallee station and parked in DLP but I suspect there are better and cheaper ways including catching the train at Val d'Europe or Noissy."

Great hotel for disney
"I chose this as it was close to Disney and as I was hiring a car i knew it would be easy to get to from Charles de Gaulle airport. About 15 minutes to Disney. We loved the pool outside and the bar was good. Breakfast was excellent. Secure parking also very good. There is an excellent Pizza del arte about 3 minutes walk away if you don't want to eat at hotel. Rooms are standard Novotel - quite spacious, basically what you need as a base for a trip to disney."

"We stayed at this hotel as we wanted to visit Eurodisney and the official Disney hotels were fully booked. We liked the hotel very much. The rooms are clean, there isn't any noise and the hotel's restaurant is also very good. We would definitely go back again. We also visited Paris Centre one day with the RER and this was perfectly possible as we drove to the RER station in Disneyland itself. Conclusion : much cheaper then the official Disney hotels and definitely recommended when you have a car."

Very far away from everything unless your driving !
"Really far from the RER station . Not easy to get there unless you have a car or you want to send a fortune in taxi fares . If you don't have a car think twice because there's nothing in walk distance . It's not far with a car but if you don't have one , rent one . Not satisfied at all with industrial location ."

Basic accomodation with no charm
"We stayed here for two nights in July, 2004 as our base for visiting Eurodisney. It is a charmless concrete structure in a rather odd location, isolated from the rest of town by the Autoroute. A car is necessary, and you'll need good directions to find it. Once there, however, it proved to be clean, reasonably spacious, and secure accomodation and convenient to access Eurodisney or CDG airport."

Very Pleasently surprised!
"03April2004My family and I spent one night at this hotel, I was very pleased. The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms very nice size for Europe. Nice resturant, with excellent breakfast. Close to Autobahn A4, roughly between Paris and EuroDisney.I would definately stay with them again."
