excellent accomodation. cant wait to go back
"have just spent a fantastic 2wks at the sandra apartments.best family holiday we have been on.the sandrais ideally situated, central to the beach and all bars and restaurants. the rooms are slightly dated but extremely clean and spacious with a good variety of kitchen equipment. the air con is free which is a bonus as i have always had to pay for it.the staff are very friendly and helpful and the maid service is second to none. the family who run the pool bar are the nicest people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and our holiday special. our daughter and her friend were treated like 'one of the family'. we were all gutted to leave. the pools are lovely and kept very clean as is the bar and surrounding areas and the snacks are well worth a try.we arrived home at 2am and by 6pm we were looking to go again next year.cant wait!! thankyou to everyone at the sandra for making our holiday one of the best and a special thankyou to sam, suzanne and kieron for being the lovely people you are."

most friendly apartments and bar
"Just arrived back from the best holiday. excellently situated in the center of Protaris are the Sandra Hotel Apartments . The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms are a little dated but very clean and spacious with free air con which i have always had to pay for before.the maid service was second to none and nothing was to much trouble. i am known as a bit of a ' Monica ' but i had no complaints and after arriving back on Thursday at 2am by 6pm we were on the Thomson web seeing how much it was to go back in June '13'. the bar is run by the nicest family who go out of their way to make u feel welcome.my daughter and her friend were treated like part of the family and we were all gutted to leave. gorgeous pools and bar area which are kept very clean. cant wait to go back and will be booking shortly. thank you everyone at the Sandra Hotel for making our holiday brilliant!with a special thank you to Sam ,Suzanne and Kiersten."

Lovely place. Great location.
"Stayed here for two weeks and the place was very nice. When we arrived it was early hours in the morning but the young guy behind the bar was happy to serve us to a few drinks. The pool is great, lots of loungers and umbrellas and you are made to feel very welcome by Sam behind the bar. One thing that was annoying was that the kids pool had sand in it that needed cleaning. The beer was â¬3 euros a pint which compared to most bars was expensive but still an o.k price. The rooms are spacious and clean. Air Con is free which is a bonus. We were on the third floor and didn't hear any noise from any of the bars at night. If you are expecting free wi-fi, Sandra doesn't have it. But most bars and restaurants have it. Once you walk outside you are in a cracking location. Fig tree bay a 5 minute walk to your right. Another beach straight ahead and lots of bars and restaurants to your left. I would definitely recommend Georgia, Island Affair and Cheers as places to eat. Bells Bar (left) and The Love Boat (right) are the most lively places at night. Both have a small children's at area. Protaras is a great place. Very hot in August!! Try the Ice Cream from Chillz, next to Island Affair... WOW. "

"We have just stayed at the Sandra apartments for 2 weeks July/Aug. Fantastic position,24 hour bakeries across the road also a supermarket.Theres also a good supermarket 3 seconds away called Happy days which has a bank atm on the side.Rooms were spotless and so big, fantastic air con.I have never had such comfy beds in an hotel. All the bars and restaurants are outside, can defo reccomend cheers for breakfast and evening meal, breakfast can feed at least 2 people it`s that big.Lovely cocktail bar next door to the sandra,2.50 euros a cocktail.Pool bar is good for grabbing snacks or breakfast, dinner looked nice but never ate in the evening here.Maids and all staff very friendly. We were a group of 2 families with 2 smaller kids and 3 teenage lads between us who were going into ayia napa(teenagers were)and all had a fantastic time. The local bus is 1 euro into napa and back and finishes at 4.30am otherwise a taxi is 15 euro. I would not hesitate to use this hotel in the future."

"These apartments are very clean (ours was cleaned on a daily basis). They aren't luxurious but have the basics- all you need really. The staff were helpful. The pool area is well maintained with plenty of sunbeds. The main restaurant was being refurbished but we were moments from lots of restaurants and pubs and despite it being the very start of the season and some places being closed we easily managed to eat somewhere different everyday. There are the usual Mc Donalds and Pizza Hut but also Chinese, Japense, Italian and local cuisine. The apartments still served breakfast and snacks from the beachside bar. The beaches are very close with a choice of two, we preferred Fig Tree Bay as it had a small island we could swim out to and snorkel. The beach was very clean the sea was crystal clear and the weather was lovely, not as hot as it is in mid summer but my husband still managed to get sunburned! We hired mopeds and travelled around the coastline there were other lovely beaches nearby. We also took the bus to Aya Napa which cost 1 euro 80. The price of food and drink wasn't fantastically cheap with a pint costing 2 euro but only if bought at the right time of day - during hapy hour. Overall the stay was good value and I would go again not sure I would go in the peak of the season as I can imagine it gets packed it was just right for us in April."

Wait until it opens
"Booked as a last minute holiday, so can't complain too much, but in future would not go out of season to Protaras! This was a nice appartment block. Had everything you would need and was spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff. Could be a bit noisy due to lack of any soundproofing - but not many guests there on this occasion! Had to be a contortionist to use the loo, as the sink was over part of it!! Only real problem was that the rest of Protaras was closed!! Could count the number of shops/restaurants on one hand that were open, and lots of building work - both new builds and properties getting ready to re-open. Absolutely nothing going on at night, especially for the children. Would have been in a great location if things had been open. Close to beach. Hired a car at local hire shop and that got us out and about to see life. Car park at back of hotel was handy. Nicossia was great, Famagusta viewpoint really interesting to get insight into the real Cyprus. All in all had great time, but would definately not go until the season has started properly another time."
