Not quite the hilton you would expect
"This is a Hilton in name and price only. There are areas that are very tired, areas of worn out carpet and poor decor. Unfortunately it is not near the centre of Nicosia, a 10 euro taxi for 3.5 km. It was quiet inside but I guess at busy times it could be noisy because most of the rooms are acccessed by a balcony around a three storey open atrium, potentially noisy if the bar stays open late. I had to ask for tea/coffee making facilities despite advertised, I got them on day 2. The TV was an old worn out free-standing Grundig, the only English programme was Sky news, but the picture was terrible, every time you moved in the room it went into massive interference and was hardly worth watching. It is very expensive, especially now the euro and £ are the same, 300cl beer in hotel almost £5, same price as coffee. We had one meal in restaurant, very slow and very expensive. A mixed grill that was barely bigger than a starter was around £18 and a pasta dish that was just equivalent to a starter was £13 a basket of bread beteen 4 persons was £8. I was booked in as a delegate at a preferential rate of 105 euros but was initially charged 164 euros, after haggling and a local Cypriot colleague's call to the manager managed to lower it to a rate of 105. The outside noise at night was horrendous, and any view that can see MacDonalds will suffer. The very straight dual carriageway (over .5 mile long) is used as a racing track by the local petrol heads from midnight to 3.00am. The police are apparantly aware but do nothing. The staff are very good, reception, room cleaning and restaurant excellent, very polite and nothing is too much trouble, ask for most things at breakfast and you will get it. So it is really a Jekyll and Hyde Hilton Hotel."

"I stayed for four nights at this hotel. Rooms were large enough but old furnitured. Personnel was mostly mannerless, nobody smiled! But the top was the parties! Every night we could not sleep due to live music, but the reception do not accept to change our room. For the same problem I heard complaints from other persons also. So next time we'll stay somewhere else and we do not recomend this hotel to nobody."

"We stayed at Hilton Park hotel during a wedding venue. We have been staying in Hilton Park for some time now. Always excuisite. The reception was grand and helpful as always. We were shown to our room by the porter. However we were taken to a land view room and I asked for a pool view. I called reception immediately and we were transfered to a big pool view room. It was big as a junior suite with a king bedroom and a baby cot. Bathroom was a bit small however and needed renovation as it was wore out from years... Amenities included toiletries, fully stocked mini bar, sat tv with paid movies, safe, etc... prices as expected from a five star hotel. Our view was perfect to the wedding. Buffet reception was excellent, with a lot of champagne. However the buffet dinner was average. Selection was okay however quality was not a Hilton one. Breakfast was good, it had nearly everything but a bit small as the hotel had only a few guests. Hilton Park is amongst the best in Nicosia."

Real Very Good Hotel.
"I went to spend 5 days in a international meeting. The hotel attentions are very good. Room is very big, although the bathroom is a very old. Everything is perfect, breakfast, lunch and dinner, free buffet. This hotel is not near to the downtown (shop center) although you have one shopcenter very near (alfaomega center) with everything except clothes. You have bars and mcdonalds together. A taxi to the downtown costs 8 euros. People are very kind and nice."

"I stayed 3 nights for business and it´s an average hotel. Too expensive for what you get. Rooms are big but need to be updated, specially the bathroom. I would say it´s a three star hotel. The best thing is the pool area and the fitness center."

2.5 star rooms
"I often stay in this hotel when I do business trips to Nicosia. Location is a 10 minute drive to town center. Lobby is nice(by Cyprus standards). Rooms should be considered 2.5 star for quality. Feels like a cheap motel room...not up to the standard of quality which one would expect from a hotel with this brand name. Rooms are poor value for the money. Unfortunately, there are are no other alternatives in Nicosia which offer anything better."

Overall a good stay
"Recently stayed at the Hilton Park Nicosia for a prolonged business trip. Check-in/Reception staff were prompt and helpful for calling taxis, etc. There was no regular bellstaff at the front door which was inconvenient. The included breakfast buffet was good and the staff attentive. The lobby bar staff were not attentive. Room service was very good and quick. Room: Somewhat shabby but spacious. Bathroom was clean and in good working order. Small refrigerator/minibar was convenient for storing own drinks and snacks. TV service was not good. Only one English language channel (Sky TV). Porn channels were not blocked (glad my kids weren't with me!) as one channel-surfed. Boring television and movies on order were expensive. No newspaper delivery. Housekeeping was responsive and added personal touches. Laundry service was prompt and careful. Room was quiet and the windows could be opened for fresh air. Convenient location on major street. Easy to walk to "Alpha-omega" super grocery store and fast food. Bennigan's across the street. I walked a lot in the area even alone and after dark with no problems. For traveling further (city center, etc.) taxis are plentiful, safe, and good value in Nicosia. Spa and Pool: Top-rate and use is included in the hotel rate. Extensive services, machines, and professional staff. The gym was quite crowded in the afternoon and evening. Clearly the place to be seen for the local gym-goers. The outdoor pool is beautiful with heavy use during the weekend."

Superb, with a few glitches
"Overall this is a superb hotel, up to the standards of just about any other Hilton you might find around the world. It has two things that you rarely see in a hotel. First, the gym is brand new and fully-equipped (though a little cramped). Second, the bathtubs in the rooms are very deep and a good alternative to the jacuzzi (which will cost you 10-15 euro extra). The pool is also impressive because it has an entry ramp for kids and disabled people. The food was excellent and priced like other restaurants in the city. I didn't give it an "Excellent" rating because: 1) The mattresses are of poor quality (hard, with popping springs), and that's why you need to soak in their deep tubs. 2) The room TV's are not family friendly in the sense that they unscramble the porno channels for about 3 seconds at a time, and there was no way to disable these channels. 3) The service was unusually slow on three separate occasions. First, at check-in, they took one hour to figure out if they could provide us with a separate cot (they could not in the end). Second, it took about 45 minutes for them to prepare a hamburger at lunch. Third, when their CD player at the pool became stuck on a single track, everybody at the pool ended up listening to the same song for four hours straight because it took them four hours to find the keys that unlock the closet to their stereo system. 4) The room cleaning service disturbed us three times in one morning, despite the fact that we had the "Do not disturb" sign posted. In the end we had to ask the hotel manager to intervene."

Could be a great hotel if only...........
".....the service was improved!! We stayed on a business trip and struggled on two occasions during a three night stay to get a beer at the bar. On one occasion the pool bar shut at 5pm because of a function that didn't start until 9pm. The other time we couldn't get a drink from the inside bar delivered outside until the reception manager intervened. Not central enough to be a great business hotel. Pool facilities good though and breakfast offered a wide variety. Just needs to polish up on the service!"
