What a fantastic holiday!
"We spent a lovely relaxing peaceful week at GrandResort and would definitely go back...
Some of the staff need to work on their smiles, particularly a very rude waiter at breakfast who told us we were late - it was advertised as being served from 7-10am, and we were always there at least five minutes before ten am! The same waiter then told off two of the entertainments team for the same thing, which wasn't particularly professional.
There was a gambling convention on at the same time we would probably have avoided had we known - rowdy Hooray-Henry Brits who think they're God's gift and that we enjoyed the continual harping sound of their voice as much as they did.
We were a bit put out being asked to move from the poolside for three evenings in a row so they could set up weddings. I appreciate that the hotel is a wedding venue, but THREE in ONE weekend!! Plus there was broken glass around the poolside the next day and a little boy cut his foot.
Anyway, I'm getting the bad stuff out of the way to get onto the good. The food was always superb - lots of offer at breakfast for example - we ate out almost every evening, but enjoyed breakfast and lunch, and two dinners there. The dress codes are a little ambiguous and, it seems, presumptuous, because no one seemed to obey it in one bar area we visited.
Stunning hotel, extremely clean, our room was beautiful and I definitely recommend paying extra for a seaview. We made use of the balcony in the evenings and watching the sun set over the coast is extremely relaxing with a mini-bar beer. The cleaning staff were always amenable to our mid morning 'snoozes' and happily worked around us, which isn't always the case when they have hundreds of rooms to get clean. The beach area was private and (for the most part) peaceful. We always managed to find sun-loungers easily within range and avaiable sun and shade at the appropriate times.
The shop was reasonably stocked with snacks and postcards, but the English books were exorbitantly priced (I read continually and take at least 5 books with me but usually run out!)
We totally recommend Chesters opposite for lunch, but for the perfect dinner every time, with amazing and FANTASTIC service, you simply MUST go to Embers Restaurant. The owner and staff cannot do enough to please, and the food is out of this world."

good family hotel
"above average hotel, excellent for familys, staff all very polite & always smiling, nothing to much trouble.
breakfast has an excellent choice of everything, lots of resturants to choose from, our favorite was the Japanese one which we ate in on both nights of our stay. EXCELLENT food & courteous staff.
one of the only hotels i know with coffee & tea making facilitys.
The only down side was the TV, they had a problem with the sattelitte which was annoying as always nice to relax in front of before dinner!"

Absolutely fabulous hotel
"The setting of the Grand Resort is fantastic. Thre are some lovely restaurants in particular the Anthea and the Japanese restaurant. The restaurant Manager was focused, brilliant and attended to every whim we had, even producing pancakes with orange syrup immediately for my daughter. I have to mention Ronnie in the bar, tina in the restaurant and the Pool man Elias who made our stay very memorable. The setting is delightful and the pool fabulous just right and spot on the beach. The hotel was clean and has teasmades in room an improvement.
We were invited to a cocktail party each Tuesday for free champagne and canapes followed by an entertaining evening with a magician.
Only one comment. Needs more entertainment for a longer period i.e. dancing, maybe comedian to actually be entertained in the evening for longer.
Would indeed go again."

"We visited the Grand Resort for 2 wks (jun-jul). The hotel itself is fabulous, the public areas are spotless and the service generally great - we had a couple of grumpy waiters.
Every tues you are invited to have Champagne and Canapes with the management which is a great idea and an opportunity to inform them of anything you feel needs improving.. They are more than happy to help you, make your stay memorable for the right reasons.
The rooms are a good size and the sea view beautiful!
Food and drink are quite pricey but what you would expect in a 5*.
The Ethnic Lounge is great for quiet drinks in the evening and although we didn't see much of the entertainment availabl, the Magician is excellent! and worth a watch.
The hotel is situated about a 20 min taxi ride from main Limassol town which was a relief as I wouldn't recommend staying there (grotty). Having said that if you take a taxi to the 'castle' in the evening it is surrouded by superb restaurants. We had some of our best meals there.
Just across the road from the hotel there are some great places, Chesters for drinks and sports, Santanas for a lovely meal (recommend Meze) and great friendly service from the owners. But have to say Manzalinos (italian) was by far the best of all, we went 3 times!! Excellent food, Excellent service. Its opposite the hotel next door - Elias Beach.
All in all the Grand Resort is a great hotel and I would'nt hesitate to recommend it to anyone who was visiting Limassol. I would definately return!"

Great time at the GrandResort
"We have had several holidays in the GrandResort (formerly Hawaii Grand) hotel and have never been disappointed. Many of the staff and management are the same and remember you as a return guest making you feel very welcome. There are also several return guests who are very friendly. The food is delicious and the choices are of a huge variety. On occasions we have had room service and the quality of food and service is excellent. The pool area is very clean with plenty of room; there are options to either sit by the pool, in the shaded garden or on the beach. The GrandResort has a lovely sunbathing beach which is regularly cleaned and maintained. At the pool area you are able to get refreshments, ice creams and lunches throughout the day. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the management have acted on the guest questionnaires and made several improvements in recent years. The hotel is situated at the end of Limassol, however a trip to town is only a bus or taxi ride away. This hotel is for sure deserving of its 5 stars, and retains its homely welcoming feeling. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Canât wait for our next holiday."

"This truly is a great hotel. Definately 5*. Great Service, fantatstic food and a peaceful location. We loved the hotel so much we spent most of our time in it, which is a first for us. We recommend the hotel for couples looking for a paeaceful and relaxing holiday. Try the Zen room opposite the hotel, fantastic Japanese food, especially the sushi. In short, we loved our stay here and recommend to anyone looking for that hotel with that little bit more."

Love Cyprus and Grand Resort hotel.
"I stayed in Hawaii(Grand Resort Hotel) many times before and i always like it. This time i have been there on a business trip and i really enjoyed the new renovated facilities that the hotel has done. The spa is completely renovated and its more than my expectations. The internet facility had a major renovation and unlike the guest below i purchased from my room through a cable and use it in all public areas such as lobby, restaurant and outdoor pool bar with wifi. The internet was way better than all the times i stayed in the hotel before and this time it was a really high speed internet specially from today May.22. I was told from the reception that the internet line was upgraded today because the last 2-3 days there was an extremely high demand of Internet usage in the hotel because of the new Group of guests they have from an online company. The weather in cyprus is excellent. The beach was very nice and i got some nice tanning!!"

Not as good as it seems
"Overall ok. Was quite displeased that they charge you for surfing the Internet seperately for the room and the lobby. I am being charged 20 Euros a day for Internet connection in the room and if u want to surf in the lobby u have to pay additionally.
This is ridiculous.....
Wouldn't stay here again"

Out of this world!
"We stayed in the Grand resort from 16th - 30th April 2008. We went to Cyprus to get married and picked this hotel as it was decently proced and looked beautiful!
On arrival we were met at the door by a porter who tooks our suitcases to our room, as we were being married we had a room upgrade to a sea view room, (amazing views) champagne on arrival and a complimentary meal!
The hotel is spotless, beautifully decorated and the staff are so friendly! We were actually shocked as to how perfect our stay was! The food is great although we only went B & B because we like to try other restaurants but would of been happy to be half board!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but would advise that at this time of year there is not much for children to do!
We will be returning to the Grand Resort to renew our wedding vows in years to come!!!!"

Stayed at the Hawaii Grand for 2 nights...
"Stayed at the Hawaii Grand for 2 nights in July 2007.
Fantastic hotel with excellent standards & facilities. The hotel is located directly beside the beach with ample sunloungers, parasols etc. The main swimming pool is also located close to the beach.
The rooms were very comfortable with TV, mini-bar, safe, air-con, balcony etc. My room overlooked the pool area with fantastic views of the beach too.
The hotel has a lovely Japanese restaurant and outside drinks area. This is all decorated with dark, modern wooden furniture.
There is a fantastic Japanese restaurant opposite the hotel. There was a party of approx 20 people and all of the party enjoyed the food, it was the best Japanese I've ever had!
The hotel also has a health & beauty centre, spa, boutiques, shop etc on site. Also conference rooms. The food was beautiful and the staff very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good base in Limassol but with that little 'extra something'.

For a top class holiday the Hawaii grand...
"For a top class holiday the Hawaii grand is a must. The food is excellent the service second to none. There is a different selection of dinner each night e.g. Italian, French, Spanish, Mexican. The hotel pool is very spacious and the sea is only 10 metres from the hotel. This hotel is by far the best I have stayed in. There is also a fully kitted out gymnasium with professional instructors to help, a full spa complex is also available with massage and hairdressing."
