Very nice hotel
"Before going on holiday we read all the reviews and really didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! We stayed at the Louis hotel in Corfu a number of years ago and the Louis Princess in Larnaca was exactly the same - fabulous food. Breakfast and evening meals are in the main restaurant and offer a variety of very tasty dishes. They have themed food evenings all week. Don't miss the bbq night - fabulous! Lunch is served in the Beach restaurant and offer everything from salads and cold meats to cooked dishes. Always plenty of food on offer and always replenished. The hotel is only small, 138 rooms, but all bedrooms are clean, as are all the public areas and lounges. Some of the bathrooms are a bit tired looking but how long are you going to spend in them? The All Inclusive is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is perfectly safe for children as it is sandy (after a few stones)and only up to knee/thigh level, is lovely and warm and no seaweed. Entertainment in the evening is low key - but wasn't a problem for us as we enjoyed sitting in the lounge area meeting other guests. There are a number of bars and restaurants outside the hotel but the main resort is about a 45 minute walk away. My husband did a lot of diving whilst we were there and would recommend the Viking Dive Centre who were brilliant. Would we recomend this hotel? Most certainly if you want a good all inclusive hotel, with good food, and low key entertainment. Not one for you if you are a bit of a party animal. We would definitely go back as we had a fantastic time. "

Avoid this hotel and save yourself a lot of money
"The hotel dosent have any entertainment at all, it is located on a road approx 6 miles away from the town centre of Larnaca, the managers are very unfriendly, and they dont have anywhere to leave your luggage if you have a late flight, we are on a family holiday here in May 2010, a waste of money staying here a terrible hotel with poor facilities."

Just returned from this excellent hotel ...
"Just returned from this excellent hotel after staying for two weeks. The food was consistently of an excellent standard, the whole place was kept spotlessly clean, the staff were professional and polite at all times and very friendly. The entertainment was however very low key, so be prepared to play cards, chat with new found friends etc. most evenings. The kids club was enjoyed by our 8 year old. The area of Larnaca is not the most beautiful on the island, so a trip to other areas occasionally (Protaras, Aiya Napa) is nice. We went on the jeep safari to Famagusta, which was very informative regarding the history of the island. Get a cab from the airport rather than book transfers, should only be about 20 euros each way. Other than the entertainment, this hotel is 100% brilliant."

"Had a wonderful time at this hotel on all inclusive. The food was excellent and available all day. The evening entertainment needs to be upgraded and perhaps relocated nearer the main hotel. Drinks were also very good The only complaint we had was that the room we had was below the main water storage tanks and we could not sleep due to the noise from the pumps. When we complained they were not in the least surprised and offered us alternative rooms . We did not accept their first offer and after another two sleepless nights we were moved to a lovely quiet room. We have since e mailed the head ofice in Cyprus and also the Hotel manager. We received prompt replies apologising for the problems we had and informing us that the tanks etc were due to be removed in 2008. Apart from this it is an excellent hotel with very polite and helpful staff and all areas are kept spotless. If you are going out for the day an excellent packed lunch is available if you order it at reception the evening before We would certainly go back to this hotel if they carry out the improvements promised There are many hotels in the Louis Group and they should be very good if this one is is anything to go by. Enjoy your holiday "

Just got back from this WONDERFUL place....
"Just got back from this WONDERFUL place. It is clean, modern, peaceful and friendly. We had a garden room 20 meters from pool and approx 70 meters from sea. Food was fantastic and plenty of it - lunchtime rush a bit crazy but give it 30 mins and the crowds disperse - strange guest behaviour given food is available all day! Drinks & Bar Service were great chilled 1 ltr bottles of water available saving many repeat trips to the bar during day - even the local beer taste good. I knocked 1 point off for the entertainment - which isnt great. But a holiday is what you make of it and the fun our son had dancing with his new friends was more than enough to make up for this glitch. We didnt venture too many times from the hotel - really no need to. A couple of bars and shops across the street which seem decent enough and serve great cocktails! "

"I would advise people who have children not to go to this hotel as the kids club is awful and the entertainment is embarrassingly nonexistent. People who want a relaxing holiday should go there. The staff are good and the food is fantastic. Rooms are clean as is the pool. Not much to do outside of the hotel either - pretty glum in all honesty. Lots of German tourists stay at that hotel - they are rude and very dismissive of us English people which is rather annoying!!!! For the money we paid we could have got a lot elsewhere!"

"Having been to the Louis Imperial in Paphos the previous year, we were expecting the same high standard holiday. This was not completely the case, although the hotel is of a good quality always clean with friendly and helpful staff its major fault is the entertainment. The quality of entertainment was so very, very poor it was embarrassing. If you have children young or older do not come to this hotel there is just not enough things for them to do. If however you like just chilling at the pool (excellent) or beach (not situated on one of the best beaches in Cyprus as it says in the brochure) then by all means come or if you want a better time go to the Louis Imperial in Paphos. I sincerely hope that the Louis chain take note of its customer comments as this hotel could be better."

We have just returned from a fantastic h...
"We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Louis Princess Beach Hotel. The hotel is first class, always very clean, and excellent choice of food. We cannot fault the hotel, staff or cleanliness. This is definitely a "laze around the pool" holiday. The beach is very small and could be improved upon. There are stones to cross before you meet the sea. Once you are in the stones disappear and you can paddle out quite a distance and it is still only up to your hips. Great for kids though. The evening entertainment is still pretty much nonexistent, and for the very high standard of the hotel, this does let it down a little. We paid extra for the pool/sea view and itâs well worth it. We only ventured outside the hotel twice, once to walk along the beach (not much to see), and secondly to cross the road to the shop (a very busy road!). We were all inclusive and the hotel had everything we needed. We also got married whilst at the hotel. We should have married at Larnaca Town Hall, but it has not been rebuilt yet! It is in temporary rooms above the KFC, TGI Fridays & McDonalds! We didn't find this out until we arrived there 4 days before the wedding. The hotel does not normally hold weddings, but as we had been let down, and the venue was totally out of the question, they allowed us to hold the wedding in the grounds of the hotel. It was fantastic! They kept an area clear for us and provided champagne. They could not do enough to help. They made the wedding day a day to remember, and we could not thank them enough. We will most definitely return to this hotel in the future and would recommend it to friends and family."

"My husband and I spent 2 weeks at the Princess Beach Hotel in late June and early July when attending the wedding of friends. In total there were approximately 30 people in our party with ages ranging from 7 months to people in their 60's. The hotel is superb and we have never experienced such great service before. We stayed on the 3rd floor of the main hotel and the room was very spacious and had great air-conditioning and a fridge which was very useful for keeping bottles of water cold for drinking late at night or early in the morning when the bars were closed in the hotel. The food was excellent and every night there was something to suit everyone's taste. Each night there is a theme ranging from Italian to Cypriot to BBQ night at the beach restaurant once a week. Long trousers are a must for men in the evening, most of our party only had 3/4 length trousers and this was deemed not be acceptable! The evening entertainment is average but is at the outdoor beach bar - ensure to take plenty of mosquito repellent and antihistamine tablets! The pool is lovely but contrary to other reviews not as cold as I would have liked after laying in the baking sun.The kids in our party had a great time both in the pool and at the kids club which ran daily. There does not appear to be enough sunloungers for all the guests and as the beach is pebbly and has no sunloungers most guests tend to stay by the pool if they are having a relaxing day. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Vicky from Ukraine who works in the main bar, she made our stay there great fun! Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in, although there is not much to do in the surrounding area (which you have to cross a busy road to reach). Finally if you are a smoker and are buying cigarettes to bring back, the gift shop in the hotel will arrange to order in the brand and quantity you require saving the hassle of a trip into the main town."

"Food here excellent, the chief Elias special mussels fantastic. Hotel and around pool etc is kept pristine at all times. Rooms are clean and staff friendly and cannot do enough for you. Although the hotel is right on the beach its dark sand and to actually get into the sea you have to go over a lot of large pebbles. If you have small children hotel run kids club with Margarita is good. My children 10 and 11 this was our 3rd year at this hotel, we feel we have outgrown the hotel, as the evening entertainment really is non existent, apart from karaoke night. Be prepared to get up early for the sun beds. "

wouldn't go back to Larnaca !
"We choose this hotel for the Beach and Promenade as we love walking in the evenings, Hotel was Brilliant and so were the staff, it was just the location, the brochure says situated on a long sandy beach (What beach !!) it is just dirt and pebbles, very disappointing also no lucious green gardens as stated only weeds and stones also full of stray cats ! While we were there we had construction work being carried out from 7am to 6pm. Once you managed to get into the sea over all the pebbles (you need shoes) the water was lovely at 20c so spent most of our time in the water away from the noise, the weather was also great sun every day ! We would certainly go back to Cyprus but not to Larnaca. it is a shame that all of this has let the Hotel down as you couldn't fault the staff they were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food good but repeats after 7 days also men have to wear long trousers in the evening in the restaurant , will not let you in wearing shorts. going to Fig Tree Bay next year !"
