Do not EVER stay at PANAS
"Well where do I start? This was quite frankly the worst experience of my life...the staff were rude, one of the waiters made everyone physically sick as he walked past (he smelt that bad). The staff also constantly asked for tips and were very abrupt and didnt treat anyone with respect. The food tasted like dog food, basic and not one meal was satisfactory, the chips were always undercooked and if you cant get chips right I'm sure you can imagine the rest. The rooms were very basic, water supply constantly was out of use, also the shower was non-exsistent, more power in my little toe. Four people stayed in my room and they were adament we were only allowed one key even though we were exploring different locations on that day, holidays are meant to be relaxing but the hotel and staff and pansas did there best to ruin a well earned holiday. Disgusting to say the least, NEVER GO TO PANAS!!! Oh and the entertainment was appauling!!! "

We had a wonderful time in a wonderful hotel!
"Honestly I can`t understand why some people had reasons to complain about Panas Holiday Village. We just came back from Cyprus, after spending 10 days there. Everything was even better than we expected before. Very friendly staff, a huge room (very clean!), gorgeous buffets every day and lovely entertainment in the evening. It is perfect for families and for young people, too. We are a family with two "older" children and we had a great time. The pool was also huge and very clean. So we spent almost every day there or we we went to one of the beaches around. There were also many nice shops to do some souvenir-shopping or to get clothes, jewellery, toys for the kids and much more. For eating out we found many restaurants of all kinds. What I appreciated, FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST was available almost everywhere. Also in the hotel, just by the way. We booked "all-inclusive" and I can recommend this. Everything we enjoyed was free, breakfast, lunch, dinner and the snacks between. Also ice-cream in cones, very good! The guests, families, young couples and older people came from Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Russia, France, Austria and so on. Very well mixed, we liked it. I can recommend Panas Holiday Village to everybody who wants to enjoy a great holiday without spending too much money. It is suitable for all ages and you can believe me that we really felt like home. We go back for another holiday - that is for sure!"

We'll be back!
"My niece and I (39 and 50 respectively) spent 10 days at the Panas and enjoyed every minute of it. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The majority of the staff were lovely and friendly apart from the 'night receptionist' - think he need's a holiday!! But we got him to crack a smile in the end! We went self-catering and had a studio flat on the 1st floor, above the bar and entertainment area. During the day there was music playing (must take some different CD's out to them next time!) but it wasn't noisy and certainly wasn't noisy late at night either. The room was clean, comfortable and equipped for our needs. We had a lovely view looking out to the sea and it also overlooked the lovely swimming pool. We ate a couple of times there and was very happy with the food. The waiters and bar staff are lovely people and I think they enjoy it when you take time out to chat with them. (We did notice some rude guests there so I don't blame the staff if they got fed up with that!) All in all, we would definately go back there again, ideally the same time of year, as the weather was just bearable (in it's late 20's and peaked at 38!) - also everywhere is quieter before the main summer months begin."

"I stayed at this holiday village for 1 week in May and had a great time. A little worried as after booking, noted various reviews. But I found the accommodation excellent, swimming pool & area / Bar & resturant - great. The food was as expected, good variety and lots of it. It was a short walk approx 20mins to Ayia Napa harbour along a coastal path, which was used by numerous people, so quite safe. Although no lighting at night time, so use a taxi to come back. I would go back without hesitation."

Not as bad as people make out!
"We went here as a group of 7 girls looking for a good time in ayia napa! after reading reviews we were abit worried about the distance of the apartments from the main night life as people were saying '20 minute walk' 'had to cut through a potatoe field' i dont know which way these people were talking but this was not the case for us. if you make a left before you hit the main row of shops and restaurants your at the bottom of the strip in minutes. The total journey from panas to the strip is a nice 10minute stroll not so good if u want to be right in the middle of all the action but good if youd like abit of piece and quiet at night. however this is not always the case as we was situated outside the smaller one of 2 pools at the complex in which drunks liked to take a swim in at 5 in the morning. (the windows are very thin so if you are extremely sleep deprived as i was this is not good!) luckily sercurity guards patrol the area at night so they'll soon kick them out. (fun when it's not you, not so good when we wanted to jump in the pool some nights!) The main pool is really big, clean and nice music is played but it's nothing worth listening to. There is a small beach about 5mins walk down the back of panas but it's nothing special however we took a banana boat ride there and the man is lethal! so watch out for that and do not go on if your faint hearted!! Nissi beach and water park are a taxi ride away which is annoying for beach lovers but the water was too salty for me. the waterpark is a must! great day out but around 20euros. There may have been another beach nearer to the centre but we never found it. As for the rooms they were hardly cleaned AT ALL. most nights were spent in yucky sandy sheets and mucky floors. Although extremely spacious there was an extreme lack of storage space. enough for2 people but not a group of 4 like us. and the 2 beds in the living area were smaller than usual single beds. The shower always had hot water which was good and the safe and aircon are well worth paying for. taxis are quite expensive they pretty much want 10euros to take you anywhere. i wound recommend quads for getting around as most people do and they are so much fun! all you need to take is a provisional lisence and u can get one. Restuarants are pretty non exsistant no one really goes out to eat at night it's more like mcdonalds, burger king, kfc, pizza hut etc. & theres not really much to do in the day at all which i disliked. The PRs at night get really annoying trying to drag you in bars and make you buy club tickets one became really nasty. There are so many bars and night clubs though the strip goes on forever. The hotel staff were moody and unfriendly buy luckily the complex is split up into lots of little buildings so you dont have to see them. overall don't worry, expect a short walk to the strip but it wont be as bad as expected. hols to panas village
"My friend and I went to cyprus for a break without the family, We didnt arrive until early hours of the morning and when we arrived after our flight being delayed there wasnt anywhere we could get a drink from. The hotel rooms were large and very clean, but we didnt realize until we went down to breakfast that it was all elderly people and we had some strange stares, as we were the youngest and we are both 40. WE also booked a trip ( jeep Safari with the hotels in house trip organizer . Leah she sold this trip to be one of the best and in fact it was a terrible day the driver was rude , and had stepped in for someone on the day and he made his feelings made that he didnt want to be doing this trip. This trip really isnt worth the money that we paid 120 euros. I wouldnt return to cyprus, maybe if someone gave us a free holiday thats the only time I would return............. Angie & michelle"

Do not go here!!!!
"Me and my boyfriend booked this holiday back in June, and were excited as it got closer! We booked it through Olympic Holidays, who we have used for several years now and thought were very good, however that was wrong!! When we arrived (10:00 pm) we was told that food would be avaliable for us, when we went to reception we asked about food and was told there were sandwiches avaliable, when we went to the bar the waiter just laughed and said "no food left!", great start considering we had paid £1500 to stay all inclusive!! So we had a drink and had to go in search for a restaurant at 11:00pm!! We paid for our meal the first night, which is a joke as we were all inclusive! The next day we went down to breakfast, which was ok. The usual bacon, egg, cereal and toast etc..this was the only decent meal!! We decided to go out and explore the beaches and walked to a near by beach. When we arrived back we felt a bit peckish! So we went to see what was for the "snack meals" as I was told there was a menu to choose from. This however is not true!! On offer was sweaty omlettes and chips, with a side piece of lettuce and onion! NO THANK YOU! YUK! It look digusting! All sweaty and old!! So again we headed out to the local supermarket to BUY some snacks! When dinner came we decided to go down early, as we hadnt eaten since 8 in the morning. Well dinner...what can I say?! It looked like bones in sauce and I tell you what, I wouldnt even feed it to my dog! So every night of our holiday we had to go out and eat and pay! This is such a terrible place for food and the staff were so rude! I really cannot express how horrible this was, I was in tears everyday and wanted to come home! The air conditioning broke, and as you can imagine it was baking!! a load of water came out of the unit and soaked my entire suitcase, and the apartment! There was more water in our room than in the swimming pool!! We had to wait 2 hours for someone to bring a mop...and someone to come and look at the machine! To which the man blew down a pipe and all the water came out into the cupboard!! Great fun, hey!! Do not use any of their facilities downstairs, the shower doors to do not shut and neither do the toilet doors! so no privacy while your trying to get ready to go home!! I was so glad to be back in England, this was the worst holiday I have had!! Please avoid!! I am not exaggerating!!! It was terrible!! Not one good point about this place at all!!!"

"Were do you begin, went with all friends - best holiday I have ever been on - but this hotel was an absolute nightmare. I'm 22 years of age and was treated like dirt every member of staff was rude and very unhelpfull - the only nice person that worked in the hotel was the maid who would have done anything to help you and was always very pleasant. On arrival to the hotel, we were giving a lecture from the reception about the rules and regulations of the hotel - thought I was on a residential with school. When asking to rent a safety deposit box he said that he was too busy and to come back in the morning, but as we were so persistant that we would like to store are personal belongings away safe, he agreed but was very rude about it. The food was rotten and the prices in the hotel were a disgrace!!!!!!! I will definately return to Napa as it was brilliant but as for Panas it is a NO NO!!!!! "

"There was nothing bad to say about the room, daytimeroom and bedroom. The only thing I has to say is that, a lot of, wery young, boys did what they could, to keep us all from sleping ! Not very smart when the hotel is sold as a family-hotel. Any complains about this was not taken seriusly...... A shame......."

"Having lived in Cyprus for Two years with the Army, We were very disappointed with the whole Cyprus thing, when we booked this holiday we wanted a property on the beach, in the Air tours brochure this is exactly what it shows and states. This was found not to be true, I stood in exact spot from where the photo was taken for the brochure and took a photo myself; grass not sand I got on my photo, but a few minutes from the hotel (2 hotels down) there was a shingle beach with plenty of large sharp rocks. Nissi Beach was the same as I remember, golden sands and plenty of people, the highlight of our days on the beach was the guy selling sexy juice, which was frozen fruit juice, I didn't let the hotel spoil our holiday as we went back to Cyprus to see friends and pay our respects to the lads of the 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards who were killed in an accident on Mt Troodos. The Sage restaurant was an excellent place to have something to eat, the Chinese restaurant (on the same side of the road as McDonalds and Pizza Hut). If you are paying to stay in a 4 * property do not stay at the Panas as this is pushing to be a 2*. Entertainment is something you see at your local Karaoke, the bar staff ignore you if you are not all inclusive, the pool is like a cattle market people hustling and bustling to get a spot as there are not enough bed for the size of the complex. I have never been on a holiday where I have spent so much money for so little, I don't complain about where I have stayed, but this place I felt I owed it to anyone who thinks of going, don't say you haven't been warned "

"For a 4 star hotel I would class it as a 3 star. Room very basic you pay 10 pounds for remote for air conditioning and 10 pounds for TV remote. Lovely location, pool nice and big, surrounded by nicely kept gardens. The food a total let down as we paid for all inclusive. It was a waste of money. There was beef, chicken, lamb served in watery sauces with silly names, which was always cold and the kids buffet was served in a cooking dish and it was always cold and all shrivelled up. All inclusive doesnât mean all inclusive at this hotel, there where extras on show which all inclusive had to pay for e.g. slushes, ice-lollies, bottled cold water. The entertainment for kids was mini disco with the same songs every night, then other entertainment came on, the illusionist was the best but on the whole the entertainment was not very good. Snacks on offer[what snacks]. Overall this holiday was a total let down, after paying two thousand four hundred pounds for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 weeks, we will not be going back to this hotel."

"The rooms wasnât very modern but still was fantastic. We was situated around the smaller pool across the road, at first we didnât like the idea of been over the road, but we actually really liked been there, away from the noise and could use the pool when it wasnât busy. The hotel was always kept clean and tidy. I didnât like the food but I donât like foreign food, the people I went with really like the food though. The bar was great and Adrian was superb. He worked morning till night and was very quick and friendly at serving. The entertainer Zoë was brilliant, most of the time she was on her own but she managed and always kept us entertained, e.g. she was told a live act was booked for 9:30 and was told to cancel what she had planned for the night and was also told she could leave early to go to her works beach party. The act didnât arrive until after 12 but she stayed until 11 when all the guest told her to go to the party, she made sure we knew how to put music on before she went. Zoë was great!!!!!!!!!!! The reception staff was the complete opposite, they was extremely rude. Three of our all-inclusive bands snapped during our stay, and it says in the welcome pack that if you 'loose' your band it will cost £2 to replace, but we didnât loose the bands we still had then and they still wanted to charge us, but we refused and got them for free. Ayia Napa is full of things to do for the hole family, with a fair only 15 mins away (depending on how slow you walk) you mite also think that with it being a clubbing town it will be noisy, but although the hotel is fairly close you cant hear a thing. You have to visit Panas tourist village, one of the best holidays I have had "
