Best holiday ever!

"After reading some awful reviews we were really worried about staying here for 2 weeks but we had the best time ever! Some reviews are just ridiculous. Ants? yes, your in Cyprus!!! Bellini is run by Cristina and her husband Skevos. The have one cleaner who cleans all 15 apartments every 1-2 days. This place is lovely and we will be definitely be going back. Strip club is at the end of the road yes, but not next door. You cant hear it and its all kept indoors anyways so it doesn't bother anybody.
Main facts- Clean apartments/Bedding etc. Lovely pool area and lovely food and drinks served at pool bar. Nissi beach a 15-20 min stroll. Strip for all the bars is around 15 minutesstroll or 5mins in taxi. Perfectly safe to walk and its all lit up.
First time in Cyprus and will definitely be going back. To the bad reviews on here- book a 4*expensive holiday instead and stop moaning about the cheap ones! "

Disgusting Bellini Bungalows.

"There are far too many bad things to write about this place. My wife and I were in room 101, the worst room by far at the complex.
When we arrived we were given the key and that person then left. Our room was filthy, and the bins were still full of the last occupants rubbish.
We did not see a cleaner for 3 days. There is far more I could say about this awful place, but as we complained when we arrived home, we were practically called liars by Olympic holidays. We were there in September 2010, and the temperature was in the high 90's. They wanted 100 euros for air con, and we could not afford it, so we suffered the heat of the night trying to sleep. Our worst holiday in 50 years. "

"Me and hubby are going back to the Bellini Bungalows on the 20th Aug this year for a week, and we have also booked to go back again (for the 3rd time) next year year for 2 weeks, in the same apartment.

The whole of the complex is clean, the pool cleaner is out every morning before 7am, and all the staff are very friendly. The apartments are kept clean and tidy, and any problems reported are dealt with immediately.

Anyone who says anything otherwise really should not moan, as you get what you pay for. The Bellini is only 2 star rating, but is kept clean at all times."

"Here are the facts. It's up to you what you take from it.
The bar shut at 9.30pm
The reception shut at 9.30pm so you can't leave your key for ur pal
The pool loungers were really dirty
The woman at reception is a moan
The room was crawling with ants
I had to unplug a dodgy looking wire-poking out fridge plug to put the toaster on so I was doomed if I forgot to put it back on.
The balcony was never cleaned when we stayed there
The walk from the main street was so dark, I almost stood on a dead cat
You don't get any bother from the Strip Club next door"

Don't do it!

"We arrived at the Bellini at 8.00pm at night after a long day travelling, we met the girl on the reception and she said she would be there for only half an hour longer, not great if we needed anything. In fact she was the only member of staff they seemed to have as she was there most days from 9am-9pm,(probably why she was so grumpy)except when the scottish lady was there occasionally.

In general the room was ok, very basic (as to be expected in Cyprus) but very outdated with green curtains and pink walls and a marble floor. The floor was dirty and the toilet was broken when we arrived and we had to do a DIY fix on that. The water didn't drain from the bath which had the shower over it for about half an hour, so they need to get some mr muscle!! The bath and sink were quite dirty even though the maid came in a lot, at least every other day, she didn't really seem to clean but changed the toilet bin. We got fresh sheets and towels three times whilst we were there in two weeks.

The location wasn't great really although we had no problems from the strip club outside. There is a beach at the end of the road which is ok, but when you go into the sea it is all rocks and no sand which hurts your feet. Sandy bay beach is about a further 10 mins walk from that and Nissi beach is a further 10 mins on from that. There is also Nelia beach near the centre which is about 20-25 mins walk which isn't much fun in the heat. That said there is a taxi station opposite the apartments, but depends if you want to keep paying out for them when everything is so expensive. It's safe to say that the Bellini is in the middle of everything but close to nothing. The centre is a 15 min walk away if you walk fast and thats going left past the mexican.

We also had money stolen from our room twice whilst we were there which was obviously by the staff as no sign of any break in... Staff were obviously watching us around the pool to check when we were in there. Both times were when we had been rushing for some reason and just left money in the wallet, even though it was hidden. Our fault I know but you just don't expect staff to steal from you, espcailly when they have to rummage for it!!!!!! 50euro each time even if there was considerably more money in there, i guess they expected you not to notice. The first time we presumed it was the maid, but I certainly don't think it was her the second time as there was family of the receptionist around as was a Saturday and the maid had already been in. To be fair this put a bit of a downer on our last night, but nothing we could do except accuse!!?

To be fair I wouldn't recommend Olympic either because I didn't see the rep once in two weeks as the only times she was there was around 9am in the morning when we weren't awake!! I wouldn't go back to Bellini if you paid me, it looks nice from the outside, but the rooms just aren't nice and the location isn't good either. The pool was an ok size for the amount of people but dirty, with rubbish, chunks of hair and (lots) of bits off the trees in there! The food is ok, but quite expensive for what it was and drinks were quite expensive too. Air conditioning was 6euro per day and she made us pay for the last day even though we were only there for 3 hours of it. It was absolutely dead on an evening after they locked up the reception. It was probably the least lively place i've ever been in my life and they left it with very few lights on at night so it wasn't nice to walk back into.

You would be crazy to pay the money to stay here, go and stay somewhere nicer and closer to the beach and the centre. My advice would be to go with a different tour operator also. Although we didn't like where we were staying we love Cyprus, it is brilliant and will definately go back, just not back to the Bellini!!!"

"Me n my m8 Jim went to Ayia napa have a good time!

This was a great place to stay! it wasn't fantastically close to the strip or the beach but no too far away + riding mopeds out there was fun!! The apartment was very roomy and had 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed also the option of A/C. The staff were nice enough the great thing was after 10pm they would leave so you won't have to be worry about waking them up when you bring back a friend you might meet! The pool was nice aswell!
Overall if i go to ayia napa again i would return to bellini!

"A mate and I were redirected from other accomodation to Bellini, as it was dark could not at first make a comment on the apartment. On the next morning awoke to lovely sunshine, the apartment was clean, tidy with every think we needed to cater for our needs. The cleaner was prompt and helpfull, plenty of shops and eating places for food etc. Quiet and secluded with private terrace and comunal pool. Essentialy we went for sun and booze and we got it all. Special thanks to Neil and friends at the bar, going back again Sept 2009."

"We would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone! We'd stay here again. The walk from the road side to the apartments takes all of 2 minutes, but it's far enough away from the main road for a lovely peaceful evening but close enough to everything as well. Anyone who says these apartments are a dump are completely wrong - they are well kept, clean and tidy.

We arrived on the Sunday morning at 7.30am and the holiday rep let us in as the reception opens at 9am. We were very surprised at how large the 1-bed apartment was and how clean it was. We met with our rep Ross at 11.30am that morning, and he told us that Olympic had made the apartment owners aware that we were on honeymoon and were given a discount for a couple of days on the drinks, which we thought was lovely. The cleaner came in every 3 days, which was plenty for us, she left us a can of ant killer in case we needed it, but we didn't fortunately. The pool area was just the right size for 15 apartments with plenty of sunbeds. We found the food and drink prices a little pricey, but it didn't put us off buying them tho. The owners and staff were very polite and very helpful. They bought us a little wedding present and a lovely card. We weren't invaded by any cats - I was looking forward to seeing a few, but none ever came by the apartments.

The kitchen area was basic, but when you're self catering, you don't need a big kitchen as you're only doing snacks before going out for an evening meal. We took our own travel kettle fortunately as we didn't have one in the apartment. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. We also had been left a tea towel in the apartment. There was a normal sized fridge, which we filled with plenty of sandwhich stuff and booze.

The walking distance from the apartments to the pedestrianised bit where the restaurants and bars start only took us 10 minutes, going up via the Iphigenia Apartments.

Overall, these apartments are very well looked after, staff very helpful and friendly, and made you feel very welcome.

We can't wait to go back again.

"Just returned from 2weeks at the Bellini Bungalows, had a really good time, the apartments are very basic, but cleaned enough times throughout our stay, the kitchen does not have much work space at all for preparing food so wouldnt be good for people wishing to eat at the apartments. The pool area is small, but the correct size for such a small amount of apartments, never had any problem with getting a sunbed seemed to always be enough for everyone.

Also the safety deposit boxes are in the main reception, i was a bit worried about this before we got there, but the reception is locked up secure every night when they close up. The air cond i highly reccomend purchasing, it is needed, the rooms otherwise are an absalute nightmare and unbearable to sleep in, dont be put off by the size of the air cond machine it is rather small but trust me it kicks off some cold air, it cost between us 110 euro for the safe and air cond for 2weeks, which is rather expensive but wouldnt of went without getting them both.

The reception was only open 9am-9pm which didnt cause a problem when we stayed there, but maybe wouldnt be so good for others. The food is really good, plenty of choice sandwichs, omlettes, pizzas etc, although the drinks wher a little bit pricey, apart from the cocktails that are 2 euro which is rather good. you are also asked not to bring any food or drink around the pool area that you have not bought from the bar, which i found quite stupid as the holiday was self catering! but most people ust to hide there drinks in a bag and the staff wouldnt notice.

The manager is pleasent didnt speak much but polite, the scottish lady who serves the food and drinks is really nice always chatting to you when you go to the bar. There is a waterfootball place next door to the apartments which can become rather noisy at 7oclock with alot of people being around there, this didnt bother us but may with others who are near it. The strip club didnt show any problems, we saw a few locals going in and out but nothing of an issue, also a good guidance for finding your apartments on the way back from the strip.

The centre of Ayia Napa is about 10minutes away understanding that the heat never went below 30 degrees on a night, this is if you go the short cut way, which is left down past the mexican restaurant, dont go the other way as we soon found out this way is alot more quicker and saves atleast 20minutes.

All in all we found the holiday a really good experience, really relaxing through the day and a pleasent place to stay. The staff are friendly and we had no problems what so ever with them. I would go back to cyprus but found the main strip to be too over priced after 11pm and on that account would rather stay is protarus as the food and drink seems to be alot more cheaper, with a more relaxed atmosphere. "It is quite a quiet apartment complex but this is no bad thing after only returning (quietly at 0300hrs most nights). We found the cleanliness superb. Ours was changed every day. Fresh bedding, Fresh towels. The curtains could be a little darker as we were sometimes up with the sun. This really is not a bad thing as you want to enjoy the most out of your holiday and not stay in bed all day. On your way into town Gary's bar does a fantastic full breakfast. Especially as the beach is only 5 mins walk away.15 mins from the square if you wear heeled shoes. We had friends staying, at the time in more central accommodation and they found it rather noisy. Bellini is great for chilling and charging your batteries during the day, to get ready for the night. Staff very helpful and friendly and taxi home easy as just direct them to TOGA TOGA balloon next door. We only saw 1 person go into TOGA TOGA all our 2 wks we were their so don't be put off by it's location
my first time in Cyprus. Can not wait to go again as it is out of this world."
