Fabulous place - just go!
"We also stayed at the Hotel Kazbek from 26 May - 2 June and I would thoroughly agree with everything Mark SE1 says - its a magical place. We also stayed in the same deluxe room and we also went to Orsan restaurant. We actually travelled with "Completely Croatia" and were really pleased with their recommendation. The staff at the Kazbek are some of the best we have met anywhere - a real asset!"

A haven in beautiful Dubrovnik
"We had the pleasure of staying at the hotel Kazbek for a long weekend. The choice was superb, while not being located in the heart of the City it more than made up for this with a beautifully restored hotel of only 13 rooms, where no expense has been spared and where the service was just as immaculate.
We chose the Deluxe room which was huge with double aspect windows looking over both the pool and the bay. It was fitted with every modern convenience and with a dressing area and beautifully fitted bathroom.
The location for us was exactly what we had wanted, only a 25 minute walk from the sites of the old town but in a peaceful residential neighbourhood overlooking a lovely bay. Breakfast is served in the dining area or outside on the terrace, this is where we ate as the weather was perfect. Breakfast consisted of fresh pastries, cereal, fruit and eggs of your choice. Every day it was excellent and served in the friendly manner that is the signature style of all the staff.
The pool area was an absolute pleasure after a days hard sight seeing. We had it all to ourselves on the 3 occassions we had to relax by it.
The staff could not have been more helpful from my initial enquiries, to booking taxis, local sites, restaurant recommendations etc and did anything to make our stay a pleasurable one.
I would whole heartedly reccomend this beautiful boutique hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break to the wonderful City of Dubrovnik.
Tip: Try the restaurant Orsan at the at the local yacht club a hundred yards from the gates of the hotel. Our meal was beautiful and relaxing by the lapping waters as the yachts bob in the water is a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon or evening."

Hotel Kazbek, one of my most favourite hotels of all time, magical
"I couldn't praise this hotel enough, it was well beyond our expections. Five star luxury, elegant, charming, quiet, has very helpful and friendly staff and we got two nights with the third night free. Our flight got diverted to Split so we had a two hour coach ride back to Dubrovnik, so we rang them to let them know it would be midnight before we arrived, but when we did they were there to greet us , take our cases up to our gorgeous room and there was a plate of food and a basket of fruit waiting for us. They definately have the personal touch and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this truly wonderful hotel. We will definately be going again, but perhaps in September, when the weather is warmer. A true gem!!!"

Outstanding! - What a find!!
"A beautiful small hotel with very friendly knowledgable professional staff who create a great atmosphere. Excellent facilities and clean comfortable and well appointed rooms with outstanding housekeeping. Superb restaurant with superb dishes all made with local produce and with fantastic croatian wines (be sure to try them) - we had intended to eat out on at least a couple of nights but after having eaten in the restaurant our first night we had to go back every night! If only all waiters could be like those in the Kazbek!!!
The hotel is well situated in Lapad with views over the harbour and small marina and within walking distance of the old town (we walked in on a couple of days) or if your feeling lazy its only a short bus or taxi ride.
We can't speak highly enough of this hotel it's everything a hotel should be but something you find very rarely especially at this price - not cheap but outstanding value for money. If you're going to Dubrovnik this is the place to stay"

Exceptional service in a beautiful boutique hotel
"We had a fantastic 2 days in the hotel Kazbek. The staff were brilliant and made our trip feel very special. Before arriving, they were very helpful in assisting me to arrange a few surprises for my girlfriend (now fiancee). I could not fault anything about the hotel or staff, even if i tried. The location in Lapad suited us as it was away from the hectic old town but only 6 or 7 euro in a taxi away. The place is very relaxed, and the staff clearly love to work there, from the care the waiter took with his cappuccinos in the morning to the pride the crew of the yacht we rented had in their beautiful vessel. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

brilliant, staff, rooms, views, service - don't miss out
"This little hotel is so near the old town of Dubrovnik that we took a short boat ride - from the hotel -mto the old town. The hotel has stunning views across the harbour and is within strolling distance of local cafes/restaurants.
The staff are absolutely brilliant. The rooms are lovely. The pool is to die for. Go there soon before everyone hears about it."

Superb, personal, service in a wonderful location
"With a small number of rooms, the standard of service here was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it almost felt as if you were a guest at a friends home. The excellent staff made you feel at ease and were the major factor in creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. The standard for us was set with a magical arrival at night with the hotel beautifully lit. Our room under the eves was spacious with a very good bathroom. The pool was secluded and always quiet - counting the loungers set out around the pool, there would be enough space in the unlikely event of every guest descending on the pool at the same time!
Cocktails on the terrace at sunset overlooking the harbour were a highlight of each evening.
It is certainly somewhere we would return to without hesitation."

Absolutely recommended - amazing boutique hotel
"My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Kazbek after our fully pre-paid, reserved room at the Dubrovnik Palace was cancelled on the morning of our arrival by the DP staff. Fortunately, we were re-booked at this hotel, and I am so glad that we stayed here instead! It is an amazing, small boutique hotel that was beautifully restored and has only been opened a year (the anniversary party was last week on the day we unfortunately had to leave!). Upon arrival, the staff who helped us checked in gave us a full tour and even showed us pictures of the old mansion before its renovation. Not only were the facilities - the room, bathroom, restaurant, deck, and gorgeous pool area - amazing, but the staff were so very friendly and accomodating. They helped us so much with our stay in Dubrovnik and made the trip that much more special. I would highly, highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel."

A romantic boutique-like manor...gorgeously rennovated
"My husband and I stayed at this lovely property. It has the feel of an elegant manor, rich in history and beautifully renovated, both inside and out ,each of the twelve rooms different and special. It's so charming, and not crowded...we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves...romantic little places tucked away for drinks or conversations...The attention to detail is incredible...from the fireplace in the lovely sitting room, to the dining room, the pool areas and the rooms themselves. The art work, flooring, and tiling all flow and you know you staying someplace special! The service is 5 star...........the bedding is fabulous, and the extras are amazing..the private pool , access to the two boats in the harbor, high speed in the rooms, fabulous bathroom, ours had both a tub and a shower...restaurant, bar areas.......the pool area is divine...so private, cozy, comfortable walled for privacy, beautifully landscaped. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone...and we will return."

EXCLUSIVE EXCELLENT HOTEL
"My wife and I have stayed at many top hotels in Europe and the US-the Kazbek is on a par with any of them.On our first night we were the only guests and were treated like royalty by the staff. The room was well appointed with views over the swimming pool and the sea.Breakfast and dinner were superb and the staff both at reception and the waiters could not have been more helpful giving useful advice on eg ferries and places to go.
The one drawback is that the hotel is some 3km from the Old Town which means a bus or taxi if you wish to visit. It is however convenient for the ferry terminal if you wish to visit the Dalmatian Islands.
We would certainly stay there again."
