Nice and chilled
"Stayed at the Tiara Beach at the beginning of August and it was lovely. Reception staff are friendly, speak very good english and cannot do enough for you. One of the women there even dragged out our Thomas Cook holiday rep to the pool to see us when we repeatedly couldn't find her!!!
Room was nice and spacious and couldn't be faulted. Unfortunately ours was at the front of the hotel so the view was not great (over the supermarket opposite) but the main road could not be heard luckily.
The main part of town is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel but this is good as you miss all the noise in the evenings!
Pool was large, if not cold! Would have been better if the kids in there could control their huge inflatables!
Overall the holiday was lovely and chilled, not as busy as we were expecting but this was a good thing, and the hotel was lovely.
Would recommend it to anyone, a trip to Khan's Tent is also a must!"

Best holiday ever...
"Had the best time at the Tiara Beach. Hotel immaculate, maids never stop cleaning, reception staff helpful, Georgi and Grigor in the Lobby Bar lovely people who speak very good English. Hotel close to beach and approx 10 mins walk to 'hustle and bustle' of the centre.
Hope to make a return visit very soon. 10/10"

Good Hotel, well worth the money!
"Tiara beach is better than the 4 star rating it currently has. The room was immaculate, cleaned every day, only gripe was that the maid was trying to rush us on our last morning, she entered the room twice although we had the do not disturb sign on the door, we think she was after a tip 'cos we had 'carribbean style' towels and bedspread on the last day!!! Reception staff were very helpful and efficient as were the restaurant staff. The food was pretty good too, we were pleasantly surprised at the standard.
Service at the pool bar was a little erratic, if there werent any young attractive girls waiting you got served!
Sunny Beach itself is just OK, there are a lot of tacky shops selling cheap tat, however, the fake handbags are very good and very cheap! there are more Germans per square inch than there are in Berlin and they think they own the place!!! The bars are all the same really, the quality of the food isnt that good and the service not much better. Customer service in some bars is very good, but some are awful, they grunt at you and take a tip without asking. The beer is OK in that it refreshes you,(it was 121 degrees when we were there), but dont expect to get drunk on it!! Beer is on average 30/40p(about 70US cents) a pint, I drank 12 pints one day and I was still sober!!! Drink the bottled stuff, now that really does pack a punch! Its very cheap in the off licences and good wine is only 35p a bottle
Beware, some bars dont have toilets. Bulgaria has a long, long way to go to meet EU standards on many things, but, hey, it all adds up to the excitment of travelling to eastern Europe.
Not much to do there really, we went on an excursion to the mountain villages which was very good, it gives you an insight into just how poor Bulgaria is outside the resorts. Kotel and Jeravna were particularily nice.
A big must is Khan's Tent, book through your travel rep(its a lot less hassle). The trip costs about £25 (40 USD) which includes transport from/to your hotel, a 4 course meal, a bottle of wine per person and a fantastic show. I wont spoil it for you but if you go to Sunny Beach, you really should go to Khan's Tent, and its suitable for children too.
On the whole, Bulgarian people are quite poor but extremely friendly, and we are glad we went.
Bulgaria is up and coming, so be prepared....enjoy!"

"We stayed fro two nights at this modern and complete resorts on the black sea coast, although the usual period of most guests is at least of a week.
The rooms are large and spacious, also outdoor services (like the big swimming pool) are really satisfying. The hotel has mainly guests from Scandinavia and Germany and rarely annoying italians like us.
The beach is not in front of the hotel but quite easy to reach.
The value for price is excellent and the location is also very comfortable to reach (may be 20 mins by car to Burgas and to the airport)."

"Arrived at Bourgas airport in the early hours of the morning. Flight was with Balkan Holidays, which was an experience with a stale roll and carrot for tea. Flight home was much better. As we had booked independently we had to get a taxi from the airport which cost 55 leva - about £20 with the taxi driver saying its a fixed price - he wasn't very nice.
Hotel was very clean and looked impressive, although there was a few wires here and there. The room was spacious with aircon, mini bar, tv and a double shower (no bath). As we had only booked 5 days before hand forgot to ask about seaview and no smoking room - so end up with a view of the mini market and a smoking room.
Found the food in the hotel to be excellent, always plenty of choice and it was hot. (not just chips and more chips)
One thing I found disappointing was reception I asked where there was a bank but they said they didn't know but that I could use my card there for a charge - i think it was 8% - i found a bank. Also I requested a map from them as I didn't have a holiday rep but hey struggled to get me one and only did so after I suggested they photocopied one.
I found the resort to be a skegness abroad but all in all it was a cheap holiday, weather was good and we got to relax!!
This hotel is on the southern side of the resort so you are far enough out to be away from the hussle and bussle but able to walk in if you want (took about 20 -30 minutes)."

"Have just returned from a week in Sunny Beach. As it is the end of the season it wasn't very "sunny" and a lot of the pubs/restaurants and shops closed down while we were still there. I must say, we felt really sorry for the holiday makers that wre still arriving in their droves as we were leaving.
The Tiara Beach has everything that is advertised and more. It is spotlessly clean as the cleaners are at it 24 hours a day. The rooms are very comfortable and roomy. We had a standard room which had two single beds and a sofa/bed, arm chair and coffee table which was great as we could have a drink in our room while we were getting ready to out and even a few games of cards !!
The dining room was very well layed out with a large selection of foods all of which were very tasty and varied.
Reception was the only let down as it also had the one and only bar in the hotel in it. As it was fairly quiet while we stayed there, I would not like to think how packed and smokey it must have been in the height of the summer. Still, the drinks were quite reasonably priced and the bar staff were great.
All in all, we can recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing enviroment but as for Sunny Beach itself we were very very dissapointed. It just seems to be pubs, restaurants and cheapie clothes shops, although the beach is first class."

Lovely Tiara Beach
"Sunny Beach is a very busy resort. This hotel is situated at one end and just off the main stretch so there is more privacy and less hustle and bustle outside. The staff were very friendly and polite and were always willing to help. The food does cater for the Germans mainly but there is so much choice. You help yourself so when it's busy the restaurant can be a bit noisy and stressful. The rooms were lovely and the maid service was excellent. There are two pools and the sunbeds get taken up quickly. Yes people do reserve the beds by putting a towel on them but the staff do monitor this and will remove any towels that have been left for an hour or more. You can change money at the hotel and the exchange rate is very good - ideal as you are advised against changing money at most of the places outside. There is internet facilities, a beauty parlour which offers massages and manicures etc, a shop, games room and a lounge with a TV. Overall I thought this was a lovely hotel."

Read the reviews before you choose
"I have just arrived from a vacation at the Iberostar Tiara Beach Hotel in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. First of all I would like to comment the Sunny Beach Resort: it´s a very crowded resort, with lots of hotels, shopping, restaurants and bars. In my opinion it´s a lot of conffusion, so if you are looking for a calm holidays dont choose this resort. But in other hand if you want a lot of ammusement and people this is the right place. Now, in relation to the hotel: the rooms are ok, a standard 4 star hotel. The room maids perform an execellent work. Overall the installations are good and the swimming pool is nice. The food is very good, especially the breakfast. Last year I have been in a 5 star hotel of Iberostar and the breakfast here is the same, very good. The things that I disliked are: there are not very qualified personnel at the foods hall, not very efficient nor kind. Althought, there are also very nice people there and the manager is excellent. The worst thing there is the people in vacation at that hotel. They are mainly Germans and they do a lot of noise. Its almost impossible to get a chair by the swimming pool because they reserve the chairs very early in the morning, although it is forbidden; they play in the pool with floating devices, etc. And at night the music is very loud, although it ends at 23pm.
Overall, I am not going to say that I do not reccomend this hotel. I just say choose it or not depending on what kind of holidays do you want to have. If you want a calm one, don´t choose it. Have a nice holidays!"

A very clean comfortable Hotel.
"The beds are the most comfortable we have slept in. The Hotel is kept spotlessly clean. The rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast. A chef fries your eggs or omlettes, theres bacon, sausages, beans, and loads of other stuff. Lunch. Beautifull fresh salads, chips (fries) chicken or burgers (veal) plenty of choice. Dinner. Sometimes a bit dissapointing but usually something for everyone. Plenty of fresh fruit allways availible. Lovely pool area with loads of sunbeds, (water was freezing) Its location at the Quieter end of the resort with about a 20 minute walk to the centre, allthough there is a road train which only costs 3 lev. From the lovely Manageress down all the staff work very hard and are friendly and helpfull. Be carefull when out in the resort or travelling on buses as there are pick pockets about, but the resort is very safe when walking about."

"We visited this hotel for the last two weeks of August and travelled with Thomas Cook. The holiday overall was really good. Did not like the main part of Sunny Beach as too many pole dancing places etc. Not particularly suitable for families. Nessebar is a lovely place to visit but a lot of gypsies trying to take advantage of tourists. Tiara Beach Hotel itself was definitely 4 star. Food quality was very good, the staff were extremely helpful (especially Reception, Bell Boys and the guy at the front of restaurant) and the cleanliness was very good. Mini aqua park was a hit with the kids as were the female members of the entertainment team with some of the older male guests - which added to the entertainment value! Biggest turn-off were some of the other English guests who behaved like thugs during water polo games and were the only people to get really hammered at the bar.
Travelled with Thomas Cook and experienced 3.5 hour delays both ends. Really annoyed as no reps. present and no info. given. You really are on your own once you have gone through passport control."

excellent hotel - no massage :(
"We (2 girls)are currently staying at the hotel, been here for a week n half up to now and having a fab holiday. Hotel is clean and tidy - maid service excellent. All the staff are extremely friendly. However today we decided to have a massage. Only 60 lev for a full body Swedish massage, the guy was a bit a bit lechy at first but we thought nothing of it until we were actually in a room on our own with him. The guy inappropriately stripped off bikini bottoms and attempted to touch us - not very nice in the slightest.
Don't let this stop you from staying at this hotel as it is brilliant this is the only downside."
