"me and my partner were a bit distressed while we holidayed here.the hotel we could not fault.there was a dog came round the pool it was only a puppy and was not doing any harm.a member of staff came out of the hotel with a pool cue and hit the dog over the back which distressed a few british people instead of just getting a piece of bread and taking it out of the gate.a few days later the poor dog came running along the back of our hotel yelping badly everyone stood up to see what was going on and another member of staff was chasing the dog.we do not know if he had kicked the dog but he was seen speaking to a cleaner and then he put something in the bin.there was no need for the staff members to hit the dog the way they did.before we came home a norwegian lady was looking into taking the dog home with her i hope she gets him because no animal deserves to be treated the way this poor dog was."

"i found the rooms okay but overall found this hotel totally disgusting should never be rated a 4 star hotel caters mainly for the germans and ignors the english the bar area consists of 5 tables and 20 chairs the glasses were plastic which i also find a disgrace also the food was disgusting i was bad for 5 days of my holiday and am still suffering now wegot back o monday the 22nd september we understood this hotel was in sunny beach the main part which is a total lie u ave as 45 min to an hour walk to sunny beach its self it cost us a bomb to get the train ythen a taxi back on the night just to get the entertainment the hotel provides enterntainment twice a week for 20mins asnd thats it it doesnt cater for kids nothing fr them to do and foof wasnt catered for kids my daughter lived on soup and a bun everytime we went in restaurant would never ever recommend this hotel to any1 as far as im concerned it shud be a1star and the brochure and internet shud be updated to let people know about as this is false advertising as far as i am concerned also i found the staff rude to english but if a german was at the counter to get a drink they wud serve them first and ignore the english it really ruined my holiday"

Awful services, would definitely not go...
"Awful services, would definitely not go back there again
Room OK, but the restaurant was terrible. The food had a particular smell, we all got stomachaches while staying there and then ate only toast. Beware of their food!
Lousy AI services, snacks not always available, small pool and insufficient sunbeds.
Pretty much a nightmare "

"The Imperial hotel is beautiful! I believe it is a new hotel only open this year and it shows everything is immaculate! It is the first 4* hotel abroad (Europe at least) that I have stayed in that almost measures what I would expect as a 4*.
All of the public areas have been decorated in Egyptian styling with a lot of thought put into it. Nice secluded seating areas means it has a nice relaxed feel.
The room was large and very clean and everything is again new and in great condition although when we were there it was May and only the start of the season so the air conditioning had not been turned on yet but the porter explained that it was still set for heating so a good addition if you were visiting off season when the weather is cooler but we would have appreaciated it blowing cool air because it was still very hot! Maid service with clean towels was every day. Mini bar but don't put your own things in there even if there seems to be room the maid checks and you will be charged rental! Safe in room available for a fairly expensive charge! Tv with quite a few English channels for a change.
The public areas are tended to by a maid or porter around the clock so the public toilets, tables and whole area in general were spotless.
There is only a small area around the pool not a problem at the start of the season but I believe a lack of sun loungers or space may be a problem in high season.
The beach is nice and only a two minute walk from the hotel.
The all inclusive is what you make it. We always go all inc and this is probably the best in terms of variety and quality. The meals were always being renewed so it wasn't a case of when it runs out it's finished. Food not eaten at lunch was not reserved at dinner although we did get some interesting concoctions of soup and I think that this was where the majority of left overs went but this was fine! It is like usual with all inc geared towards the Germans with lots of cold meat for breakfast and dodgy sausages but the beef and pork stews were lovely and the fresh fish was as good as anything from a restaurant. Pizza and chips were served at the snack bar meaning we never went hungry. The all inc drinks were fine 11 till 11 although they did run out of beer twice at the end of the night. The spirits were not branded but were of good quality.
The staff did not speak very good English which leaves you a bit to your own devices. Even for simple things like when does the train run into sunny beach (a must because you are a good 10 min by taxi into town ranging from 15 to 40 levs) was met by a blank not understanding, considering it stops outside the hotel they had no idea what we were asking them. I am sure we missed a lot about Bulgaria because you get a lot of general information from reception or the friendly bar man, but no, lack of English means unless you know before you go or meet someone that has been before then the hotel is not got going to tell you!
Would I recommend this hotel Yes! Would I got back Yes but only at the start of the season again and armed with more info on places to go and things to see!"
