"We stayed here in July 2006. Although we've been to Austria many times this is certainly the best hotel we've stayed in. In a stunning location with fantastic views over the village and to the mountains beyond, about ten minutes walk from the village centre. Rooms are spacious and very clean, worth paying extra for a larger room with balcony. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Food was excellent with great buffet breakfast and four course dinner, served in the lovely dining room with great views. Can't wait to return! "

The Excellent Hotel Seelos in Seefeld

"The Hotel Seelos is a very rare hotel indeed, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we knew we were at a unique and wonderful place. The staff are wonderful (our waitress Suzanne was delightful) and your host David is also a delight. The rooms were first class and very spacious and the food was consistently wonderful. The hotel itself sits on a slight rise overlooking the lovely Alpine village of Seefeld, which is close enough for all the amenities but far enough away to be unspoilt and tranquil. We have stayed in many hotels all over Austria (and indeed Europe) and the Hotel Seelos is, by a very great deal, the best we have ever stayed in. We can thoroughly recommend it to families, couples and singlies alike. You'll all be very welcome and will not want to leave. We hope to be able to return next year."

"We came here on our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were quite large and the rooms were cleaned very well every day. The dinners were very impressive with 4 courses with really nice food. A free lunch is available. The view is very good of Seefeld. Will certainly come back again"

Don't shout too loud.....

"After a superb holiday in 2004, we returned in Aug 2005 and will be visiting this excellent family run hotel once more in Aug 2006. All the rooms are spacious and kept meticulously clean. It is situated on a small plateau some 300/400 yards from the centre of town. This is just far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle but not too far for a nice evening stroll after dinner.....Perhaps that should be a long walk as the food is plentiful and extremely tasty. The staff are available when required (ie not always 'in your face') and are keen to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular - from dawn to dusk they appear to create a differing backcloth for your stay. If you like walking, there are numerous paths to tempt you with varying degrees of difficulty; even some accompanied walks If you like trips - there's always Innsbruck and Mittenwald (Germany) nearby or the Italian Lakes over the southern border. Why do we say 'dont shout too loud'? Simply because we want to make sure that there will be enough room for us again next year!"

A Wonderful Find

"We booked this hotel through Inghams, UK. From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we were in a very special place. We enjoyed a lovely room with seating area and balcony which had a wonderful panorama over Seefeld and the mountains. The hotel is set on a small plateau, just a five minute walk from the village centre, but enough to give it a special 'alpine meadow feel'. The staff were delightful; the hotel spotless and the food was superb. We have two teenagers and even they found the food fab (fussy eaters!). We would recommend Seefeld and in particular the Hotel Seelos which exceeded our expectations. Seefeld itself is very pretty with fantastic walking opportunities. It is situated on a railway line linking it with Innsbruck and Munich and villages in between. There are also lots of cable cars and chair lifts, allowing access to the higher paths. We came back feeling great!!"
