A very modern hotel
"Hotel Toni is a very modern hotel, built in the last few years. The double rooms are huge and of an excellent standard. The hotel has some excellent facilities particularly the wellness suite and pool. My main criticisum is the buffet style dinner every night. Food quality is good and as it is a buffet the quantity is staggering but it feels more Butlins than 4*. The waitress service wasn't great either so frankly it feels like an attempt to shave a few ££s from the costs which is a real shame. The location is within 2min of the bus stop to take you to either the Zell or Glacier lifts. We got this hotel on a deal from Crystal so it represented great value for money."

Super child-friendly hotel with great staff
"We arrived at the "Toni" on 13 Feb' as part of a group of four families (we had earlier walked out of another Kaprun hotel called the "Rudolfshof" after a dreadful experience with the owners - see seperate review) - the rooms at the "Toni" were great with fantastic views, the staff were great and really looked after our kids, the food was buffet style and excellent every night - overall this was a great experience - everybody had a ball and, after a very bad start to our holiday at the "Rudolfshof", our faith in Austrian hotels was restored. No hesitation in recommending this hotel."

Great hotel, returning this March :)
"Me and my girlfriend stayed here April 2008. Only just realised I didn't write a review about this amazing place. We booked through Crystal Ski and got a great deal of £450 pp which was a saving of about £200 each from the brochure price. We did the learn to board which was very good value for money and the instructors were very nice. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. The room was very nice and comfortable with a great view from our balcony. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the food was very different each night with a great variety including a salad counter. Unlike most buffet restaurants the food was served hot! There was also free soft drinks each evening which can save a fortune over a week, these included Fanta, Coke and Sprite. The breakfasts were very nice with cheese's, cold meats and hot food. Theres a ski room downstairs to keep all your gear in. The ski bus is just over the road from the Toni and takes about 10 mins to get to the bottom of the mountain. There you take 2 cable car rides up to the 'Big Apple'. The snow was great on the Kitzeinhorn although the snow had gone from Kaprun in April. There was a good variety of runs which were all long runs. The Big Apple served really good food at decent prices. Kaprun was a nice little town with a few good bars and restaurants. The only downfall was smoking was still allowed indoors last April so I stunk of fags! The Toni was at the end of the town, although it was only a 2 min walk into town. There were a few good shops around and good discounts available in April too. I really recommend this place and I am returning this March with some people we met there last year."

Brilliant Summer Stay at the Hotel Toni
"My wife and I stayed at the hotel Toni for 1 week half-board during July 2008. We booked last minute, directly through the Crystal Holidays Lake & Mountains website, costing £289pp flying from Newcastle, UK. This represented a significant saving on their brochure price. We were really pleased with the Toni. More soon.."

Fantastic hotel, Great service
"This is the first time that we have been skiing and it was fantastic. The Hotel Toni is immaculate, and the staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. We checked in to the hotel quite late, and they had put some lovely bread and cold meats on the table in our room. I don't normally like buffets, but this one is great with really good variations of food every night. The hotel has a spa but everyone goes commando. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which is goes straight to the glacier or the centre. There is also a handy supermarket behind the hotel if you need anything. Opposite the hotel, there is an Austrian bar called Dorstadt which is really cosy and is definitely worth a visit."

"33 of us stayed here as a group (aged 4 to 44) and had a blast. Staff were very friendly and had no problem catering for our large group. Likewise barman stayed till the death to accommodate our late night Apres Ski habits . Great facilities for kids . Pool could have been hotter. Jacuzzi could have been hotter and bigger but wellness center definitely worth an extended visit. Will be returning next year for sure. Also Kaprun has a very efficient taxi service for those with young kids that don't fancy trekking about with boots and skis. 10 minute walk to ski school pickup point"

"Stayed in the apartments section of hotel Toni without catering. There is kitchenette in them. The apartments for 4 persons were super. Not very spacious and modern, but clean, cozy, with separate balconies, showers and toilettes for the rooms. On the main street, 5 min walk from the center, 50 meters to ski bus stop. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ski rent EuropSport at Gassner st. 682, (When walking from Toni towards center just pass big Ski Dome). The guys are most friendly and helpful in the world, the choice of equipment is wide, the prices good and discounts applicable."

"Went with Crystal in march. Hotel was great, I have stayed in lots of types of ski accomodation and have to say that this was some of the best. The room was massive - with separate shower and toilet which was handy The "wellness" area was great - jacuzzi, sauna, infa red, herbal steam room - a great treat. The food was buffet but varied and tasty The staff were all really friendly and service was really efficient The hotel is just across the road from the bus stop up to the Khitzbhuel (?) glacier. Be warned it will take you a good 20 -30mins to get up the alpine centre this is not a ski in/ski out resort but well worth the trek. We didn't go out much just apres ski dinner and some drinks in the hotel as were truly knackered from all the snow:) but the resort seemed nice enough and the apres ski in the umbrella was truly great and lots of fun - they know how to apres ski over in austria. Crystal were ok to be honest we didn't do any of the trips just got dropped off and picked up which went smoothly enough."

"Booked the hotel Toni in Kaprun as a last minute deal. On arrival was very impressed with the hotel , very friendly staff and lovely spa area. The food was also lovely and never felt the need to eat out. Slightly out of the buzz of the town, but there were frequent buses and it was only a 5 minute walk. This hotel is in an enviable position for the main ski area, which is only about a 5-10 minute bus ride. The town of Kaprun was a wee gem, with lovely cafes and designer shops. Nightlife is a bit low key, however I can recomend the pavillion and kitsch and bitter for some apres ski drinks. Would definately return."

Nice new hotel
"We stayed at the Hotel Toni 17-24 March 2007. Although the Toni is located on the outskirt of the village, it is very convienent for buses to the Glacier (just 30 metres). Village centre just 7 minute walk. Hotel newly opened, very clean and rooms spacious. Great variety of food for breakfast and dinner. Great spa but pool quite small. I would recommend this Hotel and would definitely return."
